when we go down to bristol Pa in the delaware we use chunks of herring al ways caught fish over 5 pounds give it a shot but you got a good chance of catching strippers also

i like doing this to ill have 2 big rods out for the big boys and throw a little light action rod out with liver or small pieces of shad for the fish in the 1-10 lb range...just sucks when you hook into a 25 or 30 lber in current and theres nothing you can do but watch the spool get more and more empty

I think he was using 10 er 12 lb...I know it was light line
