  • hey nice playing , and great tone from your amp..does your amp have a single EL34 in the output or 2 el84's?

  • @egotripband

    Hi, it's got 2 EL84s. Cheers!

  • Hello, i have a gibson ga 15, wich i belive is pretty much the same amp as a velocette, can you tel me the model number of the output transformer? thanks

  • @setantii

Sure, it's from the APS series, OT ref. TRACE-VEL-OM Trace Elliot Velocette -- 8 & 16Ω taps

  • What song are you playing in the begginning? thanks!

  • what guitar are you using?

  • @greenfish88

    Hi,

the guitar is a vintage Gibson Melody Maker from the 60s. Thanks for listening!

  • @littlefury I had one of those amps and liked it BUT it fatigued the ear due to upper mid spikiness/pingy attack.

Can you tell me if the Mercury tamed some of that harshness(common in almost all new amps it seems to me)

  • @bootlegapples

Yes it did. The amp sounds much mellower now.

  • @littlefury

I'm thinking allot of that owes to the vintage correct alloys in MM transformers. This info is most useful, thanks.

  • this video is kinda arty with the star of the film doing it's thang and no visible "operator". But I believe everything about it. It just sits there on the floor cryin, barkin, growlin and singin and the camera only moves slightly so you know it's a video and not a still. Littlefury - you a smooth operator.

  • Wow! I have a Velocette 1 10 also. The OT blewbut out the first month - but I had it repaired and that was apporx 10 years ago. Magic with a Strat or a Jagstang. Out Z's my Carmen Ghia at half the price...
