I think most religions are bad, but Scientology is the worst one that I am aware of. I really question why we consider it to be a religion. My opinion is that they are all just superstitions, but Scientology isn't even that, it is based on science-fiction and uses extreme methods to exploit/control its members. It should not be categorized as religion and should not get tax exempt status. But, good luck finding a senator or representative in US Congress with enough backbone to ever address it.
Congratulations...finally something will be done about these cults like Scientology. As if their the problem!
We must first deal with our own treacherous and terrorist Government that forces distraught parents under penalty of jail to have their kids vaccinated.
Failing this, the kids are taken away into family protective services; and you have no recourse, no matter the reason, be it medical, religious, or your own fears as a parent.
The American Government is deadly...Watch out for them!
Great insight, Mark. However, I really don't think Scientology will ever give away their so-called courses for free. They claim they are a religious organization, but to alot of us they truly are a dangerous cult who ruined lives and separated families. I would love to receive as many Dianetic books as I can get- saves me money from spending on toilet paper. God Bless you Mark.
what i do when it comes to ex-scientologists is i give them the benefit of doubt. when it matters, i always try to think at least twice. what i am looking for is them speaking out publicly, and then i look for indications that they really got it, that they reached a higher level of awareness on a philosophical level about this.
but to the others, im still friendly, but i try to ask questions and want answers. combine that with picketing places scientology is actively using, not people.
one thing i think we can all agree on, and that might solve the problem you are describing:
focus on the structures of scientology that are alive / actively working for the cult. focus more on structures, less on people.
but there are a few questions i have for every ex-scientologist, that need to be answered before i can trust them. torymagoo, jason beghe, and many others did so, im just cathing up about mike rinder, watching vids about him now, and he might make it too.
I do think people are in the cult of scientology because they are brainwashed. The brainwashing starts the very first moment you allow yourself to visit the cult. People dont know from the first moment that they are dealing with a system that want them to believe in a volcano theory. From the moment they know what they are dealing with and still wants to continue their membership, is for me a good incdication of brainwashing, because it is normally small children who would believe in that kind.
Wise Beardman is wise. To summarize ... busting Rathbun's ass makes no sense as it may weaken his resolve and he is still useful in taking down the greater body of the Co$. He does not mesh 100% with all the opinions push by the project, however, similar dissent is seen within Anon itself both in regards to the Project and even in our overall attitudes toward various things... like drugs, prawn, and politics. Do not seek to destroy Rathbun until he has served his purpose, if at all.
@Anonymous1049 Anyway in the end i believe he will be destroyed if he doesn't drop the ritual of freaky-healing... He has the right to believe in anything he wants, but he has the responsibility of not harming others, for example denying medication or prohibiting medical attention by licensed professionals (a.k.a. medic/doctor). So he either learns to play nice WITH fellow humans or he will be suppressed.
Please look at my video response. I called information to get the phone number for the Lisa Mcpherson Trust, and they said they had no information. They are scientology.
WBM, I miss Bob Minton and his strait shootn' approach to handling the injustices of the Co$, WBM you are his friend, what is the chance of getting a quote from Bob about the recent developments around the world concerning the cult?
A corporation is a soulless entity created ONLY for the purpose of making money. No, they will never change, destruction is the only real form of creation in these cases.
I have the upmost respect for you. I encountered as well as my friends the nastiness and illogical arrogance this group displays. I CANNOT STAND SCIENTOLOGISTS. These crooks need to be stopped and stupid celebrities like Tom Cruise, Will Smith and Leah Remini are not helping throwing their money at them.
why hasn't the U.S. govt held any investigations regarding human rights violations? Anybody know? Mr. Bunker do you know if the American govt has tried to do something?
Another great video, WBM, but I don't understand why you defend RInder and Rathburn. It's an insult to Bob Minton to compare them to him. They're not in his league at all.
Rathbun plays his own game for his own reasons. He's been helpful, but he's hardly indispensable.
He doesn't want the tax exemption revoked, which would make Scn much less profitable and much more subject to legal scrutiny.
He's not my ally and he's not in the same fight I'm in.
I understand that we all want Miscavige out. But Rathbun wants himself in.
I don't want Miscavige out so I can come back 5 years from now to get Rathbun out.
Miscavige is the End Phenomenom of the system Hubbard created. Corporate Scn is the problem, not Miscavige himself.
I want the problem solved. Rathbun doesn't.
The Freezone is different because it's not a structure Hubbard created. If Rathbun just wants to lead study groups of people interested in Hubbard's brain droppings, fine.
He has indicated he does not want to go back and take over.
But leaving Scientology is like peeling away the layers of an onion. At first, many think DM is the only problem. As they dig deeper, many start seeing underlying problems. The information is out there. I'm patient.
Mark Bunker,it's really too bad America's secular system is so flawed.I think that's the main reason why scientology is so "popular" and so powerful in your country, your government is overrun by religious lobbies and religious freedom has become so extremethat it does go past the limits sometimes.
There's a reason why Scientology's so frowned upon and so unpopular in European countries such as France,Belgium and Germany.I'm glad there are people like you out there though!Keep up the great work.
@duval14 Rinder has been quiet and sheepish since his departure. What do you think his angle is? Do you think that they want to renew th Sea Org's ladership? Do you think that now after the CNN investigation that their intentions may have changed?
@blackwhimsy Probably hates him. From what I understand, Rinder and Rathbun alike still adhere to the LRH "tech". They simply think the COS leadership need to be reomoved. It's good that they stand against Miscavige, but I personally will never trust anyone who thinks L.Ron Hubbard was the saviour of mankind.
WBM is gud man. he is the container for my fire of rage. the bottle which when uncorked can fire a superheated jet flame way hotter than my meandering inferno. bunkerbuster is gud buster
I mostly agree with you here, but disagree on your comparison in one regard: Rathbun (and Rinder?) is the one doing the attacking. GA and DE went to his blog looking for (and absolutely deserving) something from Rathbun, and got _attacked_ by Rathbun instead. So you need to aim this message in a different direction, IMO.
When Rathbun stops being a jerk, I'm sure attitudes toward him will change. Until then, he's "pulling it in" himself. He's an adult and is responsible for his actions.

"Alan Ralsky, was sentenced to prison - has been spamming since 1997, using dozens of aliases. Also sentenced was Ralsky's 48-year-old son-in-law, Scott K. Bradley, and two other men in a 41-count indictment for wire fraud, mail fraud, money laundering and violations of the CAN-SPAM Act." Anonymous has harassed and attacked them with '8,139 threatening phone calls, ten acts of vandalism against its property, 22 bomb threats, and eight death threats against Church leaders.'"
As far as Rathbun and Rinder go.... they are against COS, the Sea Org and Miscavige.... but Rathbun still stands behind the man who created the Sea Org. He also stands behind the harmful tech written by Hubbard as well as all the awful policies that Hubbard wrote. Doesn't make much sense at all.
WBM You are not mentioned on the Religious Freedom Watch page. However Marty heads the so called "Extremists" list ANS this is sweet Anonymous heads the list of Intolerance and Hate list. Thast must please even the darker side of Anonymous.
The thing is, Scientology, if not maintained by the system prescribed by Hubbard, would fizzle out. Scientology is not designed to survive in the freezone. Sure, former members can take it into the freezone, but to find Scientology for oneself from the freezone, without being hard-sold it, is utterly unconvincing to most people.
Don't be too soft on Elron's rantings known as "The Tech". It was written and executed to warp the core personality of any individual. It's effectiveness makes it evil.
"In short a staff member can get away with murder so long as his statistic is up and can't sneeze without a chop if it's down. ... When people do start reporting a staff member with a high statistic, what you investigate is the person who turned in the report." - L. Ron Hubbard, HCO PL 1 September 1965, "Ethics Protection"
I think Aaron Saxton's point...which I agree with...is Marty is dishonest about his approach. That said, I agree Rathburn and Linder can reach people Anonymous can't ...just keep in mind Marty probably can't be trusted. If they are being honest, they'll understand the caution. My .02.
Miscavige's Scientology is as intended by Hubbard. I agree with Aaron that Miscavige is only implementing Hubbard policy like a zealot.
I also for the most part agree with Aaron's message to Rinder and Rathburn following criticism of them spawned from his initial interview. The world does not need another Sea Org.
The first message from Anonymous stated goal was to dismantle to organisation in its current form. This is perhaps a recognition that an idea, like scientology, can't be destroyed.
i'd have to disagree (and one back me up with flame here). This vid isn't reognition that scientology can't be dismantled. at this point and time the plan is going as it should, eg high level people are leaving and another government is looking in to it, ect. Anonymous said that they would dismantle scientology by exsposing it, forcing it to lose memebers and thus money and then going after in for abuses in court. now they are in the make it loose members point.
South Australia, My home state, almost the only time I have ever been proud of the city of churchs. Lets just hope it becomes the City of 1 less church.
I was involved for 6 years.
It uses basic brainwashing skills.
My 1st session, at 8 years of age, was a 10 hr grilling on 2 questions. It took them 10 hours for me to answer in the affirmative;
Do fish fly
Do birds swim
They bypass rationality by invoking fear and then using conditioning to reprogram intrinsic thought patterns.
Right as always. Whilst tempting to give them a hard time, don't. They are actually being very brave switching sides like that and deserve encouragement.
"Senator Xenophon, of the Australian Parliament, asked the Australian government to make an inquiry into the Church of scientology Australia. What will follow is an investigation into the allegations of forced abortions, slave labor, false imprisonment and obstruction of justice concerning the deaths of members of the Church of Scientology." Great quote brought to us by another great Anonymous mind! Hail Xenophon
Once Scilons clear the planet and have shattered criticism so that there are no critics left, Hubbard instructed that his followers build a Space Org, and begin clearing the Universe. Are Marty and others of his ilk going to stop scapegoating the "evil psychs?" That's like asking a Nazi to stop blaming Jews. You are a wonderful person Mark and have done great work, but my attention has turned to Aaron Saxton and Xenophon, because their bold, clear words cut through the fog. LRH was a liar.
Honestly Mark, I don't think we should be compromising just because it isn't likely that Scientology will be gotten rid of. What if Martin Luther King wanted to just "compromise" peace and the destruction of segregation. I think we should aim to destroy Scientology, and then afterwords Catholicism. I feel as if compromising is just a way to say "We can't beat them, so lets just compromise". LOSER TALK. Anything is possible with enough passion behind it.
Judging from the degree of reform Scientology underwent after weeding out "bad apples" following the Paulette Cooper horror, I would say that Scientology is a frightening totalitarian organization that is rotten to the very core, and needs to be dismantled. We are very lucky Scientology never came to political power and started disposing of low toned people "quietly and without sorrow." They will not stop until the planet is "clear." That is what they have been programmed to do.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Mark you should have stopped this video in the fist 2 minutes, because your reform speach really lost ground with me personally and probably listening to you in the future!
GOOGLE > ( Deaths of Scientolgy ) > GOOGLE > ( Blown For Good ) > GOOGLE > ( My Billion Year Contract ) GOOGLE > ( LIsa McPherson ) GOOGLE > ( The Truth Rundown ) GOOGLE > ( KFI Scientology )
Mark Rathbun deserves everything that comes to him.
He still works to delude people and allows people to stay willfully ignorant and uninformed about their faith.
Mark, Scientology is evil. It deserves to be eliminated. Fair game? The removal of any individual's rights who disagrees and questions scientology. Sound a lot like radical islam doesn't it?
Scientology at it's core is fraud. The world will be better without it.
That;s very true.Didn't Paulette Cooper's boyfriend turn out to be from the Guardian's office? Wasn't it he who pinched her p/c paper with her thumbprint on it?
Bob shouldn't feel too bad. It takes a HUGE amount of courage to take on the COS.You do what you can.Lots of small drops can led to an ocean that grinfds down the cliffface of Scientology.Stuart (Plymouth Scientology) had to stop because they were using his medical marijuana stance against him & his health suffered.U do what u can.
What exactly happened to Minton? Everyone talks about the 'things that were done to him' in hushed tones, and again, I'm reminded of how secrets and lies breed secrets and lies... it would be nice if that information could come out for the benefit of all.
Xenophon has done this well, his fight isn't against scientology in general, rather the fact that if their are claims of abuse within the church, then the governemnt needs to investigate. he stated jsut because the catholic church was a religious organization, it doesn't mean it wouldn't be investigated for sexual abuse, so why should scientology be treated any different. No religion is above the law!! Xenophon for PM!!

To our mates in the US. Write to your senators and for pity's sake VOTE!
If your senator doesn't do anything, start writing them letters telling them all the crappy things they're allowing to happen on their watch.
Here's the thing though....
Write it yourself and send it snail-mail. Politicians pay ten times more attention to a physical letter with a real signiature on it.
If you are under voting age, ask for your parents/guardian's to support you and have them sign the letter also.

Oh and if the abuses of COS were to stop, they would not be able to survive.PERIOD.
It is obvious that Miscavige is no interested in changing things. He is a criminal.
dasboatbabe 2 years ago 3
Hey WBM, good to see you.
As far as Rathbun and Rinder go.... they are against COS, the Sea Org and Miscavige.... but Rathbun still stands behind the man who created the Sea Org. He also stands behind the harmful tech written by Hubbard as well as all the awful policies that Hubbard wrote. Doesn't make much sense at all.
dasboatbabe 2 years ago 2
WBM You are not mentioned on the Religious Freedom Watch page. However Marty heads the so called "Extremists" list ANS this is sweet Anonymous heads the list of Intolerance and Hate list. Thast must please even the darker side of Anonymous.

The thing is, Scientology, if not maintained by the system prescribed by Hubbard, would fizzle out. Scientology is not designed to survive in the freezone. Sure, former members can take it into the freezone, but to find Scientology for oneself from the freezone, without being hard-sold it, is utterly unconvincing to most people.

"In short a staff member can get away with murder so long as his statistic is up and can't sneeze without a chop if it's down. ... I think Aaron Saxton's point...which I agree with...is Marty is dishonest about his approach. That said, I agree Rathburn and Linder can reach people Anonymous can't ...just keep in mind Marty probably can't be trusted. If they are being honest, they'll understand the caution. My .02.
trinity12357 2 years ago
Miscavige's Scientology is as intended by Hubbard. I agree with Aaron that Miscavige is only implementing Hubbard policy like a zealot.
I also for the most part agree with Aaron's message to Rinder and Rathburn following criticism of them spawned from his initial interview. The world does not need another Sea Org.
The first message from Anonymous stated goal was to dismantle to organisation in its current form. This is perhaps a recognition that an idea, like scientology, can't be destroyed.
anonymous1312 2 years ago
i'd have to disagree (and one back me up with flame here).

My 1st session, at 8 years of age, was a 10 hr grilling on 2 questions. It took them 10 hours for me to answer in the affirmative;
Do fish fly
Do birds swim
They bypass rationality by invoking fear and then using conditioning to reprogram intrinsic thought patterns.

DarkBlazerX 2 years ago 3
Judging from the degree of reform Scientology underwent after weeding out "bad apples" following the Paulette Cooper horror, I would say that Scientology is a frightening totalitarian organization that is rotten to the very core, and needs to be dismantled. We are very lucky Scientology never came to political power and started disposing of low toned people "quietly and without sorrow." They will not stop until the planet is "clear." That is what they have been programmed to do.

What Mark doesn't realize is that those "friends of Bob Minton that attacked him" might have in fact been OSA operatives.
OSA sometimes tries to demoralize it's enemies by coming to them "as a friend" then attacking them from the side door.
It's when people you consider to be your friend or allies that criticize that is the worst not when it's someone you know is your enemy.
000TruthSeeker000 2 years ago
That;s very true.Didn't Paulette Cooper's boyfriend turn out to be from the Guardian's office? Wasn't it he who pinched her p/c paper with her thumbprint on it?
Bob shouldn't feel too bad. It takes a HUGE amount of courage to take on the COS.You do what you can.Lots of small drops can led to an ocean that grinfds down the cliffface of Scientology.Stuart (Plymouth Scientology) had to stop because they were using his medical marijuana stance against him & his health suffered.U do what u can.

Rathburn and Rinder are the same breed of asshole that chummed around with the 'alpha bully' in elementary school.
They obeyed unquestioningly because he was stronger and more agressive than they were.
Once he started getting in trouble, however, they pussied out and ratted him out to save their own skin.
It's not about them changing the direction their moral compasses face(figuratively speaking), it's about self-preservation.
What do I know, though. I only observe people for fun.
Kalenos 2 years ago 6
