@stevomwa1 Well... yeah, but that is the point of a pit bike. The original pit bikes were peewee class bikes modified for adult use and banging bars in the back yard. Now purpose built pit bikes come pre modified for adult use but still embody the small frame of the original bike. Pit bikes can be ridden but just about any age, however the suspensions are sprung for 150lb +
@easykilla08 Yeah it has plenty of power for you. Of course the gearing you choose has a lot to do with it, but check my other videos where I race this bike and it might give you an idea.
very good video evrey ssr 125cc video is like in their small yard finnaly a video at an open area, nice i wish people would make more like these, i know i am when i get mine
@psprocks777 Really good shape. I have modified it over the years, but lots of the hard parts are original. Frame, wheels, forks, brakes, handlebars, seat, ect... I still ride and race it.
@thejunkman hey uhh i plann on getting this bike but i was just wondering if its got enough get up and go for a 140lbs teen. does it have the balls for some hills and wide open feilds?

As fast as you will want it to go. All depends on gearing. But for most motocross tracks the fastest your ever going to go is some where in the 20's. Top speed is probably 45 mph.
It fades as in there is little oil in the shock (compared to a reservoir type) and it gets hot and damping is affected in the sense that the shock becomes bouncier/less controled. It is only preload adjustable. The shock I replaced it with has compression and rebound adjustments.
I have replaced the chain b/c the original wore out. I replaced the original shock with a better (more adustment) one. Of course tires and tubes. Other than that nothing major.
Well some are better than others, I like the SSR line of bikes (I have several) Give Outlaw Powersports a jingle and tell him The Junk Man sent you, probably make you a deal. He has a bunch of models for every price range. Generally speaking the more you spend the better the bike.
90 million miles an hour ;) They all go about 40-45 tops faster if you change the gearing, I have this geared down for short tracks so 35 is about top speed for me. On any given track 15-20 is about all the faster you will go.
Huh.. I have had mine for over 3 years. Still on the stock wheels, spokes, bearings. Only thing I broke was the crappy rear shock. And I am not exactly easy on the bike and its been through a many of races.
im gettin this in 14'' 12'' tires and om 5'4'' 160 pounds is this a good size bike for me
bgroves1275 4 months ago
@bgroves1275 yeah its a good bike with the bigger wheels. Its still a mini so you will be cramped a bit.

@easykilla08 For wide open fields I recomend the version with the 14/12 wheels as it will roll over the gopher and snake holes a lot better.

hey man gotta question is that bike even strong enough to clear those jumps??? hit me back man. please! see ya
HaLo3pLaNb 2 years ago
Yes, but I recomend changing the shock to a remote reservoir type as this stock one fades quickly.
thejunkman 2 years ago
wait what do you mean fades quickly?? like it isnt very strong? and i thought it was adjustable?? thanks

It fades as in there is little oil in the shock (compared to a reservoir type) and it gets hot and damping is affected in the sense that the shock becomes bouncier/less controled. It is only preload adjustable. The shock I replaced it with has compression and rebound adjustments.

For short BMX style tracks, they are so tight you need the quickness of the motor, not nessarily all out speed.
thejunkman 3 years ago
90 million miles an hour ;) They all go about 40-45 tops faster if you change the gearing, I have this geared down for short tracks so 35 is about top speed for me. On any given track 15-20 is about all the faster you will go.
