I fail to understand why the band and the drumline never warm up "together", as opposed to "at the same time". This was a great source of annoyance to me when I was in the band in college.
@yman4444 right, but i think my comment was dealing with the question of why the "drum parts" don't make sense. My answer was, the drum parts aren't for the salvation is created winds warm-up. sorry for the confusion
@loblolly90 It grows on you. It's a Goin' Band thing. Even though the drum part doesn't correspond to the song at all, once you've heard it enough times you start to have trouble hearing the song without it.
Anderson was the best! Sad for Tech he left.

We've been doin' this @ Jacksonville State University in AL since the late sixties...gorgeous, ain't it?

Fairly robotic conducting. That and the drum line part are the only things I do not like about this.

@facemash for marching band, that's not robotic at all...that's actually pretty smooth
jck1794 1 year ago
@jck1794 It's smooth but that doesn't mean it's not robotic. I can't stand drum majors that don't move at all.

I gotta say the hyperactive drum arrangement is a strange choice.

lol, it's an onfield warmup. It doesn't have anything to do with the wind players onfield warm up...

I wish they would do this for the CD...if they even do the CD anymore. Do they still do 'spectacular' or whatnot?
