  • at 6:08. "Why is law enforcement always so upset? Is there some other reason"?

Yes, there is. Unfortunately, the people who are leading the way to legalization, are out of touch with some of the underlying things that perpetuate prohibition. One big reason is that pot smokers have been "in the face" of the prohibitionists all these years. That isn't easily forgotten. Another reason, law enforcement has gotten so used to making jokes about "potheads", they don't want to lose that.

  • dont know why i noticed this but the when the guy with the glasses dips his head and you stare through his glasses the tv screen is completely blue not the face to face yellow

  • the curve of his glasses bends the light, just like how if you put a pencil in a glass of water the pencil will look like its cut in 2

  • Yes, cannabis - as we call it in England - does stay in the body for 30 days approx; but after some 12hrs- 24hrs -36 hrs after smoking cannabis, depending on the person & amount of cannabis used, then traces of cannabis are of 'inactive' traces and have no influence over the persons judgement. irra

  • whats that little "irra" at the end of your post?

  • i just want my freedom, to do with my body as i wish. is that to much to ask?? aparently.

  • @TheShyPieGuy

Yes, that is too much to ask, as you body is not yours but property of the state. The only substances you're allowed are GMO's and SOMA.

Ironically politicians need only look in the mirror to see how many bad decisions come out of alcohol as they tend to drink (un)fairly heavily during meetings, and boy do they make bad decisions!!!

Alc. makes you overly confident and reckless, MJ makes you cautious and chary. As rule of thumb. No rules without exceptions obviously.

  • Good video but sad to see that doctors still don't know crap.

Its been proven that THC kills cancer why why why must people still think there is a gateway theory and cancer involved with cannabis such ignorance is bliss.

  • I'd like to add that the cartel mark up on a single ounce since it is illegal is almost 1000% compared to what it takes to run grow farms, if the state takes that # and then says well we can sell it for a 50% profit compared to their investments your undercutting them by 800-850% of the profit the cartels make, and like i said if you cut their wages they will STOP joining these cartels because it is the only way to make an American wage that is like a 5,6,or even 7 figure wage in their country

  • just to point out one of the many finds of these studies alcohol is far harder for "juveniles" to get then marijuana that has been proven again and again, and personally proven to myself when i was in high school, as for organized crime flourishing and thrive, most of these criminals make minimum wage or close to it, if the state sells an ounce for 1/2 or even 1/4 of the cartels and this is 70% of their income immediately they lose at least 35% of their profits to pay their criminals,

  • FREE MARC EMERY !!!

  • I like how they say it's almost impossible to overdose on marijuana, I would love to see someone try to do it, can you imagine the size of that Joint!

  • if it does not affect you, why would you even have an opinion? we are dominated by control freaks who judge everyone but themselves and have given themselves the power to tell us whats good for us and desire to see us to follow their wishes or be burned as witches.

  • If you legalize Marijuana a lot of law enforcement jobs will be lost and prisons will be closed.

  • i have seen people die from lung cancer that had never even smoked anything in their life

  • MMP is a fucking joke. Just think about what they are asking for. 15 dedicated grows plus 120 dispensaries. No grow for yourself at all. These people are just trying to set up and corner the market for themselves or for whoever is funding them.

If these guys get what they wan't, you can guarantee you will pay at least $350-400 per oz for legal weed. The penalties for trying to undermine this market will be punished the way pot is now.

I bet those 15 grows go to Big Pharma or Tobacco.

  • umm, no dumbass, theyd lower the price cuz noone in the right mind would pay for tht, unless its rly good shit, theyve even said this shit on the news

people still have common sence, theyve thot of that before?

  • Good luck convincing the government that we should be allowed to grow our own weed..

It is about baby steps, today we talk about 15 dedicated grows, and 120 dispensaries..

Tommorow we inch our way into allowing x amount of grows for personal use..

The day after, we start talking about no limitations..

But you cant jump from point a to point b.

  • "But you cant jump from point a to point b"

    They did with alcohol prohibition.

They don't want to, because they don't want to, end of story.

  • @coffeebuzzz

    Alcohol is the popular drug..

Also, there was a constiutional amendment banning alcohol..

Therefore it was easier to jump from point a to point b..

With marijuana prohbition they purposely made it so it isn't as easy as alcohol prohibition.

  • " Alcohol is the popular drug.. "

Add to that nicotine, caffeine and refined sugar.

  • Smoke contains carcinogens, period. The reason people don't really get cancer from smoking cannabis is probably because THC has cancer-fighting properties, thus protecting while attacking. For maximum health, don't smoke - suck on candy, eat brownies, or vaporize... no smoking necessary and no confirmed health risks that way.

  • And if you must smoke, a water pipe (or bong, if you prefer) is good for filtering out some of the carcinogens and cooling the smoke.

  • I'm not aware of any studies looking at the filtering effectiveness of a bubble chamber. I don't think it takes a substantial amount of crap out of the smoke. Probably as effective as a joint filter.

I think smoking hash may be better than bud though, since hash comes close to 100% active ingredient and you don't get all that burned plant matter.

  • Just Tried a vaporiser, illegal here in Australia so they are rare. It is the way to go, once you try some nice weed through a vape, you won't go back. It's a bit of a hassle, so only really good at home, justs let me indulge in a joint at parties and such. No tight chest at all in the morning and your clothes don't stink, I am definately a convert, now just have to sneak one past customs.

  • Cannabis may lead to lung cancer? Show me one case, just ONE!

  • Inhaling smoke.....SMOKE increases the risk of cancer. Dont be naive.

  • It's not the smoke, it's what's in the smoke. And if what is in the smoke of a burning cannabis plant can cause cancer then show me one case. I dare you. I double dare you. Just one case of a person getting cancer from smoking cannabis. I'll wait.

  • ok lester grinspoon you senile hack

  • Lester Grinspoon has been fighting for marijuana legalization for decades. What's your point? He doesn't have cancer. His son had leukemia but didn't smoke marijuana until after he was diagnosed.

  • My point is you saw the union with dr grinspoon and you're just repeating some shit he said, shit that may or may not be true. I doubt he knows he was a doctor of psychology not a medical doctor. Its no different than the lemmings who eat up the bullshit spewed by the DEA in defense of prohibition. No one takes the time to think about weather the info they're presented is true anymore, just if it reinforces their position or threatens it.

  • When I see any proof that marijuana DOES kill people, that it DOES cause cancer, then my opinion shall be swayed. But at this current moment in time, no one knows of any person who has lung cancer because of marijuana. If anything, there is research that shows that marijuana might actually have cancer fighting properties. Now, this is not concrete yet, but it seems to be the complete opposite of cancer causing, doesn't it?

  • @EscpdFrmPsykward

It could be prooved without a doubt that marijuana causes cancer, and it wouldn't sway me..

It is not the governments business to punish me for unwise decisions. The unwise decisions will be punishment enough...

I would take it a step further..

I am becoming a health freak, I see obess people and can't help but think they're messing up their lives more then I am with marijuana..

But it would not be my business to force them to diet and excersize.

  • Oh I didn't look at this in context sorry

  • aren't you spouting the same old rhetoric from the movie reefer days yourself?

  • That bs on the BBC? I don't believe so. I said hippie for lack of a better word. The point is if people supporting legalization fail to acknowledge that there are health risks, including abuse and dependence, albeit relatively mild ones, then they're going to make asses of themselves in debate. The argument that weed can never do wrong is untenable because its false. But arguing the mildness of the risks, compared to alcohol and other drugs, that'll make the DEA and their minions look like asses

  • that may be true, i dont know... but a normal cigarret (spelling) user smokes like 15-20 cigarrets per day. a heavy cannabis user might smoke around 15-20 joints per week. see the difference? and btw most cannabis users smoke like 2-3 joints (that they share with others) per week so this was just an extrem example

  • I'm not sure either but I find it hard to believe that inhaling burning shit has no negative effects. Any time something burns it gives off CO which is poisonous. I smoke twice a month I'm not worried about the risk but I don't buy the myth that burnt cannabis magically doesn't produce a single carcinogen. That's the thing I hate about the legalization movement, this idea that there are no negative consequences. They may be less than alcohol and overstated over the years but they do exist.

  • Anytime some hippie poster boy gets up in front of a bunch of retarded hippie followers and spews this non sense, that weed is great and wonderful and awesome and can never hurt anyone and we should all be stoned 24/7, that hurts legalization. People see that and conclude that weed obviously made that guy retarded and all the people listening to him retarded and therefore must render any who use it retarded and so lets perpetuate prohibition least our kids become retarded stoners.

  • SMOKE is a residual vapour of a combusted product. Thats like saying smoke from food will give you lung cancer. You my good sir are a RETARD

  • smoke from food? you mean steam? whos the retard?

  • No steam is from water. what do you think is happening to food when it cooks huh? little molecules are burning off and the food is gaining a similar, but proccessed chemical form (im terrible at spelling btw). Sometimes its steam yes but also sometime its smoke from combusting food product. Good friend of mine is a chef at a 4 star restaurant, told me this stuff when he taight me to cook. Whos the retard now?

  • hemp well stop Killing Trees..!

  • Well, this IS a fascist country after all. They made the zero tolerance in the blood thing a law because they KNOW drugs can be found in the blood days or weeks after the effects have worn off. The same thing goes for most Rx drugs, but there is a corporate double standard.

  • Legalize it!!! Ignorance and stupidity are the ONLY reasons it is illegal...

  • yes. it WILL create jobs.

don't forget about the Hemp industry, too.

1000's of start ups, thousands of jobs.

  • @AngusMcSpuds

Yes I agree, Reviving Hemp Industry is the Best "Ignored" solution.. The most Versatile plant in the world.. Why don't we take advantage of this Easily Cultivated Resource..
