I live in a heavily populated region and we drive through the country it does not appear to be unnatural or an environmental catastrophe. It is and it was. I often visit a park with my dogs that appeared natural and unspoiled. It was all cut down and it will be sprayed with herbicide. The area will be replanted with indigenous species.I wonder, do truly know what is indigenous from introduced?The park is surrounded by million dollar condos as far as the eye can see. We are the invasive.
@SlackerSlayer I do not know what was introduced . I can walk through a forest and think of it as unspoiled . I am ignorant on plants .I over heard a master gardener complain about landscaping. The conversation of people redoing their yards with native plants only. He stated that many plants from Asia were here originally before the ice age, I would assume this comes from soil records. The concern is the invasive species.An example would be earth worms. This subject can go on and on.It's only YT

Piece of cake as they say. The record left in the soils show exactly what was there before the introduced plants arrived.
