The fire was the end of LL2 for sure but it didn't have to be they could have preserved it, left him kidnapped instead of recasting him with JY, talented but not right for Lucky and they wrote him as a completely different person but at least they made the transition with a death.

i honestly blame the writers for this....ever since JJ left, they wrote liz into such an unfaithful person....there were different luckys after JJ and the chemistry was not the same after that lucky and liz. so u should be questioning the writing here....i honestly believe if JJ never left, LNL2 would NEVER be this bad....loooking at old clips like this, truly does prove that lucky and liz are soulmates and belong together, case closed.

@Spifftasticdork I am with you there. I was either 12 or 13 when i first saw this. i know that JJ is back, but it isn't the same. the Lucky/Liz romance was my introduction to the world of romance, so when he died (even though he wasn't dead) i cried like a baby.

It is STILL difficult for me to watch this scenes even after all of these years! I cried like a CRAAAAZY woman when I thought Lucky died! I was hysterical!, Beyond, any kind of reason! Man, I felt for everyone here, my girl Liz, Sonny, Taggerty (miss him!!), Luke/Laura, Bobbie, Mac,... Man, this was one of the BEST deaths in soap opera history. Everyone in PC was affected by Lucky's death. I wasn't right for soo long, but it's been awesome having JJ back!

This is was Liz was amazing! She was such a good actress and being so young. She was a few years older than me when I saw this. I still remember me and my sisters bawling or eyes out over thinking lucky was dead. Then after he was lucked up in some room, I held out hope that he would come back. This scenario unfortunately marked the end of GH's last major love story during the 90's between the original Lucky and Elizabeth. It would have been incredible if we could have seen Jonathan Jackson reprise the role for a few more years.

Even though this relationship seemed short, it had so many beautiful moments that were full of intense love and tragedy that created a CLASSIC LOVE STORY!

as much as i love greg vaughn he can't compare to jj, for me this episode is the end of the beginning for lucky and liz no other lucky can compare to jj, jj and rb had the best chemistry and their relationship died when jj left the show. i miss jj if greg leaves the show they should bring jj back to replace him.

Some poor un-named soul bearing a striking resemblence to Lucky, right down to being a DNA and dental match. I remember being surprised that after Lucky was revealed alive that nobody even asked "then who did we bury?"

We hardly ever got to see it since Taggert was always pitted against Sonny or Jason, but Taggert did have a pretty big heart. During his semi-romance with D.A. Dara, we got to see more of his softer side. Then later on after the reveal that Gia was his sister, we got to see his protective big brother side. IMO, Guza came back in 2002-03 and completely wasted a complex character in Taggert. Yet another in a long line of casualties under Guza's watch.
