Well, let us hope you can get it played next year at the Royal Albert Hall. A brilliant comemerative song like this needs to be heard, and what's more, played as part of that ceromony year after year. I know it has been played at many services this year and it would be befitting for the whole nation to hear and get to know it.
Thanks for your comments Chris. We were hoping to have this song performed at The Royal Albert Hall at The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance 2008. It would have been brilliant for the 90th anniversary of Armistice. This is not to be as it's the 100th anniversary of the T.A and I believe this years festival will be marking this instead. Check out Libby Holden - It's Christmas, that could make The Albert Hall before this one!!
It was a hectic day for Libby, starting with a chat at the BBC Essex studios with Ian Wyatt, then she was in the Brentwood remembrance parade with the Royal British Legion Youth Band, then this performance at Ongar with Julian May on guitar and backing vocals. As the composer of this song I would like to say a big thankyou to Libby and Julian, and lyricist Michael Harrington for turning just a piece of music into a gem. Also Tim Thorogood who produced and Anver for posting this video, thanx
