You get degrees four through 32 over the course of a weekend. The Royal Arch has four degrees that require no preparation from the candidate. The Cryptic Council and Templar Commandery give you their degrees in a day.
People make a big deal out of the appendant bodies when they're nothing of the sort. Everyone who petitions gets in.

@bayboss73 I was asked to join the York and Scottish Rites the night I became a Master Mason. Didn't feel like doing so until recently. Incidentally, all you need to join the Shrine these days is to be a Master Mason. That's it.
Back in the day, these degrees may have been a big deal. Today they're not and they haven't been in a long, long time. Whoever says otherwise knows nothing about Masonry. You can literally go from applicant to 32nd/Templar in a handful of months. Just pay the fees.

@bayboss73 Did you know that about the degrees, by the way -- how quick and easy they are to get? In my experience, conspiracy theorists are usually shocked, dismayed, and embarrassed when they learn that advancing up Masonry is so simple. There's nothing to it. FYI, want to become a 33rd? Participate in the degree work of the Scottish Rite for a few years or write a few articles for the Rite's journal. It's not the big deal conspiracy theorists make it out to be.

@bayboss73 Right now I'm a Past Master in the Royal Arch. I'll be a Most Excellent Master on the fourteenth of this Month and a Royal Arch Mason on the twenty-first. The last two degrees, I have been given the honor of being an examplar-- the lead examplar of the Past Master degree -- and I hope to be so honored as I continue to move forward up the York Rite.

@bayboss73 I'm only prosperous in my heart, which is filled with the love of and for my family and my personal views on tolerance, peace, et cetera, which have been reinforced by my involvement in Masonry. In all other respects, I am poor -- a struggling novelist with low funds, and Masonry won't change that.

lol. So, omg, I went to the store and I saw about 6 pyramids. Then I went home and saw 9/11 on my experiation of my ceral, then I saw symbols in my pictures. And when I was praying, I kept accidentally saying demon instead of Jesus. Also, I was scared to go to sleep. NEVER had this happened to me before.
