They have that many people in the audience and nobody laughs, ever? The Daily Show and The Colbert Report's audiences are never quiet long enough to even hear a joke. But at least they laugh when they're supposed to. She was funny, and she's a lot like one of my favorite teachers I had in high school. What's the point of having an audience if they don't participate? Just have an empty studio set or one with a lively audience.
