Over the course of the past 50 years since, a whole bunch of government social programs were created. Whatever government get their hands in, it seems to make the situation worse. Education, health care, housing etc. Our God given liberties are eroding away day by day and one day we'll wake up how this happened because it happened over the course of years. From administration to another. Unless politicians are our neighbors we do not have a chance to revive the market or the Constitution.

When will people get it through their heads?

Government CANNOT create wealth, it transfers it through taxes and CONSUMES it. The reason is because government does not invest in the wealth they received order to create more of it.

The only thing government does(well THIS government) is increase the money supply and distort the market.

It cannot get people out of debts of jams.

Germans went for socialism after hyper inflation. You'll hear lots and lots about market failures, and not one peep on government failures. You're seriously delusions if you think people will vote for less government.

There is that chance that America will reclaim some of it's important traditional values if the leadership is present. The current American brand or Welfare state (socialism) is leading to the country toward destruction via our fiscal policy. We could go to the extreme left or extreme right. In my part of the country, it will tend to go to the right.

There is the traditional in the rural areas, and non traditional cultures in the big cities.

Some of this stuff is correct. All government assistance currently given to assist people in purchasing homes has the unintended effect of increasing the cost of housing. For example, allowing homeowners to deduct mortgage interest payments long ago got capitalized into higher purchase prices. In straight talk this means that because buyers knew they could get a rebate they were willing to pay more and sellers knew they could charge more. This is the way the market reacts to all such schemes
