I own the original nintendogs, and I thought it was the best game invented! I loved it so much and still do. There were obviously some points where I stopped playing but I would always eventually come back. Now that this game is out I am getting a 3DS as well as the game and I know that since I love watching videos of nintendogs + cats and adore the little puppies I will enjoy this game just as much!
I don't know if anybody notices, but in almost every Nintendogs + Cats review I've watched, they always say something like: why can't the cats go on walks, or enter competitions? Well, reality is that cats in real life don't enter competitions, or go on walks, so, it kind of makes sense that they don't do these things in a pet simulator.
I finally got a 3ds in april. it was my early birthday present i bought myself and I bought nintendogs + cats french bull dog version with it, a nintendo aqua blue starter kit even though my 3ds is cosmo black I like having a different color accessory kit my friends like having all matching but its no fun that way. I also got nintendogs + cats golden retriever and toy poodle version for my birthday on April 26th. I play french bulldog version more but i love the games i have original ones too!
Great review-I have the french dog edition and I am throughly enjoying it , like you I wish the cats could do more, also I am still waiting to find a secret path-did you know you can also get a robodog too-I dont have him either yet. It is also such a shame it doesn't have wifi compatibleability, only the streetpass feature. SO looking forward to the update today. Take care. xx
High quality looking, unlike most pet simulators I've seen, especially on the DS. The dogs look so lifelike. Would love to see a Boston Terrier. Maybe they'll make an expanded edition later with some Bostons. Fun vid.
It is called +cats, so it's sort of in the name that the cats are an add-on. I think Nintendo did the cats very well. I own both a dog and a cat in real life, and in real life I do A lot more with my dog than with my cat.
I like this game and I'm 19. I'm not a "gamer" so SIM games are what I enjoy to play :)
It is sad that you can't play competitions with the Cat's, but I can't see a good competition a Cat could do, I mean it will be stuff like, The longest nap competition or how cute does your cat look when you dangle a piece of string over it's head. or maybe how many birds you can stalk and kill in a given time limit competition. I think the latter will make kids cry. =( but =D

I got bored with the DS one pretty quick, but it was original and good fun initially, aside from my Brother and Dad taking the piss out of me for talking to the DS.
Looks like nothing has changed dramatically with the winning yet slightly repetitive formula lol! The original Nintendogs was my absolute favourite game on the DS, probably because I was 11 years old and loved puppies to no end XD. Great vid, Holly!

Hey cool, I received the Tamagotchi GB game in a recent trade that I actually posted a few minutes ago. I also have this particular 3DS game but Ashleigh took it over as soon as I turned it on. No surprise there.
I used to love tamagachi because i could beat the animals to death and starve them. It's a good thing i actually love animals in real life. Lol. Is the 3DS getting any support now? I hear very little about it.
