  • LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • LOL

  • Doctor, I would like to appaud you on a job well done in explaining this system. However, I would like you to verify the name of the "blood pressure monitoring device" that you mentioned. I turned to my medical dictionary and google to find any additional info on the name you gave, but nothing came up in my search. I then found the name "juxtaglomerular cells" as another name for the group of cells. I rechecked your spelling and the name "Polkissen" turned up instead. Can you please verify this?

  • good job doc

  • Thank you... Come again

  • I'm sorry lecture on shock

  • I wish he did a presentation on shock

  • Dr. Najeeb,

I am sorry but Polkissen cells are completely different, small cells located in the extraglomerular mesangium and their function is UNKNOWN ! Renin producing cells are JG cells only !

  • Oh my gosh! Now, I have better understanding with RAAS! Thank you, Doc!

  • excellent...TNX a lot Dr. Najeeb...

you're an amazing lecturer....really learn a lot...i will subscribe to your channel..

im a nursing student as my pre- course for medicine....

  • thank you so much sir for giving me hope.

  • Very good! it helped a lot! thanks!

  • hey! dr najeeb, you are very good! can I ask a question? You said, that renin is produced by polkissen cells located in the afferent arterioles of nephrons, but I read that renin is secreted by juxtaglomerular cells. Are we talking about the same cells? Thank you for your time!

  • Do you have any institute or workplace..because i am sure there many who would like to be personally tutored by you in a group...and i see you are even teaching few in your video..where are u located..what country and city?

  • @nalacutie

    Thank you for your appreciation.

  • @nalacutie ha! I'm always saying to myself, "if I had a pound for every nephron I have..."

  • Well spoken, but H2O is osmotically removed from the descending tubule and Ca+ and Na+ are actively transported in the ascending tubule to increase the filtrate concentration.

  • Fantastic and elucidating teaching. Thanks!!

  • @Dbrazz88 I am glad you liked it :)

Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos :)

  • doctor i'd like to see a video explaining the molecular physology and hystology of the renal absorbtion, filtration and for the juxtaglomerular cells and the ones from macula densa. Explain the action of the Na, Cl, receptors and the action of Renin on the afferent and efferent arteries. I would apreciate really much, Thank You very much.

  • It's a pleasure to see him teach!

  • Thank you Doctor!

  • Absolutely marvellous way to explain things, i would be happy if they teach like that in my Univ. Can't thank you for straightening facts in my Brain. Will b lucky if you listen me and put some vidoes related to heart functioning, the drugs and Heart failure.

    Thanks..

  • Hello Doctor Najeeb!

I read in my physio and histo that blood pressure measurement and subsequent release of renin is from the Juxtamedullary complex at the junction of Bowman's capsule and distal convulted tubule.. are the pokison cell refer to the same cell cluster or is there some difference?

    Thank you very much,

    Hasan Iftikhar

  • dats too gud sir...i was too glad 2 see ur video...beautifully explained....one of the finest lecture ever....

  • Thank you - your instruction is wonderfully clear. Your drawings and examples along with your explanations - very clear and helpful.

--thank you for your time and energy!

  • thank you... very VERY useful. It helped me to understand the basics in body... It kind of build the foundations for understanding the physiology... And what's best that you draw on board. That's the way I love to learn...

  • amazing way to explain too good !!!

    cant thanku enough

  • @NTSA87

    Thank you for your appreciation.

  • @NTSA87

  • Amazing!

  • @lauralitster Thank u

  • Dear DoctorNajeeb

Thank you very much for these videos.

Can you also make it possible to download these videos in an appropriate format for mobile devices? I would greatly enjoy watching your lessons on-the-go on my iPod.

  • Dr Najeeb, has done a great job simplifying things. As a lecturer I have personally benefited and have recommended this link to my students as a supplementary weblink for their learning. Thank you so much Dr Najeeb for sharing your knowledge with the world. God bless you

  • Best teacher ever!!!

  • But what about the role of Juxta glomelular apparatus and the macula densa in sensing the decrease of blood pressure and then sending signals to the juxtaglomelular cells inorder,to secrete renin doesn't it happen like that or the baroreceptor is right I am a bit confused.

  • Watching the second part and the rest of the parts cleared my doubt.

  • Thank you so much for the clear explanation and good video

  • I would like to thank you for posting this video! I wish I could have learned all of A&P from you! You have helped my grade and I can't thank you enough!

  • hahahaha ! Dr.Najeeb, you've done a great job ! i am in oncology for 6 years and totally forgotten abt this processes i learnt during my studies, on a case now required me to go to basics and i searched for this in utube and found ur vid ! thanx so much !

  • Hi DoctorNajeeb,

Just want to say your videos helped me greatly for the science class I'm taking. Thank you for your efforts.

    -Dangchama

  • Best of Luck.

  • The more i study and learn of the body the more i am amazed that people can still hold to the belief that all this happened by blind chance.

  • @gweems828 It truly is amazing, though evolution via natural selection can hardly be called "blind chance."

  • @gweems828 Not quite. First, its actually a gradual process that takes millions of years whereby extremely small changes occur over long periods of time and therefore we didn't just emerge accidentally - it was a slow and gradual process. Second, there is SUBSTANTIAL evidence in favour of evolution that neither religion nor any other faith-based belief system lacks. Finally, 93% of elite scientists (i.e. people DISCOVERING the stuff in this vid) reject a belief in a deity or claim to Agonistic.

  • 3:51 my favorite part :)

  • Thank you so much for your wonderful explanation. It is obvious that you enjoy your work and care if your students understand the material. I agree- the world needs more professors like you! (come to my university!) Thanks again :)

  • DR. we have great respect for you thank you....your the best and DR. and teacher ever...clear and god bless you...vidio recorder is exellent too...tenx a million

  • Thank you so much for your appreciation

  • Thank you so much! I am a paramedic student and this didn't make any sense until I watched this video. Now I completely understand it!

  • I love your videos! I am in Adult health nursing and I have a test on Monday and lets just say I was really freaking out over this stuff before I watched this video and now I am like "that's all there is to it?!?" Thank you so much for helping me understand this system!!!!!

  • his teaching is perfect and when you add his drawing to it he makes an excellent teacher

  • @beninay

    Thank you :D

  • Dr. Najeeb your lectures are incredible! Your videos on Renin Angiotensin Aldosterone have helped me greatly to understand these concepts. We need you to teach our lectures in Pharmacy School. Thanks.

  • Background in the UK. The world needs more teachers like Dr. Najeeb.

  • i Like your Video Dr. Najeeb. Keep on!

  • Dr Najeeb is awesome, I wish my lecturers were this cool.

  • Dr. Najeeb, Two Thumbs Up!!!

  • Thankyou for this fantastic presentation. Your clear teaching helps me an awful lot!

  • I'm not a student of yours I just typed in Renin-Angiotensin system and your wonderful videos came up :)

  • I love his teaching!

  • Thanks, Doctor Najeeb

I'm a big visual learner and this helps me a lot!
