Doctor, I would like to appaud you on a job well done in explaining this system. However, I would like you to verify the name of the "blood pressure monitoring device" that you mentioned. I turned to my medical dictionary and google to find any additional info on the name you gave, but nothing came up in my search. I then found the name "juxtaglomerular cells" as another name for the group of cells. I rechecked your spelling and the name "Polkissen" turned up instead. Can you please verify this?
I wish you were my teacher -___- ...& I wish I would have thought of looking up these videos from the beginning of my A&P II course, now I'm almost finished :(
If ever I pass our board exams, that is because of Dr. Najeeb's lectures, not my Professors at our school. Thank you so much Dr. Najeeb for sharing us your knowledge :)
If my teachers could have a 2% of your teaching skills..... Thanks a lot for uploading material like this sir. Keep it up you are a great human being!
I am sorry but Polkissen cells are completely different, small cells located in the extraglomerular mesangium and their function is UNKNOWN ! Renin producing cells are JG cells only !
i wish my teachers explained on such an easier level... seriously the rate and the level theyre at is so much higher they forget that we dont know anything.. and dr najeeb explains that like were five year olds which is what every med student needs :)
hey! dr najeeb, you are very good! can I ask a question? You said, that renin is produced by polkissen cells located in the afferent arterioles of nephrons, but I read that renin is secreted by juxtaglomerular cells. Are we talking about the same cells? Thank you for your time!
Do you have any institute or workplace..because i am sure there many who would like to be personally tutored by you in a group...and i see you are even teaching few in your video..where are u located..what country and city?
and a very good video indeed, helped me with several concepts...

Dr. Najeeb your lectures are incredible! Your videos on Renin Angiotensin Aldosterone have helped me greatly to understand these concepts. We need you to teach our lectures in Pharmacy School. Thanks.
