  • Isn't maintaining the salinity of saltwater really a pain though?

    (Marine fish keeper here)

Is it ok to use old water from my fish tank instead of the specially made salt you sell?

Can I use the same filter dome thing I use for my dwarf shrimps?

  • can i order those little ones instead of the moon jellys if that is possible. i am maybe thinking about getting a jellyfish tank if you had the same ones as in this video

  • @ShoopDaWhoop6

Hello, we only sell Moon Jellyfish because they are the hardiest species of jellyfish.

  • @JellyfishArtDotCom

dont moon jellyfish get 12 inches plus??

  • @JellyfishArtDotCom are you ever going to sell these kind again?? i really want one

  • @Ivan1993N No, we will not.

  • @JellyfishArtDotCom How long do jellyfishes live?

I heard they live super long

  • I went to the site because I was interested in buying this beautiful setup, only to find it wasn't offered anywhere? Just a new tank shaped like a tube, and a different species of jellyfish. Yes perhaps they're easier, but I was specifically interested in the spere tank, and these lovely little jellies, regardless of extra effort. I think it's all well and good to create new products, but why remove the old ones?

    I'm very disappointed.

  • @ToTeff Hi Jeff,

We can make a spherical tank specifically for you if you are still interested. Please send me an email and I will provide you with all the details.

    Regards,

    Cameron

    cam [at] jellyfishart [dot] com

  • @JellyfishArtDotCom Thanks for the reply Cameron. At this time I'm not able to follow up on this interest as much as I'd like, but it's nice to know for the future that the option to have one made is available. Thank you :)

  • @JellyfishArtDotCom hi i would be interested in the same thing as jeff u can email me at h20nolan@aol.com

  • @ToTeff look up bio orb these tanks are widely available in all sizes on the web

  • @ToTeff

Isn't the tank above just a biorb tank?

  • Do you have a uk distributor ??

  • @vinnythedon Yes. For details please visit JellyfishArt [dot] com and go to the "Learn More" "How To/FAQ" section. You will find the information on our International Shipping page.

  • @oti151

  • I need this song in my itunes.

  • cool...what song is playing? its so relaxing

  • @versatylechild93 The song was made specifically for this video.

  • Comment removed

  • why did you stop selling blue blubber jellyfish i like them way better

  • @xSceneKidRavenx Moon jellies are better suited to captivity and more popular with our customers.

  • Comment removed

  • i think these are beautiful, but the damn pop up covers all of it!!

  • is it true that having jellies in a flat sided aquarium can kill it because of the blunt force of the edge

  • @Map10193808 Jellyfish require a special tank with water flow designed specifically for jellyfish.

  • @TheChocolateCrunchy You can buy them on our website at Jellyfish Art [dot] com. Just google Jellyfish Tank and you will find us. They are as easy to take care of as a regular aquarium fish.

  • how long do the jelies live on average and, what are the chances of pylops growing and not being canibalized?

  • @minipancho94 They live a year on average. If you have male and female adults in your tank, you will probably get polyps within a month, but you need a special tank to get the polyps to produce ephyrae. Adult jellies do not eat polyps. You can read more on our website at jellyfishart [dot] com.

  • @JellyfishArtDotCom

Do the jellies swim constantly or do they sleep at night? and what do you feed them?

  • @rddaos The jellies swim constantly. They have no central nervous system so no need to sleep. We provide a frozen plankton food made specifically for jellyfish.

  • @rddaos The jellies swim constantly. They have no central nervous system so no need to sleep. We provide a frozen plankton food made specifically for jellyfish.

  • Do you ship to Europe?

I think Jellies are more interesting than fish and other sellers who are shipping to Europe are too expensive for example they take 800$ for the moon jellyfish!

  • @MerkelMaster Only in bulk. There are heavy fees associated with shipping across international borders. See our website for more information.

  • i want some!

  • are those real?

  • @erick36594 Yes they are real live jellyfish.

  • OH THEY ARE SO CUTE!

  • i checked out your site and am intrested but i am wondering what special features does this tank have for jellyfish only (ex. what caueses the currents ect.0

  • @ilovemodds The tank is designed so that the waterflow keeps jellyfish suspended in the middle of the tank away from filtration intakes. Most of the filtration is standard aquarium equipment that will work on any aquarium fish.

  • are these specimens still alive this year?

  • @joelcalvert Don't know, we sold them a long time ago. Also, now we offer Moon Jellies instead of the Blue Jellyfish shown in this video.

  • How long do these Blue Jelly fish in there last?

  • @0YtsanBlowout0 They can live several years in captivity. We now offer Moon Jellyfish for the Desktop Tank instead of Blue Jellies.

  • @alex12345196 I've heard this species last only sixty days! Wow you take good care of your jellies.

  • So do you poor a small bucket of sea plankton in or what? Or do they filter feed the water?

  • @0YtsanBlowout0 You squirt the defrosted plankton food at their tentacles to get the jellies to eat the food. We have an instructional video called How to Feed Pet Jellyfish on YouTube.

  • what do you feed these ??

  • @gobblededo We sell a frozen plankton food made specifically for jellyfish on our website at Jellyfish Art [dot] com.

  • Do they live long?

  • @Crowntailluvr Yes average lifespan is over a year in captivity.

  • The jellyfish doesn't look the same as these.... I already had your website bookmarked.

  • @spineosaur The jellyfish we now offer with the Desktop Tank are Moon Jellies. Their soothing swimming rhythm is much more popular with customers and they adapt to captivity much better.

  • Is there anyway to get the light to change color??

  • @bdd549 In fact, we will be offering a programmable color-changing LED as an option on the desktop tank very soon. Follow Jellyfish Art on Facebook or email to receive new product updates like this.

  • @JellyfishArtDotCom thanks=] do you know how long the little jellyfish will live usually?

  • @bdd549 Average lifespan is about a year in captivity, but they can certainly live longer than that if you take good care of them.

  • cool! What sp.are they? Wanting one!

  • @spineosaur These are Moon Jellyfish (Aurelia aurita)

  • @JellyfishArtDotCom OK, where do you get them? Online?

  • @spineosaur Yes, you can buy the tank, live jellyfish, food, and other accessories from our website at JellyfishArt [dot] com. The jellyfish ship through the mail via Overnight delivery without a hitch.

  • @JellyfishArtDotCom OK, I'm going to get some. BTW, are there any that are able to be put in a refugium? And what about hexagonal tanks?

  • @spineosaur No you cannot put jellyfish in a refugium. Jellyfish require special tanks with water flow designed to keep them suspended in the middle of the tank safe from filtration intakes. Nobody has ever documented successfully keeping jellyfish in a hexagonal tank.

  • What do you feed them?

  • @175myles We have a special jellyfish food made from frozen plankton available on our website at JellyfishArt [dot] com

  • Unbelievably cuuuuuuute! They almost seem to be playing!

  • Alright,

I will order a cylndier kit in july, for my b-day, is it the same price? Are there any more jellies that will fiy in that aquarium that swim the same way?

  • Yes, the cylindrical desktop tank is the same price. The only species currently available for that tank are the two-inch moon jellies.

  • Is there anyway I could get a cylinder desktop kit? Also do you guys still sell the blue jellies, if not can I special order them or get another kind of jellie that have that same swim pattern... I dont really like the way the whit ones move

    Sincerely, Nathan

  • Yes, we are not officially offering the cylindrical desktop tank for another few weeks but we have them in stock so you can contact us email to order them. We no longer sell blue jellies because they are too difficult to maintain.

  • does the blue jellyfish sting

  • No, they do not sting

  • even if u dont like pets u should get a jellyfish and a tank like this

just put in front of your bed and also breed crickets, best way to get anyone to sleep, watch the jellyfishes in a tank with a light and hear to the crickets singing

    =D

  • If you buy the Monaco would you be able to introduce other fish?

  • Abalone and jellyfish are able to live together in a tank. We are experimenting with other species and will post the results on our website.

  • Thanks for your quick and informative responses regarding your tanks and jellies. I will keep a look-out for the desktop tank and the color changing LED option on your website in the coming weeks. Keep up the great work! You've certainly sparked my interest, and likely gained a new customer. Thanks again.

  • 1:16 up, up, up and awayyy!

  • I'm interested in your 40 gallon tank, but having never worked with jellies before, would you recommend trying the desktop first as a starter tank to get a better feel for how the whole jellyfish process works on a smaller, more manageable scale (acclimating them, feeding them etc)? Also, is the desktop tank now modified to better accommodate moon jellies, as I understand bubbles can be a real problem for them? It appears that the bubbles in this tank flow freely at the top.

  • Yes, that might be a good idea to start small with the Desktop Tank. Yes, the current Desktop Tank model has a modified bubble tube so jellies are not exposed to bubbles, which can be harmful if they get trapped inside the jellyfish. This video is of our older model. We will have the new product videos up within a few weeks.

  • cant u just keep them in any tank

  • No, jellyfish require a special tank. The water flow is carefully designed to keep the jellies suspended in the middle of the tank.

  • First of all, your website is excellent overall and very informative. Congrats on making this possible for everyone to enjoy at a very reasonable price you are a true entrepreneur! Can the moon jellies live solely on your frozen food mixture, or do they need any additional supplements (ex. brine shrimp)? Also, could colored transparancies (or glass) be used to alter the lighting in the desktop tank (to make it more ambient), or does the xenon/halogen light burn too hot? Thanks.

  • Yes, the moon jellies can survive solely on our frozen jellyfish food. Yes, you can use colored transparencies. We have been experimenting with color-changing LEDs, which look really cool on the Desktop Tank. You will be able to buy them as an option on the Desktop Tank in a few weeks.

  • is this great for apartments

  • wow man and two small questions 1. is this a family business because u r so nice to everyone

    2. Do u think i am commenting to much, I'm just so interested

  • if there is a discount then how big is it usually

  • i agree with poptoping>> maybe a pattys day discount?? lol

  • You can join our email list to be notified of promotional discounts, although we don't have any coming up soon.

  • the reason my name is poptoping is because I was thinkin about toppings and my little bro was reading the popcorn bag POP POP STOP so .......

  • can You guys PLEASE PLEASER PLEASEST

    lower your prices?

if so than 2 how much

  • Why dear God! Oh why don't you guys ship to Brazil!

Jesus I'm very disappointed and frustrated!

    WHY?

    please answer me!

    thanks!

    btw that setup is awesome!

  • There are a lot of fees associated with shipping live animals across international borders. We do ship internationally, but only on jellyfish orders of $500 or more.

  • hey, can you tell me what song this is ?

    it's beautiful.

  • Unfortunately the song is not commercially available. We had it made for this video.

  • how big do those 1s get?

  • cute lil jellies

  • what do u feed it

  • Special frozen jellyfish food available at JellyfishArt [dot] com.

  • do these jellyfish ever grow to big for the tank?

  • No, you can limit their growth by only feeding them a small amount, so as long as you don't feed them too much, they won't outgrow the tank.

  • how long can they live?

  • Jellies can live several years in captivity.

  • is this considered inhumane?

  • The jellyfish are able to survive perfectly well in the tank. They have no central nervous system, so they are not "aware" of their surroundings in the traditional sense.

  • the music is nice ....so calm

  • like what?

  • Certain animals do not do well in captivity. There are no specific reasons but one can clearly observe they are less healthy and have a lower survival rate in captivity. This is true of the Blue Jellyfish.

  • how are the blue jellies harder to maintain?

  • They are inherently more difficult to keep in captivity for a variety of reasons.

  • do the moon jellies sting?

  • No.

  • what kind of jellies are those blue ones? and if you dont squirt it under the jellies will they still be hungry if it doesn't all get eaten?

  • They are called Blue Jellies. They just don't feed as efficiently if you don't squirt food directly at them. You can find the answers to most of your questions on our website at JellyfishArt [dot] com.

  • And do you have to squirt the food at them like it says in your video on how to feed them or can you just put the food in the bowl?

  • You can just put food in the bowl but most of it will not get eaten by the jellyfish. The most efficient way to feed them is to squirt it directly at their undersides.

  • what if the jellies get bubbles under there bell will it hurt them? as i see the bubble tube dosent go to the top of the bowl.

  • We design the tank so jellies cannot get bubbles underneath them. The bubble tube in the video is an old version we have since upgraded.

  • if you have 3 jellies do you give them each a pea sized amount of food or all together?

  • 3 Desktop Tank jellies get one pea-sized chunk of food together per day. 1 Frozen Food packet should last about 30 days.

  • also are the prices on your websight in USD or CD or what, what curency do you use on your websight?

  • All prices on our website are in US Dollars.

  • on your websight in the picture of the bowl like this there are blue jellies is that just the lighting or are they actualy blue and if they are blue what kind is that?

  • Those jellyfish are actually blue, but we no longer carry them in stock. Now we offer Moon Jellyfish because they are easier to maintain and have a more attractive swimming behavior.

  • do you ship to any other countries...Canada to be specific also how hard are the jellies to maintain and can you buy there food anywhere not online like animal world or pet smart or something?

  • We ship jellies internationally for large orders, including Canada. Jellyfish are as easy to maintain as a regular salt water aquarium. Jellyfish Art is the only company to offer a frozen food for jellyfish, available on our website.

  • We ship internationally, but only for large orders. Jellyfish are as easy to maintain as a regular salt water fish. Jellyfish Art is the only company to offer a frozen food for jellyfish.

  • This is great! What do you feed the jelly fish on? I have a marine nbio orb pretty busy with Jade file fish fire shrimp dancing shrimp and a Clown fish.

  • We offer a Frozen Jellyfish Food available on our website. We also offer a kit to convert your biorb into a jellyfish tank, however you cannot keep fish and jellyfish in the same tank.

  • how much does everything cost

  • $249 for the Desktop Tank and Starter Kit, which includes everything you need to get the tank up and running. Jellyfish are $39 apiece.

  • no mean to be rude or anything but, why are the jellies so... well.. expensive

    no offence

  • Just trying to have good customer service. Expensive compared to what?

  • expensive compared to the other jellies because blue jellies are smaller and are the same price

  • I want one. First I have to clean my desk. Then I'll get one. Any reason I can't just go scoop up some baby Moon Jellies out of the Atlantic and put them in this tank?
