  • I was born hard of hearing, became a musician, suddenly became 75% deaf about 2 years ago... It's very hard to continue socializing with hearing people and to even play my own music... Recently I got a cochlear implant and now I play the blues... It's all instrumental but please check it out

I'm on Soundcloud and I'm called "Deaf Man Blues"

  • i'm a deaf singer- songwriter/musician and Sean has given me hope maybe i have a chance to make it

    god bless you Sean

  • on a deaf specific dating site

Deafornot dot c om, it requires members to disclose their condition upfront

  • Keep it up Sean! All my life, I've been almost deaf and play music. I lip-read, hear bass notes with my hearing aids and feel the beat:) It's really great what you're doing.

  • Amazing.... I hope to hear more about this man.

  • What an inspiring young man!

  • Who decided to put caps on the subtitles?...

  • hey some deaf people watch this.like me..i wouldnt understand what they were saying if that wasnt on here

  • Evelyn Glennie - another deaf, though not Deaf musician

  • I m telling u Sean.. u are wonderful goal what u really be music with SIGNS help us feeling good and vibrates bond to sound.. u are so beauifully music.. KEEP GOING SING.. i love it.. give me your signture.. plzzz. LOL.. Bless your heart...

  • well i wasnt aware of the "ominous" music....for deaf or hard of hearing you probably shouldn't point that out.....we only look at the signs and read captions...

  • i didn't know he started D-PAN!!

  • The only thing I don't like is how they play "ominous" music when they review Sean's childhood hearing loss. That is my only gripe, because it basically puts across that message that deafness is sad or even "tragic" and if there's anything we know about Sean's story, there's nothing "tragic" or sad about him.

  • I totally disagree. I believe the music doesn't set a tone of sad or "tragic". The music makes me think of the moment of when it happened, not his entire life story. His story is incredible and inspiring, but at that moment there was probably a lot of mixed feelings for Sean and his family, so I'm not sure how that would send sad or "tragic" message about hearing loss.

  • this is first positive signs I have seen on the web. fabulous

We dont have to shout :)
