  • @Cult1022 ok because i understood the German Kamikaze ^^

its not a easy for a non native speaker to understand this accent.

  • niggers need guns

  • the way the man breaths is really making me want to smash his face in

  • You DO NOT want to be shot by one of those.

  • 0:53 German Kamikaze or Japan Kamikaze? Fail?

  • @DarkThunder2202 "determined" does not mean "German"... fail from your side :(

  • i wish they would just shoot it.

  • Swedish Power.

  • @freedetheman LOL :D

  • @Travmapunk Bofors Guns. Swedish made. Fuck yea

  • @freedetheman

gotta love that swedish neutrality lol.

  • @Babypunterlul Fuck yeah!

  • @freedetheman yes, it was a Dutch version of a Bofors gun made in licence. The weapon system/ballistic equipment was Dutch made from a firm in Venlo. The Dutch bring the first succesful prototyp's to Britan in the early day's of WW 2. After the WW 2 Britan and the U.S paid the Swedisch and the Dutch for the blue print.

  • I've been on the casin young

  • i wish i had a voice like butter.

  • the voice of Don LaFontaine

  • don't get to see the gun shootin' ? dislike

  • not always against the GERMAN kamikaze ??????????? hell, kamikaze belongs to japan god damnit

  • if this hit you, all that would be left would be the stumps of your legs

  • This video inspired me to get on MW2 and attemp to take out an enemy helicopter with my M9.

  • Are they gonna shoot.

  • the voice change is of a different voice actor reading someones diary or from someone elses perspective

  • I recognise the narrator's voice!!!!!!! He voices people in Fallout 3!!!

  • Actually, as the Russians closed in on Berlin, some German volunteered to go on a mission to ram their planes, mostly medium bombers like Ju-88s, into bridges that the Russians were using to cross the Oder, it was only like 15 pilots, and 1-2 actually hit.

  • where these used with VT fuzes ?

  • @poenschepper probably

  • @poenschepper

Nope. The smallest shell they could fit a VT fuse into and still retain a useful payload at the time was the 3In.

  • If only we had this weapon during the battle of Coral Sea and Midway then we might, MIGHT, have had a couple extra carriers to work with during Guadalcanal.

  • lol, I was on the Cassin Young in September.

  • I want one...

  • what a lie. german weren't kamekazi bombers. the japan were.

  • @Janiiboy14 actually the german fighters flew their planes into the B17 bombers and bomber formations in the hopes of sawing the planes in half. its true look it up.

  • @Janiiboy14 It isn't well known but during the last days of the war, in desperation the Germans did launch a couple ramming missions against our bombers. Only a couple managed to pull it off and survive and it had no impact on the outcome of the war.

  • @Janiiboy14 Leonidas Squadron(Fi-103 Reichenberg, a manned version of the German V-1 cruise missile) part of KG 200 ( but never used in action)and later JG 300 with ordinary Me-109 and Fw-190 fighters to ram US bombers during daytime bombing.

  • A war is won and lost in the last minutes remaining. So is a football and basketball challenges.

  • Hanks did that to show and prove to his men NOT to give up! Although .45 cal did nothing to the tank, it did do a whole lot to his men when they saw him firing his .45 cal at the tank. That act encouraged his men to use whatever they have left to thwart that attack and don't stop fighting. To push on and on and don't give up!!!!

  • SAM missles are slowly replaceing AA guns

  • @dineablade slowly? most modern warships dont even have human operated AA guns.... they use SAM missiles and computer operated miniguns for close defence...

  • @101andrewj dude i ment like over the years god

  • @101andrewj what the hell else where they gonna use to take out planes?

  • The narrator sound like he´s drowning!!!

  • ive sat in that gun

  • yea right

  • no joke i took a tour of the ship and the let us sit in the gun and move it around ive got pics

  • gotta love those bofors 40mm

  • That would be so epic if he hit the plane with his .45

  • @RADIOACTIVEBUNY It would be almost like one of the last scenes from Saving Private Ryan, when Tom Hanks fires against the tank :)

  • @RADIOACTIVEBUNY it was epic enough when Tom Hanks pulled out his .45 and sort of destroyed the Tiger Tank in Saving Private Ryan....

  • @RADIOACTIVEBUNY reminds me of flight of the intruder ...

  • @RADIOACTIVEBUNY

Or atleast the pilot. That's not completely impossible. And then he qould scream with a loud "quake"-voice "HEADSHOT!" :D

  • @RADIOACTIVEBUNY and if I didnt hit it with the .45, I'd throw my shoe screaming, "DAMN ZEROS"

  • @RADIOACTIVEBUNY If he did, now we know who Chuck Norris' grand uncle is!

  • @RADIOACTIVEBUNY in world war 1 pilots got air to air kills on other pilots a few times with the .45

  • @101andrewj Yeah, but theres far less relative motion between them, you know? Its still damned impressive when theres like 20mph between the two of you, and youre both in planes, but when a Zero is screaming by at 350mph and you are on the ground, thats a hell of a lot different, lol.

  • kamikaze is a japanese term specific to japanses suicidepilots

  • Kamikaze means "Divine Wind"

  • u fuck head kamikaze is japanes not german get your facts fight fuck face

  • @cuppy121 Never heard of the RammKommando Elbe have you.

  • what the fuck is a rammkommando elbe

  • @cuppy121 A GERMAN luftwaffe section in the later days of the war in which they RAMMED bombers. Google.

  • yeah fucking bombers not battle ships

  • @cuppy121 kamikaze wasnt restricted to ships.

  • @cuppy121 If your talking about the guy in the vid; he said "determined", not german :-)

  • @cuppy121 perhaps u should listen a bit better dude

  • just emagen a 40mm gatling gun against tanks whoud that be efective

  • Barrels are too heavy to accelerate fast enough to offer the intended rate of fire in a reasonable time. Perhaps a 3-barrelled version would work at some 500 rpm or little more...

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990

    learn how to spell retard

  • kan jij dan goed nederlands

    ik denk het niet

  • "largest machinegun during WWII" ??

If you count them as machineguns, they are probably the biggest MG´s ever. =)

  • Too bad the carriers didn't have mini guns when the kamikazes were attacking. Wouldn't that been fun to see their eyes...wooooohooo

  • did his say 'german' kamakazi??

there where only japanise kamakazi pilots who flew into american ships...

  • he said determant or determing

  • Nope, I hear "...against determined kamikaze or suicide pilots..."

  • aha ok thangs

englisch is not my mother tongue so i make a littel mix up...

  • I believe he said "Determined" Kamikaze".

  • @slevinkalevra2008

    i heard "Determined kamakazi"...

  • he said :-), you are right!!!!

  • Determined kamikaze.. where'd you get german from!?

  • there were german kamikazes in europe.

their job was to hit americam bombers and stall bombing ops. until their Me-262 jet fighter could come into full production

  • Even the yanks use the British sight.

    RULE BRITANNIA

  • Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

  • i wanna see its ammo

  • I need one for my backyard for squirrels :P

  • lol

  • lawlz itz lak BLAMZ BLAMZ and teh squirerel bloez up!

  • i need one for my truck.

in case someone cuts me off.

  • I like the opening about AA fire not being effective against Jets and Missiles - WRONG ! we learned just how dumb those words are in the Falklands campaign. FLAK is both moral boosting for the crew and lowing for pilots. Also it has downed some very high tech stuff in more recent years.

  • You're right, I think that flak is like thick spider web on the sky that scare the hell out of any pilot who has to fly through them. But I think that with jet and missle, they fly too fast and high for the gun crew to even track the target

  • muahahahahah voice change is awesome

  • howd he change his voice like that.

  • if you cut someone's balls off... it sounds like this xD

  • The voice change is supposed to be a WW2 guy talking.

  • lol it is funny when the guy changed his voice.

  • @SniperPIKACHU My friend does it all the time. Whether he is talking in a normal conversation, answering a question in school, or anything, he just switches between like 6 or 7 different voices/accents randomly. I asked him if he had split personality disorder, and he said "No, we don't." :\

    I worry about him, lol.

  • WTF IS THIS VOICE??!?!?!

    Sounds like WTF!!

  • Hahah, very funny story about the pistol.

  • its actually quite sad

  • I served in USS. Sphinx ARL-24 Jan.85-Jul.86...I believe that was the LAST active US NAVY ship to mount 40mm guns! Ours were 4 barrel mounts for and aft...our main guns! I was the asistant gunner on the aft mount for GQ (General Quarters)...was a trip firing those guns!!!!

USS. Sphinx was decomissioned for last time in 1989. My first ship of 20 yr. Naval career...wasnt modern, pretty or fast but she got us home when all was said n done!

  • Thanks for your contributions to this country Gunny

  • Hahaha, you sound so excited about this

  • for what its worth, these 40 mm bofors guns were manufactured in Chrysler auto plants during ww2. Who is going to make the new guns if we ever need them?

  • @gqjohnny,

bmw, toyota, honda. They all have factories based in US, manned by US workers...

  • Probably bofors still.

Or just fuck NATO the right way and have Britain give us theirs.

But knowing the US, we'll never use them again.

    Stupid assed "Missile only" policy.

  • us ships vs. german suicide planes during world war II. just on tv :-)

    and: i´m from norway

  • germans had no suicide airplanes :) only japanese !!

  • You're wrong. Towards the end of the war, German pilots starting ramming bombers.

  • where can you see bombers in this videoclip? or do you think, they installed this guns on bombers

  • "germans had no suicide airplanes :) only japanese !! "

I was saying you're wrong... Never said anything about bombers in the clip. I was saying the Germans used suicidal tactics, not just the japanese.

  • I thought that was more of an 'out of ammo' attack rather than their only method. Yeah it meant bringing down their plane but yours too.

  • wrong we just ramm bombers and most pilots were stil living after this so no suicide

  • google 'Leonidas Squadron'

  • dont forget they use it on the ac-130=] great gun

  • great weapon amazing how the 40mm is still around today. During all of the island campaings such as Saipan, Iowa Jima and bloody Okinawa these were also used for shore bombarment

  • Also mounted on PT boats (in the stern deck) and used around the Solomons and Phillipines to attack jap shore installations and had great success at attacking jap barges and small freighters

  • What is amazing is this weapon was around for over 40 years and used by many countries in many roles, but never had a major modification. A real tribute to its design.

  • 40MM bofors gun, used by us navy royal navy superb gun.

  • my surname is cassin and im irish, anyone have any idea where the cassin this ship is named after comes from??? you never know, we might be related in some way

  • Cassin Young, Medal of Honor winner at Pearl Harbor while in command of the Uss Vestal. He later was aboard the cruiser San Francisco, where he was killed in the battle of the Coral Sea.

  • Cassin Young was my mothers father. He was the Commanding Officer of the USS San Francisco and was killed Nov 13,1942 at the Battle of Guadal Canal.

  • I stand corrected.

  • the pom pom, they came in versions with up to 8 barrels. I think they just filled the air with shells and hoped the plane would run into them.

  • The low rate of fire from the 40mm, but deadly shells were only effective if you actually hit something.

Lighter guns were less effective but had a larger chance of hitting anything at all, thus increasing the chance of disabling it by shooting the pilot or some other vital part of the plane.

  • at :55 u can see U.S.S constitution

  • The 40 mm cannons were mounted on a tank and were highly effetive weapons in viet-nam. would like to see videos honoring these men.

  • look up duster tank

  • i couldnt find it my self i got a friend who might be able to help
