Those were the days...This commercial is nostalgic. Too bad they couldn't repeat a stanley cup win with the Rangers :( I think if Mark Messier stayed one more season with the Rangers they would've definitely won the Cup. Shame on Neil Smith for not holding on to the Rangers' best player.
Neil Smith was a douche. Did evrything he could to dismantle the 94 Rangers. Got rid of Zubov, who only went on to play the next decade or so with the Stars as the most reliable, almost never injured, offensive/defensive player in the leaugue.Sorry Smith, he didn't shoot enough? Guess M.Schnieder made up for that. While we're at it let's blame all offensive problems on Kovalev, send him packing. Nemchinov, Karpotsev? Who needs a solid checking line scorer and good stay at home defensman anyway?
Gretzky didn't even choose New York as his first option. He wanted to finish his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs on a deal that would have been about half as expensive as the contract the Rangers dished out to him.
Not exactly. He wanted to. It's just that Leafs management was focused on selling tickets and filling the building than making the team exciting. The Rangers and Stars both expressed interest, besides the Leafs, and he would have taken half of the 6.5 million he made in New York to play in Toronto.
Agree with Crispy27, someone should have told FOX that they played quite well together in Edmonton. I guess the intrigue was to see if they could pick up where they left off.

Some people want young white females to mix with non-white males.
I made a one-minute video highlighting a very tiny sample of race-mixing advertisements.
I love white people, and I am opposed to race-mixing. But I do not hate non-whites.
If you click on my name “autumntree2011” highlighted in blue below this comment, you can watch my video.

Man it pains me to see this. If Keenan wouldn't have been such a douche, The Great One would have finished his career out as a Blue.

How exactly would the signing of Gretzky not have been a great move for selling tickets for the Leafs?
