  • Not all russians, belorussians are so beautiful, but generaly women are shapely, never obese... unless they are sick.. they do not go out much, so we did not see them... Shockingly, in Amerika, they go all around the city, town, life... Too bad for my eyes... I am not discriminating, but want my son marry a normal, without any disabilities... girl. Oh, I forgot my Math notunderstanding... But I can sing and I play piano... It did nit hurt me not to be able to calculus. Can they play instrument

  • хорошо...

  • Сьпі мая кветачка means "water my flowers?". This is my guess

  • @radurambo

No, it doesn't mean "water my flowers". This is a lullaby, and it starts with "sleep my little flower, my dear baby..."

  • Thank you! I was stupid. I should have guessed alone that Сьпі=spat'=sleep=schlaff

  • @radurambo

nope, it means "sleep my flower"

  • It means "sleep, my flower."

  • I know russian alittle and really would like to learn Belarussian, where can I have the lyrics of this song?

and r there any cool belarussian songs u recommend me to listen?

  • here you go:

p.s. please use "Belarusian" without the double-s, we don't really like this version.

  • I didn't think so, Comrade. Double /s/ implies you are White Russians, when you are actually White Rus', and you can hear that in the language, how it sounds so similar to Ukrainian xD. Do you know any resources I could use to learn Belarusian?

  • you could download "Belarusian Grammar by Taraszkievicz", unfortunately I don't have the link

  • Thanks! I'm on its trail already xD

  • @glamourgipsy It is TARASHKEVICH not taraszkievich. This is not Polish !!!

  • @glamourgipsy Thank-you, I've now had the PDF on my smartphone for almost a year, it's excellent!

  • @Solkovsky You are mistaken. Belarusians are NOT White Russians:-)

And White Russians were only in Sovet War)))

  • @SergeKaleyeu

I know, Rus' is not Russia, Rus' is Kyjivan Rus' (Ukraine and Belarus')

  • @Solkovsky belarussian and ukrainian are two forms of the same original east slavic language. russian is a new phenomenon developed through the influence of church slavonic, which is old bulgarian, which is ancient thracian (thraco-macedonian) + southern slavic (incl. antes, semi-iranian) + proto bulgar (iranian-turkic). belarussians and ukrainians should stop using russian!!!

  • @toofunkyniki This 100% truth, and I completely agree with you despite the fact I am studying Russian at university. Russian culture and language are brilliant and interesting, but no more than Ukrainian and Belarusian! I would like to see Ukraine and Belarus join together to form one state independent of Russia and the EU: let's start another Non-Aligned movement, pick up where Tito left off and end the conglomeration of small peaceful states into culturally stifling international alliances!

  • @toofunkyniki That's a very interesting fact! Thanks for the info. As for stopping to use Russian, it will be a very long process. I think they do try to do something about it.

  • @VelikajaKatja perhaps, more stress would be put on belorussian instead of russian, once lukashenka is dead!!!

  • @Solkovsky Actually the proper name is Belarus :P. White Russia was the name given by Ivan the terrible, in order to incorporate it to Russia. He also have another one to Ukraine...something like little Russia, I don't remember...

=) Belarusian does sounds a lot like Ukrainian (and Polish as well). It was the language spoken in Grand Duchy of Litva (Where Ukraine and Poland were part of it) and so I'm guessing the evolution comes from there.

  • @VelikajaKatja This I know, it is White Ruthenia, not White Rossia. Україна з вами, браття!
