hey feel proud oregon finally got a win over ou and the entire nation saw how it was achieved. we hear alot of homers exclaiming ou shouldve stopped oregon but how when on a 2nd and 9 the ball was clearly tipped at the line as called live by oregon alum dan fouts and the refs called ou for pass interference 2 plays after the home cooking onside botched call. ou challenged the play and the same hometown ref again seemed to miss the correct call. be proud because in a fair called game you lose.
yes one play can decide the game. perfect examples are ou-texas tech when the rb stuffed at the 1 on the games final play. 3 bad calls on that drive. they did however take the td call back when the texas tech wrs was 5 yards out of bounds and the ball grazed his finger tips and hit the ground.

The players did not decide this game, the refs did. I don't care if it's an excuse, it was the worst call of this decade possibly. This isn't the NBA where you can't replay key things(unless the game is almost over), in football the refs can go to the booth and look at the instant replay. It was in broad daylight that a duck touched the ball before in went 10 yards. And if it could not get any worse, OU recovered the ball, Oregon never did. This is why the Pac-10 is a shitty and lame conference.

I was actually at the game...it's no fun really. If you duck down to the ground it's silence but standing up (as everyone does all game) you can't even talk to the person next to you. The stadium is sunk into the ground and the field has an arc to it to run off water...it's not a level surface. But despite it's size (and I've been to Beaver Stadium) it is louder than crap. Bama, Michigan, you name it are all full of senior citizens. But Autzen is just full of young, crazy folk.

In fact, if you really remember the game, OU could have put the game out of reach if Adrian Peterson had not run out of bounds near the goal line a few minutes earlier, and we eventually had to settle for a field goal near the end of the game. That on-sides call? Maybe the worst call I have ever seen. The official quit that week after a long career. He damaged the Pac 10.

Its called momentum. That was the single worst call I have ever witnessed, and it was the reason they lost. You can look at other plays, yes, but the fact of the matter is the game should have ended in a 33-27 victory. When something like and obviously incorrect call happens, such as your team not recovering an onsides kick, it is much harder to stop a team. You clearly know nothing about football. Oklahoma fans really have no place complaining about bad calls. The lost by ten points on a nuetral field to a team that ended with the same record as them against the same opponents, yet the BS decided that they somehow, were better than Texas.
The refs may have fucked up, but Oklahomo lost because they weren't good enough that day. Despite the officials' blundering, they still had opportunities to win. Their defense allowed two Oregon TD drives in the final three minutes, and then the Sooners missed a very makeable FG at the end.
The Ducks, albeit benificiaries of bad officiating, took advantage of their opportunities and deserved to win.
Remembering, OF COURSE, that those were PAC 1o Refs.

Yes we got beat, but it was by a bad coaching decision on the part of Bellotti. Boise State is a good team and the fact that we were playing with are 4th and 5th string OBs should be taken into consideration, when you judge the outcome of the game. There are very few teams if any, that would have made this game this close with having to use there 5th String QB. Do you really think your team could go 5 deep in QBs and only lose by 5 Points. Heck I was surprised that Oregon did it.
Oh and yes it did end up effecting the outcome of our season. If I remember right were ranked pretty high at the end of that season and even won the big 12 title, in fact if my memory serves me correct we were ranked 3 after the big 12 title and the only thing keeping us from geting the nod to play in the national championship was that one extra loss on our record get your facts strait. The players did not decide this game, the refs did. I don't care if it's an excuse, it was the worst call of this decade possibly. This isn't the NBA where you can't replay key things(unless the game is almost over), in football the refs can go to the booth and look at the instant replay. It was in broad daylight that a duck touched the ball before in went 10 yards. And if it could not get any worse, OU recovered the ball, Oregon never did. This is why the Pac-10 is a shitty and lame conference.

I was actually at the game...it's no fun really. If you duck down to the ground it's silence but standing up (as everyone does all game) you can't even talk to the person next to you. The stadium is sunk into the ground and the field has an arc to it to run off water...it's not a level surface. But despite it's size (and I've been to Beaver Stadium) it is louder than crap. Bama, Michigan, you name it are all full of senior citizens. But Autzen is just full of young, crazy folk.

I am a huge OU fan. Fact is, we embarrassed ourselves by even giving Oregon the chance to come back. In fact, if you really remember the game, OU could have put the game out of reach if Adrian Peterson had not run out of bounds near the goal line a few minutes earlier, and we eventually had to settle for a field goal near the end of the game. That on-sides call? Maybe the worst call I have ever seen. The official quit that week after a long career. He damaged the Pac 10.

Its called momentum. That was the single worst call I have ever witnessed, and it was the reason they lost. You can look at other plays, yes, but the fact of the matter is the game should have ended in a 33-27 victory. When something like and obviously incorrect call happens, such as your team not recovering an onsides kick, it is much harder to stop a team. You clearly know nothing about football. (this is from someone who doesn't like OK).

If you feel the former, are you going to throw out the fact that, even after the onside kick, Oklahoma couldn't stop Oregon on their drive, and then had their gimme field goal blocked? Who is to say that had Oklahoma recovered the onside kick, Paul Thompson wouldn't have fumbled his first snap trying to run the clock out, giving Oregon the ball anyway?

Seeing as Nebraska fell off the face of the planet, OU has lost several consecutive BCS games, Texas Tech lost their bowl game to Ole Miss who had the same 9-4 record as Oregon State, Missouri disappointed, Kansas was a 1-hit wonder. Shit... at least the Pac-10 wins bowl games. 5-0 last season against Oklahoma State, BYU, Miami, Penn State, etc.

The refs may have fucked up, but Oklahomo lost because they weren't good enough that day. Despite the officials' blundering, they still had opportunities to win. Their defense allowed two Oregon TD drives in the final three minutes, and then the Sooners missed a very makeable FG at the end.
The Ducks, albeit benificiaries of bad officiating, took advantage of their opportunities and deserved to win.

I watched a high school game this year where the runner was called down on the 3 inch line and it's almost impossible to tell whether or not he scored. The refs decision is final and there's nothing you can do about it not, just get over it. Look whose playing int he national championship?

First off when you try to cut someone down use proper spelling. Second, explain how we're overrated. OU lost their best defensive player which made a huge overall difference. We had an interception stolen from us and given to Texas much like the game in this video, which coincidentally was the turning point in the game.
Albeit we lost, we still have a shot at not only the BIG 12 Championship, but the National Championship.

Naw man, the onside kick was a missed call because the Oregon player touched it a foot before 10 yards... it then hit an Okie player and Oregon got on top of it and was down (i guess the ball rolled after that). If you take back that TD on the delay of game (and plenty of the other horrid calls in that game) then are we down like 5 points here and even have to attempt this onside kick?

Blocked field goal has no bearing. Game was over. We came up with the ball. It didn't roll after that. 4 missed calls 1 play. You Oregon fans can shape the game any way you want to in your minds, but we both know what really happened. Put yourself in our shoes watching the game. Pretend OU kicked the onside and Oregon came up with the ball after it hit an OU player first while not going 10 yards and interfered with the receiving player. I'm 100% sure you would be making the same argument.

It was a 5 or 6 point game at the onside kick. Why would we need to score 2 TDs? We needed one score. You guys are incredibly butt hurt that a ref called a fair onside kick because an Oregon player touched it at 9 instead of 10 yards, which was the wrong call and it should have been the Okie's ball. Yes we got beat, but it was by a bad coaching decision on the part of Bellotti. Boise State is a good team and the fact that we were playing with are 4th and 5th string OBs should be taken into consideration, when you judge the outcome of the game. There are very few teams if any, that would have made this game this close with having to use there 5th String QB. Do you really think your team could go 5 deep in QBs and only lose by 5 Points. Heck I was surprised that Oregon did it.

Oh and yes it did end up effecting the outcome of our season. If I remember right were ranked pretty high at the end of that season and even won the big 12 title, in fact if my memory serves me correct we were ranked 3 after the big 12 title and the only thing keeping us from geting the nod to play in the national championship was that one extra loss on our record get your facts strait. And no I'm not hanging to that loss I've let it go, why not, look where we are compared to you now.
