I've heard that hackamores are more harsh than regular bridles with a bit because of the pressure on the nose. Is a bit-less bridle the same? Beautiful horse!
@AriellSolo thank you for your question. My understanding of hackamores is they are like a lever coming from a knot under the chin that as the reins are pulled hard noseband tightens across the nose similar to a vise. The All-In-One is a simple rope halter with side pull loops that does not create undo pressure. Bitless Horsemanship is riding with your body therefore the All-In-One is simply a guidance tool and an emergency handbrake if necessary. Email me if you need any help Missy
question for you: connecting the main lead rope from under his chin to the saddle, as you are riding the rope moves back and forth creating tension under the chin - wouldn't that send conflicting messages to his head? when used from the ground, this move and its subsequent effect on the rope halter tells him to back off normally, right?
@stedarmail I know what you mean as it does swing back and forth at times, but it has never presented any problems since my horses know the difference between groundwork (when I'm standing in front of them presenting body language pressure) and when I'm on their back under saddle using my body cues. I ride using my body while my reins are just my back-up. Does that make sense?
@wholistichorsewoman yup, makes perfect sense ;-). thank you for your informative videos, I have learned so much from you in the past few mnths since I got my horse. Keep up the good work, hope it helps as many horses out there and their owners to work on a better relationship.
