    THE TIN ANGEL

She's an incredible performer - even better in person than on recordings - not to be missed....

  • This isn't usually my style of music but I love this song.

  • I think I never understood this song fully till I had a son.

  • a mto tempo conheci essa banda..e na hora ja fui comprar os cds...recomendo pra pessoas de bom gosto.....

  • Wish there was more music like made today instead of the crap put out now. Love this song from the first. Still gives me the chills. And Mary Fahl's voice is awesome!

  • my parents used to play this for me when i was a baby :)

  • @ijk717 I've seen Mary Fahl twice now in Pittsburgh; a friend and I actually did promotion for her before her show at Club Cafe this past summer. She's a phenomenal artist and a wonderful human being. We had a great time talking to her after the show, and she provided some useful insight on a couple of songs that I'd been wondering about.

  • gave me chillz the first time i saw this video..

  • It's too bad the the music of today cannot compair to this at all.

  • just love this... amazing grasp of melody and where to take a song.. totally captivating and beautiful.

  • a child in a box

  • yes, I remember but it's been such a long time, I almost forgot. We used different names then, and the sky was the limit. Thank you

  • October project needs Mary Fahl, Mary Fahl needs october project.

  • @dsmackasgmailcom I've heard Mary Fahl's solo work - she's fine without them. October Project's biggest mistake was not letting Mary Fahl write songs for them.

  • @jjk717 I'll agree with you. But I find myself spinning the first two OP cd's more than Mary's - and I have them all - Mary's solo CD's, November Project and the new OP.

  • Espectacular y la voz profunda e intensa.

  • Hermosa voz, bella canción y estupendo video.

  • Timeless

  • Will always hold those 2 albums in a very high regard!

  • I just love this song. Its beautiful

  • Off to see Mary Fahl live in Portland Maine this evening! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • simply beautiful!!!

  • I so miss them...

  • linda voz, me faz lembrar Annie Haslan.

Beautiful voice, i remembered Annie Haslan

  • its BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • This song gives me chills every time I listen to it. Amazing.

ME GUSTA! Grácias a mi pelu mis oidos y demás sentidos descubren nueva luz, Gracias mi amor! TE AMO!

  • I LOVED this group in the day.. I don't know what prompted me to look, but thanks.

    Спасибо,

    Landis.

  • I first heard this song on satelite tv on MORE MUSIC ,had to have the CD. Listened over and over to it, therapy I guess while living with a violent alcoholic. Life is better now....I still love the song!!!

  • I sae this video just a year ago, and I finally understood the song and why I love it so much. I just hope we can forgive and love our own child from the beggining, and not having to wait until we are old to remember that childhood lives in our hearts.

  • mary fahl rocks falling farther in worth a listen too

  • HUGE fan since way back in the day...so so beautiful still :)

  • GREAT.

  • I LOVE this band!!!

  • one of my favorite albums, yet I'd never seen this video until today - and it's just as haunting as the song. LOVE Mary Fahl's gorgeous voice!

  • Nicest bunch of people I ever had the pleasure of meeting. Such a shame their record company was such a collection of assholes.

  • Beautiful....Mary Fahl is a Goddess........

  • @pauljohm yes she is

  • very powerful song, eerie imagery, and content. brings up a whole lot of issues for me

  • This was one of the best groups ever! So sad that they broke up. They tried to continue as November Project without Mary Fahl, but it didn't work. We saw Mary solo last week and she played 6 OP songs, all great. She has tremendous new material and her voice is still perfect.

  • LOVE THIS!!! I saw them live years ago...they opened for Sarah McLaughlin and the audience was blown away! Never got the props they deserved!

  • @brownriceboiy Can you imagine a Mary Fahl/Sarah McLaughlin duet? The mind boggles...

  • Ya .. first Oct Proj is fab start to end.

  • OMG I LOVE this great song!!! Fantastic!!

  • This band was/is the best kept secret of the pop musical world.Great percussion and piano accompaniment but above all is the eerie back vocals of Belica that stands out on all of there songs.

  • Really moving album, sad they could not maintain.

  • SAD THEY AREN'T TOGETHER ANYMORE!

  • @dohkimoreally Actually, they are together again. They reunited in 2003.

  • So whats up....was the entire concept for the movie The Ring stolen from this video? =P

  • @truffelsnuffler The song is actually about child sexual abuse. The child in the grave is symbolic of the death of innocence. The video flashes to the little girl at different stages in her life and her having to deal with something "that happened long ago, something that will not let go." The video has the flashes of the ominous figure with the key to her room. The last image is powerful with the old woman holding and coddling the baby over the grave. She is conforting the child in herself.

  • @steev11 This all is very poetic way to tell the story.

  • @steev11 I don't want to be a duck about it but your innocence is going to die anyway.

  • @steev11 I always thought that is what this song referred too... it speaks to me as I had such an issue. Does anyone know how many albums they made? I've seen 2...

  • is it weird i blast this roughly 8 times on my 45min drive home daily?

  • @Brewoot9999 no my friend. you have good taste in music!-turn it up and enjoy.

  • can you name one tune in the last 10 years as good as this.....just shows you the state of music these days...just an unbelievably powerful song

  • This song is beautiful! The story behind it still is a bit fuzzy to me. At first it comes across as a mothers regret of aborting her child.

  • This song is so beautifully sung as it is written. Although I do not seem to know the true story behind this song. To me, it came across as a mothers regret of abortion.

  • she's so pretty in every way

  • What a gorgeous, soaring song. I kick myself for having missed a Mary Fahl show in Pittsburgh a few years ago; I saw the advertisement for the show literally two days after it had happened. RRR!

  • @michaeljehn She still plays the Pittburgh area from time to time. You should go to her website and get on her mailing list. Mary Fahl dot com.

  • This was my favorite song from this album for a good long time. Glad I could find it again. Such a strange, original sound. I love it!

  • The best band of the 90's. Amazing on every level.

  • This woman's voice is the definition of "smoky". Amazing, deep voice to go with the dark video.

  • Wow...Powerful. I think the video depicts an older women coming to terms with being sexually abused. All the imagery of the loss of innocence...the child in the ghost costume with the filthy sheets scaring the other kids....the baby in the grave.....the old women and the very end holding the child that was lost. The song and video brings tears to my eyes.

  • The song is about a forced, incestual relationship in which a child was born. They left the child to die in a shallow grave. "bury my lovely, hide in your room. Forget me, forget me soon, forget me now... No one with ever know you are here... a thousand goodbyes" The mother sits looking out the upstairs window down at the child that never grew up. The bloody ghost is the dead child that never had the chance to play with its friends on Halloween. The child glances up at the mother longingly.

  • whatever did happened to them, I can't find them anywhere, what has happened to Mary Fahl anyways............

  • @hotrod322008 She plays solo now and her voice is as amazing as ever! Mary Fahl dot com.

  • My dream?

Mary Fahl, Magenta's "siren" and Annie Haslam on stage simultaneously.

    My life would be completed.

  • Hah! I hear you. :-) So, you like me knew that OP was the next Renaissance. Too bad Sony snuffed them out like they did.

  • this is an awesome band/song.way ahead of its time

  • Beautiful song. Powerfully moving video.
