@gzhde because the faster u go around a corner the more grip u need so since F1 is the fastest motor sport out there they require the most aerodynamics to stick to the road unlick nascar the go bout 188 mph in a cirlce so they dnt need it all they need is a back spoiler to prevent spin outs f1 goes bout 220 mph and around a circuit with long straights and tight corners plus its a glam sport too gotta look good to right . hope this helped ;)

F1 is a mental test of focus on 4 different directional accelerations, endurance, strength ( holding 5 lat g's for 8 seconds isn't exactly easy) while also doing things like passing, etc that nascar drivers do too. Other than that it's all the engineers who make the car put down fast lap times.

Not by team rules or some bullshit logic that the team managers decide when you can pass the person who they are trying to beat in points. The difference between the guy in the lead and the guys at the back is the aero engineers who work for the team. The rear diffuser alone accounts for 40% of downforce on a leading F1 car. yea 40%....

why compare F1 to Nascar? Nascar is a full sedan body. That's like comparing WTCC to F1. Nascar has rules limiting electronics other advanced hardware so does the WTCC. It's all in the interest of making Drivers the deciding factor of a race rather than the vehicle alone winning. The rules are structured so each car costs about $200,000 which is a bargain and the F1 just implemented similar rules this year with the Spending Cap of 40 million per year. Both sports have similar interests.

i'm really surprised to see how fast this year's cars are... they're just as fast and sometimes faster than last year, i think it's all down to the slicks (estimated to give 3 seconds per lap) put the slicks on last years cars and they would be incredible...

Well in 2010 there will not be any technical restrictions, instead every team get a budegtcap. which means that the teams signing up for the optional cap must limit their spending to £40 million per year (£10 million higher than originally proposed) in exchange for greater technical freedom.

An other thing is that there will 13 teams for 2010... one of them is Lola(raced in F1 One in the 1960s, '70s, '80s and '90s) maybe aston martin will also return and the third is still unknown
