Hm...IMO you are somewhere in Japan in this Game - that would at least make a little sense.

I still wonder - why did they take the Kunoichi enemies out and added the midgets in the US Version?

Kunoichi is pronounced "k'NOY-tchee" and it is the japanese word for a female ninja (I think). And as for the kamaitachi, or "sickle weasel", that mythical creature is associated with speed/wind.

Ah. That's how I thought it was pronounce, but I wasn't sure. And yeah, they were female ninja that used deception and seduction in order to spy or get close to their targets so they could kill them.

I did find that out about the kamaitachi, but only because I looked it up when I was doing this LP out of curiousity. :D

@corona180 your pronunciation of kunoichi is better than the one recommended above. it's parsed as ku no ichi, so the no and the i are not joined in the pronunciation.

Hmm, I could have sworn I replied to this before...

Anyway, while I knew that Ninja Warriors had been in the arcade, I wasn't sure if I would classify this as a remake. Technically I think its a sequel since it goes by the name Ninja Warriors Again in Japan. I avoided mentioning it since I wasn't sure what to describe it as, although I think I do mention its predecessor in one of the subsequent videos.
