Sadly the officers at the time did not have tasers and if you did not know they chased after rodney king for hours he was threatening many peoples lives and when they finally stopped him he attacked the officers and resisted them. They gave him countless warnings till they had to try to take him down and he just kept resisting because he was so doped up on drugs.

3.1999 arrested for spousal assult. 4. 2001 three counts of being under the influence of PCP and one count of indecent exposure. 5. 2003 Speeding and running a red light while under the influence of alcohol. He failed to yield to police officers and slammed his SUV into a house, breaking his pelvis.
