This is transitional phase to true democracy and its still a long long way to go even thought it is going the right direction. Perhaps your child will enjoy the fruit of your labour. But if i were you, i would not give credit to Mr T. I probably see him as not a good fellow but he is the best fellow for the job at this moment.
@dodobirdyip, I was not giving credit to Mr. T, only quoting him as being factually correct in his assertion (of course some will say he is funding the protests - even if he isn't, they'dd be doing so themselves). This protest is more widespread and independent than any rallying campaign for Mr T; it has moved on from being just a movement for his re-installation into power. The masses have woekn up! It is bordering on a Maoist insurgency - think Nepal.
Best scenerio for the future would be ....People elects their own favourite person in the next round of election. There should be a well balance mixed of red, yellow and neutral colours sitting in the parliament after the election. Plus, a new constituency to de-power the military and whoever that backs them. by then, all fights will be between the elected members in the parliament. Citizens then can sit back and watch them fights. No life shall be lost though.

Few weeks ago, I came across an interesting news on how some high ranking military personnel in Burma suddenly resign from their profession in order to become a civilian and to contest in the coming election......I take my hats off for that because they wanted to govern the nation legitimately instead of using puppets. this is cool. Lesson can be gained from this.
The 'elections' in Burma are not free. The generals have a reserved percentage of seats in the government. Generals resign to take part for small 'political parties' which will get elected. In this way they ensure the military always controls the government by an effective majority.

Best scenerio for the future would be ....People elects their own favourite person in the next round of election. There should be a well balance mixed of red, yellow and neutral colours sitting in the parliament after the election. Plus, a new constituency to de-power the military and whoever that backs them. by then, all fights will be between the elected members in the parliament. Citizens then can sit back and watch them fights. No life shall be lost though.

Few weeks ago, I came across an interesting news on how some high ranking military personnel in Burma suddenly resign from their profession in order to become a civilian and to contest in the coming election......I take my hats off for that because they wanted to govern the nation legitimately instead of using puppets. this is cool. Lesson can be gained from this.

The 'elections' in Burma are not free. The generals have a reserved percentage of seats in the government. Generals resign to take part for small 'political parties' which will get elected. In this way they ensure the military always controls the government by an effective majority.
