I wish there was more footage of Vivianna on YouTube - she's a dancer that fascinates me endlessly. Darcey used to be my favorite English ballerina - she's still one of my favorites however, I do think Viviana outdanced her. :)

the aurora 3 variation is one of the most challenging of petipa choreography, the music is the quietest it will ever be on stage as only a violin is playing and as it's so slow much control is required as well as the lighthing being the brightest it will be as in most of the aurora variations. this woman is by no means boring, she has beautiful expression (none of it cheesy). and ballerinagirl26 this variation isnt sad, its her solo at her wedding, a very happy time.
I agree that she's accomplished those tasks with her perfect technique but I don't understand how her expressions are beautiful. Sure we hate cheesy stuff but she is in fact more of a mechanical dancer just because of her lack of emotions/expression. And since this choreography seems similar to the one in the opening of giselle, i keep comparing it to Alessandra Ferri who is a prodigious actress and dancer. But then again I know nothing of ballet but i am a fan of it.
I think she expresses amazingly with her whole body. Her face to me looks natural and I prefer it that way rather than to see some cheesy grin. From most parts of the theatre you wouldn´t be able to make out her facial expresions anyway but you could see her musicality and quality of movement a mile away!
she has horrible feet tho.
