Great video quality and an adorable daughter. However most reviews complain about indoor video and image quality. Could you comment on that?

They're right. This isn't the camcorder you'd want for low light situations. Stills are great indoors, but the videos are lousy in my living room. Good thing I keep the pool in the back yard (just kidding) :)

This camera is great for surfing because it does a great transition from air to water. You can even take stilln pics under water. There's also special wrist strap you can get for it. so you don't lose it in the surf.
