The 360 version will be practically no different from the PC version. The console will have more noticeable texture pop-in, that's about it. Just like Crysis 2,

The could have sold more if they had good marketing power like Bioware otherwise it have really sold well in few months as alan wake sold in 2 years even both are awesome games . Piracy is nothing ,,, they were supposed to have playable demos at E3 so ppl can try this out ,,, Starcraft 2 sold more than 4.5 million copies in less than a month on PC alone while most anticipated skyrim sold 10 million even its multiplatform . I'm a PC gamer elitist and as far as consoles go even I have to say the big Ps3 Exclusives exhibit technical superiority over anything the 360 can dish out. The RSX VRAM/SRAM works in unison with the CELL and when done correctly easily surpasses the 360's capabilities. The problem is, most third party devs can't spend the time with the tools in order to get it to do that. However Ps3 exclusive devs can and that is why is a plain as day fact of life. BTW PC kicks both their asses.
I'm mostly a PC gamer and I think the 360 and PS3 are pretty damn equal. I don't see much of a difference between them at all. The PC on the other hand offers a big jump up in graphics. The Witcher 2 on PC looks amazing.

For one it is a great game and people without a decent gaming rig should be able to play it, and it will boost the popularity of the series and the game which is great because both of The Witcher games are great and deserve recognition. @TaSe88 your computer shouldent run that much of a difference it should only go up by like 20fps indoors not almost 50...u have something wrong cause even my laptop runs it on low around runs around 35 indoors and 20-25out. anyways you have to consider its a console it wouldent help it anymore if it were to go to ps3. and like most console games the graphics will be done there will be no AA, ubersampling and all of that so it'll run better.
it's kind of cool to have the tables turned for once. Usually games come out on consoles way before it comes to PC. I guess its fitting that its one of the best games ever.

@Anubisrunner08 hair physics is always on one of the most difficult details to render fluently, -even on a scalable platform. it can be done with clever design and ingenuity, but at least they didnt shave his head and call it a day (like so many god damn game protagonists recently).

The orginal Crysis never had much depth to begin with. Why pc gamers put it on such a pedestal is beyond me. Bioshock is one of the best shooters to come out this generation. I've never played Crysis 2 or XCOM so i cant coment on those.
LIke i said before quality is subjective if a franchise is going in a direction you dont want it to.
@Zain844 CONTINUED I happen to agree with you on Crysis, beneath the gorgeous graphics lies a relatively by the numbers shooter with a very interesting suit mechanic that had a lot of untouched potential, but it was still good fun regardless of the issues. The sequel, however, is embarrassingly bad.
Oh,and if you think Bioshock is good, then you've obviously never played System Shock 2, the game it was based on.

What's the point of making sequels if they are all the same? (*cough* Call of Duty) I dunno about Crysis 2 I never played it but The first Crysis in my opinion was an average shooter at best. @Zain844 I'm not complaining that it wasn't a Shock 2 clone, quite the opposite in fact. I'm not a fan of the game because it doesn't distinguish itself enough from its predecessor, especially concerning the story. Even if it has an entirely new cast of characters and a new setting, it has the exact same plot and twist as SS2, and that felt very cheap to me. The combat also left a lot to be desired, but that was fixed in the sequel, a much better game, in my opinion.

It's outrageous. and companies are eager to make that money back so they can stay in business and continue making games. That's what you don't understand that it's not just about you. and the type of gaming experience you want. Even though this is supposed to be pre-alpha I really hope they optimize the hell out of this game for the consoles. The PC version was pretty heavy to run but it has many customizable options that gives great control on visual quality and performance. This is a fantastic game and I hope it is well received by the console gamers, even though they will have an extremely hard time caring for any of the characters since the first game is not available to them. I wonder what they'll do about that

I just had a go at the PC version with my DualShock 3, which was all right, but felt less precise than the keyboard+mouse combo.
This is coming from someone who uses his PS3 a lot more than his PC for gaming.

Like everybody knows the xbox hardware is almost 6 years now. not a single game looked this good 6 years back! My old computer (3 years old) cant run Crysis at the same level as my friends xbox and it is still double the age, but ofc my new one kicks its arse!

I play most games on PC but I'm happy that this is coming to the 360. For one it is a great game and people without a decent gaming rig should be able to play it, and it will boost the popularity of the series and the game which is great because both of The Witcher games are great and deserve recognition. So Xbox gamers, when this game comes out on 360, I have a feeling it will blow the minds of many of you guys.

@TaSe88 your computer shouldent run that much of a difference it should only go up by like 20fps indoors not almost 50...u have something wrong cause even my laptop runs it on low around runs around 35 indoors and 20-25out. anyways you have to consider its a console it wouldent help it anymore if it were to go to ps3. and like most console games the graphics will be done there will be no AA, ubersampling and all of that so it'll run better.

@Anubisrunner08 hair physics is always on one of the most difficult details to render fluently, -even on a scalable platform. it can be done with clever design and ingenuity, but at least they didnt shave his head and call it a day (like so many god damn game protagonists recently).
dont see why its funny that such obvious behaviour must be compromised on an xbox. this is basic game design and development that virtually everyone who makes games is aware of and takes into consideration.

The orginal Crysis never had much depth to begin with. Why pc gamers put it on such a pedestal is beyond me. Bioshock is one of the best shooters to come out this generation. I've never played Crysis 2 or XCOM so i cant coment on those.
LIke i said before quality is subjective if a franchise is going in a direction you dont want it to.

@Zain844 CONTINUED I happen to agree with you on Crysis, beneath the gorgeous graphics lies a relatively by the numbers shooter with a very interesting suit mechanic that had a lot of untouched potential, but it was still good fun regardless of the issues. The sequel, however, is embarrassingly bad.
Oh,and if you think Bioshock is good, then you've obviously never played System Shock 2, the game it was based on.

if you want a game that plays exactly like System Shock 2 just play System Shock 2 Just because a game does not play exactly like it's predessor did, does not make it bad. What's the point of making sequels if they are all the same? (*cough* Call of Duty) I dunno about Crysis 2 I never played it but The first Crysis in my opinion was an average shooter at best. What made it special were the graphics

@Zain844 I'm not complaining that it wasn't a Shock 2 clone, quite the opposite in fact. I'm not a fan of the game because it doesn't distinguish itself enough from its predecessor, especially concerning the story. Even if it has an entirely new cast of characters and a new setting, it has the exact same plot and twist as SS2, and that felt very cheap to me. The combat also left a lot to be desired, but that was fixed in the sequel, a much better game, in my opinion.

It's outrageous. and companies are eager to make that money back so they can stay in business and continue making games. That's what you don't understand that it's not just about you. and the type of gaming experience you want. That's what you don't understand Consumers dictact where the market will go. Crysis sold 3 million copies that may sound impressive but Halo 3 ( a console exclusive releases around the same time) sold almost 3 times that number. Console titles outsell pc titles there is just no getting around that. Gaming is business and the objective of a business is to maximize long term owner value. Even though this is supposed to be pre-alpha I really hope they optimize the hell out of this game for the consoles. The PC version was pretty heavy to run but it has many customizable options that gives great control on visual quality and performance. This is a fantastic game and I hope it is well received by the console gamers, even though they will have an extremely hard time caring for any of the characters since the first game is not available to them. I wonder what they'll do about that

This is the first hardcore game I've played on a PC since the 90s and I'm glad I did. Everything after that has been consoles until this game. The Witcher 2 is my Game of the year so far.
