i think that the SLR was not being pushed to its limits ! its clearly that he has the advantage in the start where massive torque get the car started , but after 200 kmh the SLR will be much faster than the Carrera GT. u can clearly see that the SLR owner does not apply full throttle after the launch or simply after the 2nd gear.

If they had kept on going, the SLR would start to catch up at around 160 mph. Before that, the power/weight ratio is the deciding factor in the comparison.
how ?? ive seen and heard about wat happens after 200 and the cgt over comes the slr and can hit 210 mph whilst the slr can only manage 208,but maybe im wrong i am a merc. fan tho so i wouldnt just be saying this
the carrera is modified,sorry guys buty the facts are out and these cars are identical 0 - 60 0 - 186 however the carrera gt was faster past 186 to its top speed,becuz its a larger engine its top speed is also higher

I think the SLR's crazy torque would start to pull on the Carrera GT at higher speeds.
Down low though the Porsche is just plain faster.
Low weight and basically identical power to the SLR, it's a given.

No it's not. Top speed for the carrera gt is 205 mph, for the slr it's 208.
