Hey my wife watched in horror as you chopped "about an inch" off your gear stick, she always said bigger is better. She complains that im a bit of a quicker shifter and its over too soon. What are your thoughts on this? and do you have any training on increasing the size of my gearstick or maybe tightning her short shift box?
Some cars have a ball joint instead of a pin. Not sure what to do about that. Most of the after market quick shifters are expensive for say a supra gearbox.
also have to consider that hes spent $0 on it :P ok maybe some for the welding materials and lubricant but hey thats nothing.. and also hes now got the bragging rights to his mates saying.. see the shifter? i made that :)
ahh dude isnt a short shift kit the same ? sept you remove the shift pole and replace it with a shorter one some you simply just unscrew the shift pipe n screw in the shorter one
a few problems with this. its definatly not a short shifter. just shortens the throw slightly.
secondly just chop off the end and grub screw a new knob on there. no need to cut and weld
