  • Awesome, you can see why jay-z got so big when you look at his old stuff

  • shit's dope

  • :)

  • diggity sounding like diggity DAS EFX.

  • snotty nose

    body blows

    mf fletcher

  • dope tune x

  • In that indiana pacers reggie miller jersey he actually looks like Reggie for a minute

  • 18 years ago. dayumm i feel old now.

  • sorry but any "rapper" who won't use the word bitch has sold out

  • listen to mental martial art nice

  • THAT'S A TRIP HOW THE BITCHES DRESS IN THE VIDEOS BACK THEN vs NOW....

  • he sold out for sure!! fuck em

  • Thumbs up if u bumping ur head.. Even tho ur dissing Jay

  • @baddestbigtruck we're bumping our head to his old stuff.. we're dissing his new shit.

  • nar he sold out

  • This is the real jay the 90s when this nigga was making gully tracks

  • that's why jayz is first on mtv classment

  • This was back when that IGGITY GIGGITY flow was out. Wonder when DAS EFX gonna pop in to spit a verse?!!!

  • WTF HAPPENED TO THIS KIND OF HIP HOP ?! ):

  • rubbish song man, didn't realise Jay was crap back then

  • @jsb1cfc This is the way they were doing it back then, rap changed as time progressed.

  • @Adriangrosvenor yeah but compare that song to some of Biggie's, Naughty's, Pac's and Dre's from the same time period, even Nas' songs, they were a cut above this don't you think?

  • @jsb1cfc Biggie did songs like this Back then also, including Tupac, Nas and those guys, Rap was transitioning into the period of Tupac, Nas style. Listen to Party and Bullshit by Biggie, and some of Pac early records. Jay also have songs the same exact way like Nas from that period to. But unlike today bullshit artist, you have to had bring a complete album showing diversity. You did not hear Big, Pac, Nas, Rakeem, Jay and the rest rapping a whole bunch of gangster songs on one album

  • @jsb1cfc They mixed it up, listen to those early albums, Check all Jay albums they remain the same way, a party song here, some gangster, some real shit, some developments. Then go listen to todays artist Like Jeezy and you find no diversity. That is why ppl say when Jay and Nas and the old School rappers stop rapping the art of rapping is over. Corny artist want to make a whole album about Partying, or gangster and it aint even real. I don't buy rap albums no more, I rather buy one song .

  • @Adriangrosvenor Yeah thats true, artists today are of poorer quality than those of yesteryear. Its sad though because I always resort back to Pac, Nas and Biggie albums just to hear decent rap, its way too comercialised now

  • @jsb1cfc Yep same here, I bump that Old School, stay with Nas and Jay, and few other artist of today. But only consistent ones. When everyone was yelling G Unit I was saying that 50 will fall off fast. Because no one want's to hear about beefs every damn day. Even though Ja rule was no real G, he still mixed up his style. 50 right now is hurting and the whole G Unit is trash. I have found any new artist who brings in a breath of fresh air.

  • @Adriangrosvenor haha, I totally agree about 50, I noticed his sales have plummeted in recent years. I love Nas also, his lyrics are sublime, thoughtful and intelligent. Intelligence is something that seems to escape most rappers nowadays, its like these newer artists are dumbening it down, shame because guys like Pac and Nas raised the bar in my opinion, rappers just seem to be lowering it nowadays, they seem to care more about the beat than lyrics.

  • @jsb1cfc true man rappers nowadays don't know the meaning of real rap there is no meaning to their songs its only about ill kick your ass and how many cars they have. But rappers like these go the distance over time even thought they don't sell as much. Like Krs-One his top album only went gold but if you compare nas to a rapper like Plies there is actually no comparison.

  • Please check out my music on my channel and maybe subscribe. thanks.

  • lol Jay Z rockin the Miller jersey. This is when this dude was ill

  • Jay Was Wack, Jaz-o Son!!!

  • Jay-Z DID NOT SELL OUT nor is he mainstream...Jay-Z does something, everyone likes it, and then everyone starts doing it! Not his fault. Trend-setter.

  • @rockinlaxmo hahahah he raw bited of Big L. know u facts son

  • @rockinlaxmo Jay completely bit off Big L's style. Jay Z never even pays homage to L because if he gave Big L attention then twice as many people would call him a rhyme biter as Big L gained popularity after his death. Him and Jay used to be tight but if you can't even mention a dead homies name in a single song with that much talent then obviously somethings wrong....

  • @Killmatic96 jayz was rapping before big l

  • @fludklat yea but after L died he adapted some of his style and took a bunch of his lines and put them in his songs. I don't hate Jay but he is known to be a rhyme biter.

  • I guess he got that..

  • jay needs to go back to actually writing his raps

  • Am I the only one who finds Jay-Z rocking a Reggie Miller jersey a little weird? I mean he's from New York, the Pacers - Knicks rivalry is at its highest point and he's wearing a Miller jersey in a video filmed in NYC.

  • @LamarMatic ...1994...so that could've been shot before the ECF where the blood-hate started. And definitely before 8 points in 9 seconds. EZ Pass

  • @xtremegt2 I guess so... They did face each other in the '93 playoffs as well though.

  • @LamarMatic doing the opposite of something just for rebel factor

  • Just because a rapper gets rich, doesnt mean he sold out.

  • @BxL0W uhm jay-z was doing that style in '93, before L was even known?

  • FUCK JAY Z

  • Damn jayz goes way backk

  • Rockin Reggie Jersey...Knick Killa...Even Jay knew

  • When he was hungry as a fuck! LOL but he was real back then... :)

  • And for those who say the beat is garbage....well guess what, the lyrics and flow must be emphasized more if the beat's weak AND JIGGA DOES EXACTLY THAT MA NIGGAS

  • Thumbs Up if you was bobbin' your heads

  • he never sold out he got rich from sticking to the rap game, his style changed along with the music industry, i prefer his old tracks like this to his new ones but i prefer old school hip hop to the new rap but if you're watching this then so do you most probably, so stop hatin' that he's changed, he's still dope &don't tell me that you wouldn't sell out in an instant given the opportunity. shut up and hit a bong or something.

  • @Levy2k9 rap music is based on two elements: criticism and non-compromise and if one of these elements disappears, it becomes bullshit! and the fact that he went from liricism to swag bullshit has no excuse

  • @HipHopMaintainer does jay-z really have the style of the industry like is his albums full of chris brown and drake and trey songs features? no is he rapping on trap wacak flocka type beats No hes not dudes made otis does that sound like any other song that is out today mainstream wise? dudes just hate him becuase he rich did you lsiten to watch the throne there songs like new day with like pete rock prodution i dont get the hate

  • @dmdpro5 are you serious? his old music is plain, classic and verses are full of meaning, and its not because of money,Rakim, KRS and masta ace are rich as fuck and they still do the same music

HIP HOP is wisdom in a lirical form that should teach the youth things that nobody would tell them, this bitch raised me, thought me what is good and bad and now he does stupid things that he used to rap about? that aint good to me

  • @Levy2k9 what the f... you talking about? talking about nothin with 10% of his skills on a pop beat is the same thing yhat I'm listening now? cut that bullshit, Jay Z announced his retirement in 2006, I stick to that date.

  • @Levy2k9 Real Shit

  • This song dope!! come check out our version please

    -KITEAAFU

  • @BeenaBee go ahead and tell me how Jay took Nas' rhyme style?

  • RIP REAL HIP HOP!!!!!

  • @scosco781 ugh, you don't know hip hop.

  • @JonPasqual

of course i know hip hop...rap..how the fuck could u say that? if people are feeling it they feeling it. what u think its lil wayne/gucci man n waka flaka n them? grow up

  • First time i heard this track is on streets is watchin dvd, never gets old"

  • @Beenabee he sounds the same. Jay-z didn't steal Nuthin, he's the greatest

  • @wolffrost9

    didn't steal nuthin.

    except for Biggies rhymes.

and tried to adapt Big L's fast wordplay style.

    yeah, mos def he's original...

  • See how different he rapped he backed then before he stole Nas's rhyme style..

  • @MyNameIsMikeyLasers Jay was great on Watch the Throne though

  • @JayCeeLoo he was always real?

  • Damn...he was good

  • A Roc A Fella, Neva Sella Out.. Shame On You Jay, Cant Believe You Where Real Once.. Haha

  • He was actually cute then!

  • This is much nicer than any of the flows on his last three albums, save for American Gangster (No Hook, Roc Boys).

  • neva sellin out. he said. :[

  • @didgaming

you "sell out" when you change yourself for the money, he became rich for being like in this video. that he changed with gettin older is totally normal.

  • @didgaming He didn't crossover, he brought the suburbs to the hood

  • @didgaming pretty sure he said "never selling out".... just because it's a rap video you don't have to use terrible spelling

  • @shfullait OH NO I SAID NEVA NOT NEVER. WHO_CARES

  • @didgaming he didnt. watch yourself.

  • @didgaming yeaaaaah if he was still running mugging people u would say he never made it not enough views shiiit Too many views its sell out and commercial Cmooon people get a fucking life and just listen what coming biaaatches

  • @didgaming jay-z didnt sell out. hes the same player with more money now. he has his own label, he does whatever the fuck he wants to.

  • @willdabeast95 That is true. I just prefer his old shit

  • @didgaming To be honest people change family . this was made like 15 years ago people grow up lol

  • @MershaL90 Reasonable doubt is his most well received album. With the lyric content the way it was on Reasonable Doubt he didn't need to switch his flow up at all. As for him liking Illmatic too much, what you're trying to say he copied Nas? That's ridiculous man.

  • @jaydawgs11 Don't bother caring about him -_-

  • Man, straight plain and simple, Jay Hova is the goat. No one epitomizes hip hop more than this dude. Straight up, no one comes close.

  • the only reason that i still give respect to Jigga its because he fucks Beyonce lol

  • That's the only rap-jigga.nahmsayn?If he rapped with this flow in Reasonable Doubt, the album would be ON MOTHAPHUCCIN FIRE!!!

    But...he liked Illmatic too much.

  • Old Jay was 1,000,000x better than "Watch the Throne" Jay.

  • FUSHNICKENS.HAHAHAHA!!!!

  • this was when his ass wasn't illuminati's lil bitch....

  • When jay z was sick like Nas *

  • @callumbrowns he had to be these were the kung fu years of modern hip hop

  • @thompkinsbilal2 Word *

  • Are people actually saying this is good? This is probably the cheesiest flow Jay's ever spit and the beat is garbage. So glad he evolved past this lame of a style. People always think artist's original music is the best but that's not the case here. There was some wack hip-hop in the 90s too.

  • @Illmatic1988 your right but d'evils and politics as usual as well as can i live are classic also I thinks there's been a murder and a million and one also regrets and lucky me :)

  • @Illmatic1988 you are retarded

  • mmm eminem

    lil wayne

    then jay z

  • @ontopofmyfinger Wow. Just wow

  • Back when jay was fire

  • jay z had mad flow back then...

  • An lil wayne thinks he's better than this, please

  • @ConstructNickJD damn right. Jay-Z has been spitting hard shit since lil waynes fanbase were fetuses.

  • His later stuff was better; I know that's not a popular thing to say here but it's true (to me at least).

  • u wannna know what happpened to ol Jay Z....he got himself a dumb bitch.....beyonce...fuck bitches...MOB

  • real rap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jay-Z should watch this every day, to remeber his roots

  • @MrDjJDK bless this comment

  • @MrDjJDK he has a scholarship foundation for the community, he took oprah to his hood just the other summer, soon to be brooklyn nets will be built just a few blocks from his hood, he still performs "where im from" every live concert he does til this day, 99 problems was filmed in his hood, so i dont think jay forgot about his roots one bit...oh i get it, you want him to rap that street shit back in his hood again, but if he did that today..he would be fake cuz dats not his life anymore

  • i realy dont like him wery mutch but this is DAMN !!! i never heard him doing that sh.. so good!! actualy it reminds me of old days..

  • Damn at 2:24 he made the sound of the money machine match the flow of the song and then it ended with "dough as in making money'. That was slick his making so much money that his money machine can't keep up

  • ooohhh! The best shit!

  • Soo ill wish he dropped this between kanyeezie's interludes at staples!

  • ok this is sick, at least big l kept this type of flow alive when jayz couldnt

  • sure he´ll never sell out

  • FÓDA MANOOOOOOLOOOOOOOOO

  • 2:21 DAAAAAMN! That line is Fire...

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • I feel like an ol man stuck in his ol ways. BUT I DON'T CARE ! 90's RAP is the ONLY RAP!

  • @usergroupX what about the 70s and 80s

  • @sethinator8 I was too young... I feel 90's rap mostly since I was a teen then, and it was DA BOMB back then

  • @usergroupX truth

  • @usergroupX u are right me too im the same way the mysteries of hiphop in the core of the art are in the late 80's early 90's krs-one tribe called quest pharcyde das efx brand nubian nas big l tupac shakur naughty by nature this was the foundation of what the bullshit is today

  • SMH This is great but just cause things change doesnt mean things are bad...damn Yall actin like he didnt make American Gangster...or the Black Album or Blueprint....Chill just enjoy the body of work....

  • back when Jay-Z was a Big Pimp(in)...before beyonce chained him down

  • if weed got chu runnin yo mouth..ya better blow that shit out lmao !

  • WHY IN TAGS YOU GOT LIL WAYNE ?????????

  • @haliakmon So when people trying to find lil wayne can hopefully find real rap instead.

  • yo jay should of kept it this flow

  • That's Ja rule at 3:01, donkey...

  • @MrJgervasio13 nah lol

  • Im living in this video...

  • 3:01 wsup with that fake pac ? Lmao

  • 0:23 CHEACK OUT THE J THE A THE Y Z

  • I don't know any Jay-Z lyrics right now and don't care to remember any

but I Definitely Know a Bunch of Jigga Man Lyrics haha

    I miss the 90's

  • @AngryniggaComments lol interesting if you study his albums you can see when he started selling his soul reasonable doubt in life in times vol1 vol2 vol 3 of shawn carter tell a good bit of it if you carefully listen

  • He had the champagne bottle in his hand back then. aint nothing changed but the flow.

  • Comment removed

  • aw that is savage!!! he is so young looking haaa!! x

  • The nicest, huh? Ooooooooooooooo....k

  • Wow

  • You got to love how people say they love this Jay, but truth of the matter is NONE OF YA'LL WERE UP ON JAY-Z BACK THEN. Shows you how fake rap fans are, when rappers gave ya'll that raw shit ya'll ignore it then years later ya'll backtrack and talk about how they use to be raw.

  • @MrSpliffstarz Yea I wasn't "up on jay-z back then" because I was 4 years old...

  • Here is how it is.... Like Chris Rock said.... When u rich you have to keep your mouth close when people talk about you........ This is what happen when you have money.. People hate on you... When you are poor...... The rich person better not say anything to the poor person...lol.... So all Jay-Z haters.... eat a dick....lol....
