  • A very sad period during our musical history. Disco sucked then and it sucks now!

  • @MrBSylvester CORRECTION. 2000's a very sad period during our musical history. RAP sucked when it was invented by Ghetto Destructionists, IT SUCKS NOW, AND IT WILL SUCK FOR ETERNITY!!!!!!!!!!

  • She is like a white Grace Jones, lol

  • White woman with black voice... where is the time... was then 18 year and dance me crazy on this song!

  • it's probably good that disco is dead.

  • ACTION!

  • Good Lesbian love song!!! Go ahead Alicia.

  • AX-SHION!

  • Akk-shon, on the Disco Ahh-Haa, yeah !

  • I had the same Jimmiekaggs. i was just about to write that before i saw your post.

  • I had the honor of meeting Alicia in the early 90's at the Cove in Atlanta. She wasn't performing but just meeting people. She was extremely nice. I wish I had drank fewer cocktails that night so I could remember more of our meeting.

  • HINO CLÁSSICO!!

  • omg she's white? go whitey u got soul!!

  • @MsHotnurse Same reaction I had, I grew up in the 70's/80's and only ever heard this song on the radio.

  • aLWAYS LOVED HER HAIR! AND FACIAL EXPRESSIONS!!! I miss this time :(

  • Isn't that the lady from the "STOP THE INSANITY" commercials? Lol.

  • @mrshinyshoes No, Susan Powter wrote that book for cancer

  • @dirths LOL. I was just joking! Alicia does look like Susan Powter with the platinum short hairdo, however.

  • @mrshinyshoes I know you were just joking, she does look like her here!

  • who needs sci fi?

  • THIS IS HOW I AM FEELING TONIGHT! TOO BAD IT'S THUR.... GUESS I SHOULD GO TO SLEEP

  • Oh fuck yeah!

  • que recuerdos de mi niñes que rica musica

  • I LOVE THIS SONG AND SHE SURE COULD BELT OUT A GREAT SONG!

    THUMBS UP.

  • what a cheap video. LOL.

  • @JhonathanFree Of course it's cheap. The song came out in 1978, and a lot of the videos that were made around that period looked cheap.

  • @bluebear1985 True, but this is exceptionally cheap. Thanks for your input though.

  • A few years ago, Steve "Silk" Hurley remixed this song with a more contemporary one on the Tom Joyner Morning Show for the "Old-Skool/New-Skool Remix" (I don't remember the song it was mixed with) and it was totally hot! I wish I could find that mix!

  • Good Halloween Dance song!

It always reminds me of the George Hamilton movie, "Love at first bite."

  • @BWKAPPA yup..sure does! Forgot all about that movie..Susan St James and George Hamilton..

  • Alicia hit #5 in Billboard, 12-23-78. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • back when pop (as in popular) music were good. i hate to sound like a cynic, but really.. i love electronic music, but that awful crossover between electro house and talentless singers has just been poluting the airwaves way too long. not to mention the "r'n'b" they play on the radio

  • A real C.. C.. C.. C.. C.. C ... lassic..

  • made in the seventies but an awesome song n im like almst 2 decades younger than this song

  • Love it! There's nothing quite like being in a seedy old gay bar with a glass of Budwieser and a cigarette listening to this song. Brings back memories. Sing it sista!

  • YO TAMBIEN AMO LA VIDA DE NOCHE ALICIA!! ♥♥ JEJE

  • They play this in Geriatrics wards in Hospitals and in rest homes to get the old folks moving and having sex... its the song for 80 year olds and plus to get their freak on.

  • perfect for dive bar nights

  • R.I.P. Alicia Bridges

  • @iliketoedit RIP ??? Why shes still alive i chat to her nearly every day...

  • Classic.

She may be a dyke, but Alicia Bridges has got to be one of the most charming and pleasant-looking ladies I've ever seen. And kinda sexy too!

  • ALso, one of the few out lesbian disco singers.

  • Country disco, why not?

  • Seriously, I thought, she was black.

  • @pringlerock101 No, you're right...this sounded funny when I was a kid in the '70s and it still sounds funny. It's one of those songs that make you kind of shake your head and laugh. Catchy, but yeah...funny.

  • @MySpiritEdify Haha lol. Yeah, lol haha.

  • Look at 0:40 her eyebrows when she says "aaaaction" that is hilarious!!!!

  • @rudchowbell It's from Pricilla Queen of the Desert.

  • Excellent song! From late 1978 when the charts were full of disco songs, like this one, Le Freak by Chic and In The Bush by Musique.

  • love this song

  • Homer's Phobia!!!

  • Brings back memories of the simpsons when homer dances with john to this song

  • I \ve always thought she is a black singer. She got this unbelievable voice!

  • @jimmieskaggs gee thanks for the diss to white singers

  • @rudchowbell ur welcome

  • @jimmieskaggs So did I !!!

  • @jimmieskaggs She seems to have a country singer's southern drawl in it, which still makes it cool in a way.

  • @Tsuruta1 That's why she was born in Georgia. I looked up her bio online.

  • @atworkstation Didn't know that, one would think that I should've, being from Georgia myself :).

    Thanx.

  • @atworkstation I thought she was from North Carolina.

  • @crapple009 I looked it up. It is North Carolina. I apologize for the mistake.

  • @atworkstation Not at all..they're both southern states, after all :-)

  • @jimmieskaggs i know.... acttttiooooonnnnnn...

  • I bet Madonna got her first video idea here for Everybody here. :)

I want some action...like we had back in the day.. a time of some of the best music that ever was and ever will be!!!! Those were the days!!!!

Great memories, music, people, and the BEST of the BEST of times!! Peace!

Thank you @AlexisItalia for an awesome upload!!!!

  • does alicia bridges have a liquor license?

  • Oh disco, how short of a fad you really were.

  • @imunchbutts Short fad? Here it is over 30 years later and more than 36,000 people are still looking up Alicia Bridge's "I Love the Nightlife" That's quite a "fad"....

  • @mrob75 Yeah, because 36,000 views in 2 years proves disco is still alive and bumping. Considering we have 300,000,000 people in the US alone means the majority of people still listen to disco.

  • @imunchbutts Disco was and has always been way more popular in Europe than in the States. In fact, discos over here are mainly for teenagers 16+ years old. In the States, they were for the 21+ set. Today's disco is more of a techno-crossover.

  • @crapple009 europe never experienced the disco backlash, the USA did

  • @discovery781 So true, so true.

  • Comment removed

  • When did Gary Glitter bleach his hair?

  • i jus realize that this same video was on the bee gees night fever video.

  • Alicia Bridges is actualy a Hermaferdite who recently requested to have his/her penis amputated and donated to Jeffrey Dahmers brother who is starving froom hunger.

  • I wish she wasn't gay cause now I can't hit on her!lol I enjoy a song well done, however. I guess scary looking is sexy to some or Elvira, Queen of Darkness, and B movie hostess wouldn't have such a cult following.

  • @vdwest4592 You would fuck a pregnant pig analy if you felt horny enough you gap toothed, weasel squeezing, pock faced ,pussy wart. Now go jerk off to some more R rated Youtube before your mother comes home and catches you.

  • I know you're too sexy for New York and Japan. Here are new choices for you to rampage wonderfully: indulgence in Singapore, happenin in Makati, hangout in Munt

  • She kind of looks kinda like the disco version of June Cleaver .

  • 1:28 = I know what your game is, pal.

  • Ah--memories . . . Time to dust-off my polyester leisure suit!

  • "I love the night life, I like to BOOgie." - Wayne Campbell (Wayne's World).

  • AHACKSHUN

  • Fact: Alicia Bridges was a country music DJ from Shelby,NC.

  • i do love the night......hahahahah!

  • I believe she began the "Sexy Cougar" trend

  • her facial expressions are golden. :)

  • Good...Very Good...

  • love this song so much.....so classic 70's....thanks for posting

  • Its Billy Idol...LOL

  • c.c.c.c.club 54 was the bomb .we need a place like that agine.. whair the stars an public meet an have fun ... dont get me wrong keep the coke out lol

  • I liked her when she played Franks wife in Eastenders

  • @ballcockandfloat Agreed!!!!!!!:):):)xxxx

  • Ac Shun!

  • The song always reminds me of the George Hamilton vampire movie, "Love at first bite."

    Good Halloween party dance song.

  • @BWKAPPA It will remind me of that movie too hahahahahahahahahahah

  • I love this song!!!!! It reminds me of my best friend and I hanging out late at night!!!!!

  • Hay Soy TaN Retro y Me Encanta Ja Ja Ja XD FANTASTIC

  • Please don't talk about being queer as a 3 dollar bill. ha,h,ha,ha,,ah,ha,ha,,ah,ha,hahah,ah,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,hah,a,h,ha Eat cunt and sing about it.....

  • Oddly enough, the beginning of this video uses the exact same stock footage of the Las Vegas Strip and old Downtown Vegas as the the video for the Bee Gees hit "Night Fever"

Co-incidence or was it produced by the same person? It's anybody's guess.

  • she looks like someone's grandma wearing gold lame'... one of those grandmas that smokes 4 packs a day with a raspy voice.

  • @cnomad like those grammas who would likelly ride a harley davidson with the cigar in her mouth xD

  • the autum of 1978 this song was out where did the good times go

  • More good times

  • I thought she was soul black singer but she got a nice voice gives me back to the disco days.I just wanna dance i feel happy reminiscin listening to this music it was played so often in Radio.

  • do u think she partied in studio 54???

  • She's looks like a white Grace Jones!

  • @ikgrande so true

  • @ikgrande SHE REALLY DOES

  • @ikgrande Or even Billy Idol ! Anyway, Grace Jones looks like a man and Billy Idol like a woman, so ...

I don't like the night life but I like this song and the woman that was singing the song ! I'm only sorry that it was her only success song !

    Have a nice day !

  • @ikgrande that would be the other way round... Grace Jones looks like a black Alicia Bridges :)

  • What I have always enjoyed about hearing songs on the radio is I didn't have to see the Artists. I prefer to listen to his outstanding song without looking at Alicia. She looks very scary.

  • @sugarshula64 LOL I agree It's good to know I'm not the only one who thinks that LOL>

  • Nothing hurts w/ this song when flying into combat, strap & eyes w/ M240G. Thanks Alicia for comfort, into combat drops.

  • when i was little i always here this song at the radio...hehe

    and after many years......

    it's still the same........

this song never leave the radio sations hehehehehe

  • yea if i was 2 years old (1996) i had a scary dream of her she looked scary with her eyes ^^

  • I always thought this was an interesting song, sort of country disco.

  • Great stuff! Thanks for posting . . . best sax solo ever :)

  • Ahoy, '09, Mates and Pirates, Just plain fun to listen ,eh? I was born the year the war ended.:) '45,,,,,First, of four.OneFineDockRocker in good standing w/ the MdDS Support Site, more like family.

  • awesome song

  • I love Alicia and the nightlife as well.

  • Those wonderful days of one phone company and planes that did not slam into buildings? Never thought I would long for that time again.

  • Very cool video but, she looks kinda scary! Overall, awsome video! :)

  • Indeed I did know this lady personally for a short season and she was funny, witty and a great listener when you had a problem.I haven't seen her now in years, but remember she was something else.

  • How old is she?

  • Alicia believe it or not lived in Atlanta in 1988,ten years after this video and worked the counter of an "adult" gift shop called the "Poster Hut" . I thought I Recognized her, but when I heard a co worker call her a Alicia I just came right out and ask her and she started singing some of this song. It was definitely her .We actually got to be pretty good friends that Summer. She's gay,and told me she was born in 1949; that makes her "59" now.We fell out of touch after she went back to LA.
