This song was by far the most epic sounding opening theme ever
Magic of Scheherazade was the very first RPG i ever played...pitty they never did a sequel or even ported it to a new system...the entire soundtrack was epic...every track an instant fave.
Kudos on upgrading this classic tune...you did an amazing job.
@Hippiemouse1 I think Magic of Scheherazade should be remade for a modern platform, at least for PSP or maybe an HD console in HD2D. I am considering to upgrade the overworld theme. I think the entire soundtrack should be upgraded in an orchestrral arrangement. I never played the game before uploading this. The Magic of Scheherazade first came out in December 1989. It is not yet released to the Virtual Console.
Totally agree...it is definitly a game that deserved a revamping...hell...they did it with A Boy and his Blob and Blaster Master...why not Scheherazade
@theoneandonlyotaku Yes, I agree with you. I certainly believe that the game should be remade. It would be most likely remade for PSP, which is the most wanted platform for remakes. I would prefer it to be remade in HD for PS3, which is the second most wanted platform for remakes. I never played the game prior to uploading this, but I love the song. The remake will use the traditional save mechanisms, instead of passwords as in the original game.
Now this is a good song, usually when I play this game I do the opening prelude a few times, simply because I love this music. It's got the right combination of tunes to make a truly regal and epic masterpiece.
@luminozero I rendered the MIDI of the song several times in different versions. I also have posted a redux version of this rendition. Now, I am attempting to sequence the overworld theme of the game to MIDI. This is one of the greatest video game music tracks of the NES era.

@Fourforce I actually did two remixes of this song. The later of the two is a redux, thus a more pronounced symphonic remix.

o.o Wow. I can't believe how GOOD this sounds. Having played the original game, I can tell you that it's WORTHY of a remake.
