Outlawing Lobbyist would only solve a small portion of the corruption in Washington D.C. We need many other reforms such as getting rid of the I.R.S. which isn't Constitutional. I want to see models of black leadership elevated by do things that encourage growth in the black community and humanity in general, not being discredited for actions planned in advance by vested interests. Right now, I don't see a lot of hope in this regard coming from the federal government, nor do I think that it should. Outlawing Lobbyist would only solve a small portion of the corruption in Washington D.C. We need many other reforms such as getting rid of the I.R.S. which isn't Constitutional. We could use a flat consumption tax that would be much easier and fairer than the current system. McCain was hit with a double whammy when Wall Street collapsed and shortly thereafter the Palin/Couric interview hit the airwaves. Those two events crippled his campaign and I believe that he was just going through the motions after that. I think McCain honestly believed that selecting Palin was a boon to his campaign at the time, and that it would help him garner female voters. Palin was initially well received by GOP supporters. and McCain did get a bump in the polls. He was leading Obama shortly after the RNC. Then the recession hit, then Palin made a fool of herself, and McCain's campaign went bust. I really hope you're wrong. I want to see models of black leadership elevated by do things that encourage growth in the black community and humanity in general, not being discredited for actions planned in advance by vested interests. Right now, I don't see a lot of hope in this regard coming from the federal government, nor do I think that it should. Instead, the liberty movement needs to first and foremost focus on state and local government.

I think that every president of the US has people wanting to kill them. It doesn't matter who gets elected there will be some group or organisation that wants to kill whoever is in charge.
The president is not totally a puppet, he has the codes to launch nukes and if some country attacks the US first then it doesn't matter who thinks they control him, he will chose to launch the nukes and wipe millions of people out, maybe everyone.
The President is controlled by congress as well.

@diah4: Im white british and grew up in an area where there were lots of blacks, and all kinds of immigrants flooded the area. Firstly i would say that MY life was endagered many times, by blacks, who seemed to HATE all things white. there was NO mixing wiht them, and they constantly spoke of "the day". However, they weren't and still arent given much reason to change their hatred. Police DO attack and lie blacks into prison, and thats intollerable - about 70% of prisoners are black.
