  • 2.5k a year and you get 1 of these compared to 2 trillion on psychiatry for making zombies and frankenstiens, it makes you wonder.

  • If you want to look at modern effeciency, just look at psychiatry over 2 trillion a year and 0 cures. No wonder America is in deep shite and an economic recession. This situation might be a good time to scrap some drain industries like psychiatry, whose only scientific achievements of note is turning living humans into zombies and frankenstiens, which I don't honestly hold as an achievement.

  • Oh how terrifying...a robot dog coming straight towards me at a mile per hour...let me slowly just run out of its way to barely dodge it -__-.

  • WE HAVE ANGERED THE BULL!

  • Useless.

  • made in conjunction with nasa and the harvard university. 20 years of solid research and 50,000 dollars

damn the american robotics system is efficient as hell

  • they should actually do this instead of bull fighting...once theyre faster that is

  • if i was a taliban and i saw that coming at me, i would surrender in .0002 seconds

  • @JndBStudios Unfortunately the Taliban, are not as stupid as you are. It doesn't take a genius, to realize you can shoot its legs off with an AKA-47, which every Taliban member has.

  • Beginning of the end...

  • Further evidence that scientists do whatever the fuck they want

  • Bigdog is so tough, he couldn't kill himself.

  • looks like a dancing horse to me

  • Your just witnessing the prelude to a future of what we will see regularly, and it wont be some innocent entertainment.

  • @TheCerebralCataclysm, I agree..

  • Lol great to see guys like this fucking about

  • heh heh.... weaponized lol

  • Make room for the Big dawg

  • cant wait till we start making Beauty & Beast Units. :)

  • @ryith amen!!!

  • shit just got real

  • Good to see our tax money go to good use.

  • GEKKO!!

  • Beer inspired...

  • @halcyon0830

No, it's a new way to conduct search and rescue in earthquake zones.

  • This is a Nightmare for ALL of Humanity.

This is a Dream for the Disgusting Military Industrial Genocidal Complex.

  • @halcyon0830 i agree.... Metal Gear Solid shit...

  • Did anyone else laugh their asses off at this? xD

  • Big Dog looks so funny, regardless of whether it has giant horns or not

  • now we don't need to kill bulls in toradas.i think a big dog would be way more chalenging

  • That's a bunch of bull!

  • No slow-motion kick? :O

  • LOL I can't stop laughing at those continuous steps. This is awesome.

    Passinho double rlz

  • this is cool as fuck

  • needs a saddle.

  • Can't wait to get this for my next 3 killstreak in CoD

  • Well at least we now know which end is the front. ;)

And it's pretty cool that you guys at BD know how to have fun with your creations.

  • NO! why does everything have to used to kill!, actually this probably would make bull fights and mechanical bull rides more interesting.

  • "gotta pee, gotta pee, gotta pee..."

  • Send in space, search intelligent life, charge at them.

  • Derp.

  • well at least now it doesnt look so creepy.

  • I think big dog needs a remotely operated M249 machine gun with 400 round boxed belt on a 360 degree turret mounted in the center of the chassis. Infrared and thermal imaging as well. The real trick would be to stabalize the weapon, this robot bounces around when it walks but I'm sure it could be done. They probably need to up-armor that thing. Imagine a dozen or so of these for base perimeter defense, with recharge stations that they could dock to.

  • make robot corrida

    @

    get viral

  • IT BEGIIIIIIINS

  • OMG! Soooo cruel! Stop Robofights!!!!

  • @Malvinman13

It was either this or boredom...

    You choose.

  • in the future witch is now they dont have to kill live bulls anymore no more blood

  • AT-AT prototype spotted

  • I'd fuck it.

  • @BBnanner LMAO

  • @BBnanner Obviously you are single.

  • It takes alot of power to the "dog"..., why you always hear that damn engine whiningI dont see that as useful in space really..batterys would just ruin its payload...

  • 0:15 oohh it has to go pee!

  • New way to pratice rodeo!!!

  • I foresee a great future in which cowboys come back, and herd thousands of cattle-bots to the scrap yard, forging across great distances and having to protect themselves when they become sentient.

  • sell these to spain for their bullfights ... i'll put my money on the bull if its one of these ... or use them for the annual run with the bulls.

  • No! Set a pair of butt drills instead of horns

  • Do not fool with it! It shall learn your every weakness and all your strategies within the year! They will evolve! Skynet, stop producing the Big Dog before it is too late! :D just kidding! It's still freakin' scary though...

  • The next update should be: a hot chick with a gun inside BigDog.

  • MY GOD! LOOK OUT! IT'S ON A RAMPAGE!!!!

  • Olééééééé

  • I lol'ed.

  • it has its horns on its ass

  • pretty funny ? how you can think this stuff is funny ? the first way to produce this machine is for the WAR ! When the machine will kill peoples, will kill civils, you will feel it funny ? POOR WORLD ! this is the begin of the end, and everybody thinks it's funny...Faggots !

  • @GraffitiSonore you had me until you said faggots

  • @takandcanon lol, sorry buddy. But this stuff is making me a bit stupid on my words ;))

  • @GraffitiSonore understandable

  • @GraffitiSonore You mad bro?

  • @SRCastellano : i think our science and military lobby are mad.

  • This is by far the coolest, weirdest thing I've ever seen.

  • just send a few of these into Afghanistan should creep them the fuck out when you've got that charging at you

  • Skynet in the making.

  • That's what I'm talking about. Drone quadruped soldiers...with horns...

  • still seems retarded

  • I'm not sure what I expected, but it wasn't that. Still pleasantly surprised, pretty funny. =)

  • BigBull

  • weaponised....i wanted to see four M2's on this bad boy, send that in2 afganistan

  • I prefer sharks with laser beams on their head.

  • lmao you guys are silly

  • creepy

  • God forbid anyone let the engineers have a little fun with the creation they've worked so hard on . . . Maybe only a fellow engineer can understand?

  • That is the only way new ideas get good funding: For the military. Investors seem to like exercise machines, toys, and bad modern art too

  • @tld5500

You forgot anything female looking. That horny men can fuck XD

  • @WildBuck007 I think that sex sells, yes, it makes men buy things. Females are the motivation for a lot of consumer advertising. But I still think that the people with money, invest in safe things, reliable, tried and true projects, nothing revolutionary, that may fail and lose money. Only people working on their spare time, with no budget, take any risks, try crazy ideas. That is why so many fail , because they need funding, but are poor salesmen, and miserable marketers, and bad businessmen:(

  • @tld5500 "lets develop a robot that can save lives, but make it for the military instead. for ammunition transport purposes"

i like japans robots more, although some of them are very disturbing too.

  • @tld5500 In modern system of economy - yes. In free market capitalism, private money is what propels the progress. James Watt, Stephenson, Edison, Wright brothers, Ford, Hughes, so many others - all the greatest innovations and their creators in the history were funded by private investors. And what did the military develop? Space rocket and atom bomb. Sooo useful stuff.... Nice job.

Let us limit the military spending and taxes - and the progress will go faster than ever.

  • This is going to be the horse of the future remember aimee on that movie red planet

  • And they say government waste money this shit is sweet. As. Hell can you imagine 20 more years of this research

  • El Engranajes en Acero

  • is so sad all they create, becomes something for the army

  • send it to Spain. Stat!

  • This could be used in space exploration

  • @Mettrone meh. robot bullfighting is better

  • @Mettrone It's far more likely to be used in the exploration of your home, than space, anytime soon.

We don't have money for NASA but we have plenty for military and police. Go figure.

  • @Mettrone

Naaah too much fuel consumption, too fast.

Yes being fast is not a good idea when you are several thousands miles away in another planet.

  • @Mettrone It is gasoline powered, right?

  • :D epic seal of approval.

  • I'll bet Darpa is drooling all over this and you guys are more than happy to play along.

  • @UTubeIsTrackingYou Duh! DARPA is funding this project. Who cares?

  • @AppletiniHoldtheTini I knew it. Um, all the humans that are going to be slaughtered by these things in the future probably care.

  • @AppletiniHoldtheTini its your money

  • Metal Gear,,,, Bull?

  • aww I thought they were gonna stick a RAIL GUN on it if yah know what I mean

  • Better than the real one.

    Regards from Spain.

  • one of these boston dynamics types must have played metal gear solid

  • fuck robots!!!!!!!!

  • fuck all you hippies!

  • Looks like it needs the loo all the time.

  • The Taliban won't know what hit them

  • Now give it heath sensors and a couple of machine guns.

  • Literally this is a weapon you could walk away from

  • @wildesentertainment This isn't a weapon, its just used to transport supplies in any terrain.

  • @cumchugger325 well when they stick horns on something i think of impaling

  • @cumchugger325

Ofcourse. But it would be a serious oversight (and highly unlikely) if no one thought of other military applications besides just the transporting of heavy or dangerous loads over variable terrain. Tactically having a mobile platform that could deploy various weapons over nearly any terrain and with no loss to human life would be priceless, and a big win for the PR of war.

So, yeah.. if its not a weapon yet, it will be.

  • That's funny :) what's not funny is that you probably could set it up to carry a M134 minigun, a M240 machine gun or even a Mk19 grenade launcher.

  • Sometimes I lay awake in bed, imagining I'm a stick of butter.

  • 123 people were gored by the weaponized Big Dog.

  • i was thinking that it really needed a saddle for soldiers to take turns riding it to rest and especially for the wounded. but a doctor loveless chair works too, oh and a beer cooler

  • Why does it constantly need to be moving it's legs like that?

Why is there's no way of throttling up and down on the gas when it's standing still?

  • @FodderBoi,

Maybe it doesn't have true static stability.

"Why does that bicycle have to keep moving so that it doesn't fall over? Can't the bike just go as slow as it likes, and still not fall over? Why does it need a minimum speed?"

  • The Japs are laughing at us. They are light years ahead of us in robot walking tech

  • @WLKCONSULTING Most if not all of their bipedal robots can't even handle uneven terrain, and the way that Asimo fell on it's mechanical ass dozens of times has proved that. Besides, Petman is the only bipedal out there that is close to human like gait than any humanoid Japan has ever created. Plus they have nothing to compete with Bigdog, hell even Littledog in the quadruped category. So for you to sit there and type that they're light years ahead of us only proves how ill-informed you are.

  • Damn, what happened to Bevo?

  • You guys sure know how to spend grant money <3

  • 123 people got gored at the running of the bigdogs.

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4: Go Home and Let Big Dog Do All the Work.

    $60

  • Terrorists beware

  • we're doomed.

  • Nawwww, who's a good boy??

  • Olé!

  • SPANISH YEAH!!!!!!!!

  • its not quite like the dog robots in masseffect 2 but its still awesome

  • i was expecting a assault rifle or at least some pistols on that robot

  • Attack it's weak point for massive damage.

  • oh isn't this funny and cute. just wait till they mount machine guns on it and go after the american public.

  • @hurricaneomega did you get that idea from the overwhelming urge to ride it?

  • How bout a biped next?

  • @phiberoptick Bipedal robots are really iffy at the moment :P

  • The deal is riding on top of this thing and never fall to the ground.

  • I would die of laughter before this thing ever got a chance to kill me.

  • Oh I get it, the horns are weapons. Cute.

Thanks Boston Dynamics for letting us know how paranoid a notion it is that machines such as Big Dog will be weaponized in the future.

Because no organization would ever do such a thing, would they. How could anyone entertain such an absurd conspiracy theory?

I have no doubt systems like big dog will only be used in the future to carry old lady's groceries, and roam about vending Girl Scout cookies.

  • but will it blend ?

  • @edustaja2 Aahahaha. Ahhaha. Haha. Thanks for that.

  • @edustaja2 How is that funny?

  • olé

  • Battle los angeles?

  • it looks retarded

  • I WANNA RIDE THAT BITCH

  • Robots r going to humans don't u pep see that all that stuff will be junk

  • Ramming speed!

  • and the purpose of this wassss!!!!?????

  • @AlternativeTaco You need to play with your robots from time to time to ensure there loyalty. Give them cookies, hugs, dress them up like they are cows, you know like a dog.

  • lol toro toro!

  • I was afraid it was serious.

  • Metal Gear, Assassin's Creed 2, Big Dog is introducing to the people from diferent ways.

But duality reminds us that everything is good and bad at the same time. Despit
