  • I have nothing but love for this band . . .

  • 1:57 is that Lamp's biggest fan? I remember when he used to DJ in the old Green Dragon, nice fella too.

  • I knew the band like 10 years ago, in a brit pop CD , the song was love it bleeds, i loved that song, i cant find it anywhere on internet.

BBM are a great band. unique.

  • I had never heard of this band, but by chance I saw them on Russian MTV of all places - a song called, I think, I CAN'T GIVE YOU ANYTHING. I was completely blown away. There were so many groups that tried to copy Blondie, but this seemed the real thing; their true successors without coping anything. Elizabeth looked so great and the music was so original and strong. I cannot understand how this band has not gone on to be as good as Blondie. After catching that clip, I looked for them everywhere.

  • Thanks for this, this is a very nicely done little video. I saw Bang Bang Machine at Gassy Jacks in Cardiff and snagged both the albums they were selling there, but this song was on nether of them. The two albums were Amphibian and Eternal Happiness so I guess I still have stuff to track down.

    Thanks.

  • Smithdream, you're the man - or the woman. Really beautiful, evocative film...and Geek Love is of course one of the most incredible pieces of music of all time.

  • Not sure how different the original GEEK LOVE and the SPANGLE GEEK LOVE mix are?

I'd love to see the original GEEK LOVE E.P. released on CD.

The Mixmaster Morris remix is fantastic.

  • lol, theres a kick ass book called geek love

  • Yes this song is based on it.

  • lol, omg, no idea! something new everyday.....

  • Some of the lyrics come from the book.

The characters from the book are in the song.

I'm a big fan of the GEEK LOVE book too.

  • well im thick as a whale omelette.....

  • because it was the press at the time. I think it come out on picture disc didn't it

  • The music press were all over BBM at first, then they didn't seem to get much coverage?

Yes Amphibian was released as a 12 inch picture disc as well.

  • How do you know they only sold 500 copies of AMPHIBIAN in Japan?

I'm amazed any BBM CDs were shipped over there!

  • AGREE WITH EVERY SINGLE WORD OF THIS

  • I think I've got the word thing on tape somewhere. Lamp trashes his kit cos the cameramen kept treading on Steves Pedals. Lol! They were a great, great band.

  • Has anyone got the very rare footage of the band playing `Technologica` live on THE WORD ? I seem to remember Liz in a wedding dress. By the way Stan and Liz have just had a baby!!

  • I watched and taped BANG BANG MACHINE playing TECHNOLOGICA live on THE WORD.

Can't find it on any of my old VHSs though.

    Someone will have it somewhere.

Looking for any radio, newspaper, magazine and TV BBM did.

  • Steve Eagles still plays the guitar in BLURT, another massively underrated band around the phenomanal Ted Milton. Blurt have a gig in London on the 8th of june.

  • I used a BLURT track as a soundtrack to my short experimental film FEAR IS A FUNNY THING.

It was Ted Milton who got me in touch with Steve Eagles.

  • I think Steve is still in Evesham. Lamp Lives just Outside Brighton with his Girlfriend DJ'ing and he qualified as a sound Engineer. Stan and Liz are still a Couple I believe, Stan is playing Bass for a reformed version of his first band Wrathchild ( now called Psycho Wrath ). This track still sends shivers down my spine, an Immense and beautiful track.

  • excellent. thanks for posting. saw the band a few times excellent live act.

  • That was so cool seeing that. I never saw them live but I own an album and a CD. Thanks for taking the time and effort to put that together. x

  • Thanks a lot.

    I LOVE BANG BANG MACHINE!

Nice to get some positive feedback.

Saw you are also a Julian Cope fan.

There is a GEEK LOVE review on his website under unsung.

  • I was at the Water Rats gig as well. It was Lamps birthday.

  • chop inshuey!!!

  • Saw them at The Underworld and Water Rats. They were our soundtrack to Glastonbury 1994. Good times.

  • What a GREAT BAND! I love them very much.

    Please, BACK!

And this incredible track 15 YAERS AGO.

    Timeless clssics.

    Thank you and good luck

  • Thank you very much.

Great to see BANG BANG MACHINE being loved in POLAND!

    GEEK LOVE is a classic.

  • Thanks, I like your video. I think I only met the band once before the shoot and once again after, so they've always been a complete mystery to me. I haven't even heard any of their other records. Really should do something about that seeing as Geek Love is a such a wonderful track.

  • Cool Video!! If more fans did stuff like this...who knows it may prompt a revival?
