  • Very Lovely... yessir! Well done mister man!

  • once again, you came through with something great

  • it has been a long time since any 57 chev was 1000 bucks

  • @MrNitro65 That was big money back in the day...

  • Awesome story telling. I subscribed.

Wish you had an HD camera with a decent mic.... you might not think it makes a difference, but it does :)

  • @6663000 I made this quite a while ago. I've been through a few cameras since then, and I've got a better version of this poem up now. Still looking for a better-er camera.. hahaha.

  • mmm. things suck right now. my brakes went out in my skylark and i T-boned a Van at 55 miles per hour. My car got totalled. the van was wrecked so badly, it nearly split in two. after the wreck the van was only held together by dented sheet metal... i only have liability insurance. see, i could buy another skylark of the same year for 2 grand. but im gonna fix mine. they only made so many.

  • @adfasdfasdfluy Yep.. What year's the skylark?

  • @rpeek 72. i fell in love with BOP A bodies when i was little. my grandpa has a lemans of the same year. thats one of the reasons why i picked it.

  • @adfasdfasdfluy It's a good car. Hope you get yours back to the way you want it..

  • and I thought you were about to say black Peterbilt... er, Petercar.

missing a gear on an old twin-stick=sure death!

  • Excellent! What a great story, and what a great storyteller! Favorited!

  • God bless you man.

  • You rule sir.

  • days of graduation - the drive by truckers

gotta love car stories, good or bad, makes me kind of sad to feel that i missed those days, i feel like i grew up in the wrong era

  • I bet. I know I grew up in the right era. I don't think the world's going to get right till they start puttin' fins on cars again... haha

  • some tale

  • Good story. Hopefully Darrell was okay. Sad to see the loss of a classic muscle car though.

  • Unfortunately Darrell didn't make it..

  • I'm sorry to hear that. Still, you gave an amzing retelling of what happened.

  • Great. American.

  • Great story, love your videos specially on the rod. Just the way i feel everyone's always oh no the poor boy! and I'm weeping for the chevy.

  • Yea, that Chevy was a beautiful thing.. Darrell was okay too..

  • I don't know how many times I've watched this. Awesome story! I also like the video "Hot Rodding is Dead" by Eric Darby.

  • Thanks. One of these days when I get the time and inclination, I'm going to do some more story tellin' on youtube..

  • Fantasticcc story-teller!!!

  • love the story, would like to see you do the one about Grandaddy... the peanut farmer going off to war. Love you dad.

  • Is that the one where lightening struck the chimney on the house they had their 3 day honeymoon in before he went off to serve for 4 years in the war?

  • yes

  • I really enjoyed your story. Nice twist at the end. I wish people nowadays had stories with real meaning to tell. Keep those video's a-comin'.

  • I am so glad you built that sound stage in your barn. This particular light's been under a bushel too long.
