  • Now this is coming from a person who believes in "God"..

Always back to the abuse of the mind.. However, for all you who don't get what he's really trying to say. I'll try to Elaborate..

    Elaboration: OOK, OOK, UG, GROWL..

    Got it...

  • Life has no meaning for me? The light and love in my children's eyes. The beauty of a sunset as the sun's light refracts in a display of multicolored light. The day my wife accepted my hand. The pride and love I felt for my sisters when they were married and when they had their children. This is the only life I get. That gives it a huge amount of meaning. How does your life have meaning if it's just a test til you go to heaven. That makes life utterly meaningless if it were true.

  • if no atheists existed,we'd still be using candles

  • I think atheists have more meaning to our lives then theist. They think they were made to serve a god with no evidence or proof and if you don't you go to hell. Yet atheists think we have this one life to live for so instead of waiting for death we look forward for today and reflect on yesterday.

  • Love it! Dawkins speech was epic!

  • if it's my time after i finish this cup of coffee, at least i have lived a full life. for that, i am content. i have memories to share, and experiences to speak of. i have seen what i've always wanted to. i've understood beauty and sorrow. i've seen survival and triumph. i've buried a friend, and seen a birth. life, that is what i celebrate.

  • id celebrate if bberchin would go fuck himself

  • In a way, aren't we the universe's attempt at understanding itself?

  • Question is, why should christians and the like celebrate? Half of your holidays are remnants of pagan rituals not originally connected to your religion anyways. Me personally, i celebrate the kinship i feel to my fellow man and love for my family. I have no need for false gods.

  • Beautiful, " have you heard this?"

  • theists a simple minded troglodytes

  • I happen to LOVE Thanksgiving.

But that's mainly because of the food and the comfy-cozy feeling.

  • The words of bberchin at the beginning of this video are representative of the SICKNESS that has been spread by christian dogma. To him, there really is nothing meaningful to be found apart from his psychologically manifested god. He hasn't the eyes for true rarity and wonder. And here, he tries to assert -- to SPREAD -- that meaninglessness to others. He wants to wipe our meaning away and replace it with a demented construct. Religions are the true NIHILISM of today.

  • i love you people so ignorant XD

  • "My ancestors were supernovae."

    -Uncle Matt

  • lol, haters gonna hate, precisely because we're atheists we celebrate EVERYTHING.

  • Sorry, but I don't have enough faith to be an atheist. It is far easier to believe in the spaghetti monster, the tooth fairy, santa claus and every other superstition known to humanity, than to believe the universe magically appeared all by itself. DeGrasse Tyson needs to go back to elementary school and start over.

  • @richardaberdeen All I will say, is there is a reason, "ignorance is bliss," has become a popular saying. Oh wait.. after re-reading your comment, I get a hint of sarcasm. Disregard.

  • @richardaberdeen you're right it's so much easier to believe in magic than to try and figure out why we exist.

  • Oh we got a badass over here.

  • Anyone know where I can find the video of Richard Dawkins?

  • Look at the eyes of that guy. "Life has no meaning". You can see the hate and disgust in his eyes. Yikes.

  • I have read the bible. I have read it through. All the way. To me, there's nothing in there for me, besides a loose set of morals that people preach but never follow, and a command to unquestionably believe and prophesize in a higher power that we say made us in his image, but we probably made him in our own image. Oh, and some stuff about stoning women who have sex, and one line - ONE LINE about gay men. A book written with good intentions, and used for evil.

  • To say that we Atheists have nothing to celebrate and that our lives has no meaning is about as ignorant as can get. We can have children and family like anyone else. Cherish and love them like anyone religious person can, doesn't that give life meaning? Doesn't this give us something to celebrate? I think so. I won't celebrate that we originated from the stars, why would I care, I'd celebrate that my wife has a birthday, give birth, get's a promotion, our life is beautiful, even without god!

  • Ah, this is making me so happy right now :)

  • Great video.

Seriously feel sorry for close minded bible thumpers. You cant help but feel sorry for them..most of then wouldnt be in religion if a)their parents werent that religion b)their life was complete shit and think god can help them.Look at prison lol, most of those peeps are now born religious lol.

    Oh well

  • I don't need to join a giant dumb cult to appreciate life.

  • and pwned.

  • christmas is a roman holiday that celebrates the new year. Atheist can celebrate this because it has nothing to do with god.

  • @habadashery2009 christmas is an old pagan holiday adopted by early christians in order to make it easier for peoples of other religions to convert. it has nothing to do with anything remotely christian and infact if you do look at anything the bible says AND you take the birth of jesus literal he would have had to have been born sometime in spring.

  • we celebrate life every single day

  • Videos like this make me wish I could double-like some videos. Simply awesome. Watched it many times. :)

  • I don't get how this video has so many likes.

  • @XieWatchful Someone here is a christian.

  • @XieWatchful Thats okay, as your best sticking to playing pc games instead of educating yourself

  • WOW DUST that sounds familiar. By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:19 come on people its not hard read the Bible

  • @jamesbamaboi Proof, right there everybody. This guy's right. Look at his credentials

  • @jamesbamaboi

Dust on earth is not the dust he is referring to from the stars. He is using a metaphor. Just like the entire bible is. A big metaphor. Not to be taken literally. Or else you say stupid shit like what you just said.

  • @Kindred1a1 He is not saying it like a metaphor if you look at some of his other videos he says the universe is in us and a part of us. And how can you judge something you dont understand?

  • @jamesbamaboi

See this is the problem. You take things literally. When he says the universe is in us, it is OBVIOUSLY a metaphor. The universe can't fit in us. What he is saying is that atoms and molecules that were part of a star's death are located in us just as much as they are in a tiger. That's because most atoms on the periodic table are located in molecules and both are found everywhere in nature and in the cosmos.

  • @Kindred1a1 dude he said " that the molecules in his body are traceable in the cosmos" then he said in you took all the iron on the people in new york city you can recover that much from you blood and the meteorite it has common origin so what are you talking about listen from 1.34 and he didnt say that the universe fits in us so i think you are missing what he is trying to say because you just dont want to agree with the Bible

  • @jamesbamaboi "the universe is in us" You said that. I was responding to you.

Yes he said that the molecules are traceable in the cosmos which is exactly what I was saying in my previous post....I think you are trying to distort what he is saying in order to fit your biblical view point. I've taken a lot of courses on astrophysics, Im pretty sure I have a more clear grasp of what he's saying since I didnt run to quote a verse from the bible to try to make sense of it all.....

  • @Kindred1a1 on my first comment when you said something to me I didnt I said on the second comment when you said I took it as a methopher that on another video he said that. So please read what i am saying. And how do you know what you are being taught is right? if you where taught rape was good or 4+4 is 10 would you be right?

  • @jamesbamaboi

When he says the universe is in us, he is not speaking literally. He is saying it as a metaphor which is what Im telling you

And about the "how do I know im being taught the right things" .... you dont go to school do you? or you're 13 years old? or you have a neurological deficiency?

  • @Kindred1a1 so basically you believe that humans are perfect and everything you learn in school is right? And I guess they didnt teach it like that in your school so you dont agree with it right cause it seems like you are the only one that feels this way about this video. The guy even talked about taking the iron out your blood and it is the same iron in the meteorite and it is a metaphor to you smh.

  • @jamesbamaboi Never said humans are perfect...Yea I'm sorry but in my molecular genetics class, the teacher didnt refer genesis. I suppose i should take your stance then, "I cant know if they are teaching me right therefore I wont go to school" Nice reasoning. Any competent teacher would tell you when something is still debated. Basic concepts arent debated anymore because they're basic. the iron element is located everywhere. Take enough lemurs & u get the same thing

  • @Kindred1a1 so that means what is said in Genesis to be false? And im not saying that all im saying is dont believe everything you hear that sounds reasonable dont it? Like an example did Christopher Columbus discover America. "NO" And yeah its not debated no more because the system is corrupt. What you think the devil going to tell his people they are wrong?

  • @jamesbamaboi

Wow seriously you can't believe what you are saying. Fuck me what a close minded way of thought.

I suggest you take some science classes. I'd like to see you go through a biochemistry class or a neuropsychopharmacology class. What I believe are theories that are backed by a lot of falsifiable evidence, axioms that have been proven for hundreds of years. Your faith is in a book, you dont actually have proof, you have a 2000 year old book.

  • @Kindred1a1 Cool and i suggest you pray and ask God if he's real, and stop listening to other people trying to get you to believe what they believe.

  • @jamesbamaboi

So any1 that doesnt believe the world is the same as you see it, they are wrong? I was a theist before(Muslim) so by your definition, was I also wrong? FYI Studies(Yale university; Dr. Bloom) show that this is how a 4 yr old thinks

Heres a free neuro lesson: The brain is lazy. It wants to use the least amount of resources. Thats one of the reasons why stereotypes form(Heuristics) & a belief in a deity also. Because it doesnt use too many resources to say "God did it"

  • @Kindred1a1 Yes muslims are wrong and I can tell you why by using the quran, if you want to know write me in my message. And see brother I understand why you haven't experience God yet, so thats why you don't believe. If you trust me like you do the scientist by the power of God I could show you the right way. And muslims and christians are very different

  • @jamesbamaboi

Nobody is right, you're both wrong. The trust I have in science is because I know the hard work that goes in it, its falsifiability, its method, its universal reproducibility. What you have is faith and thats not proof. You WILL interpret the Koran to serve YOUR faith which is why Im not interested in your rendition. Have you not paid attention to my small neurolesson?

  • @Kindred1a1 ok it seems like you don't want to know the truth thats why you are an atheists now. You where in a false religion and God couldn't reveal himself because you was worshipping him, you were worshipping the devil. Have you read the Quran? im just saying.

  • @jamesbamaboi

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

So you want to take one ±2000 yr old book & compare & contrast with another ±1300 yr old book in the hopes of proving yours is more right.

You are the reason civilization is declining.

You are the reason civilization is declining.

  • @Kindred1a1 how is that im not killing no one in the Bible it says love your neighbor but in the Quran it says if the person is not your religion kill them. And the population is declining because people dont want to here the truth, they want to live life without punishment for what they are doing so thats why they dont want to believe in God. And you know it, so stop trying to act like the evidence you have is so great, because if it was they would say God doesnt exist.

  • @jamesbamaboi

No that's not true. No matter how great the evidence, the brain is lazy. Refer to my previous post for this. An idea that's been indoctrinated in you since you were a child is practically impossible to take out no matter the evidence mainly because you dont want it out. And you are wrong about what the Koran says, you dont seem to understand what an infidel is. You most probably believe that Osama bin laden is muslim too. Go back to school, urgently.

  • @Kindred1a1 How is the brain lazy the brain control the whole body? And no im not wrong about what the koran says to you need me to give you the verse? And i didn't care what Osama was so why does that matter? But i know most people in the middle east are forced to become muslims or they die. Because it also says in their if someone changes religion kill them. "Im just saying"

  • @jamesbamaboi

Ur ignorant on a scientific & theological level that isnt Christianity. Interpretation is dangerous & u just sound like a total retard at the end of it. About the brain being lazy...The brain has limited amounts of resources. It will choose the pathway of least resistance & saying "God did it" is much simpler than having to study about the pontomesencephalotegmental complex...That's why stereotypes form, because theyre easy ways for the mind makes sense of the world

  • @Kindred1a1 How can you experience God if you wasnt worshiping him? You act like you was in the right religion and you never find God.You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 so God is saying test him or try him and you will find him.

  • @jamesbamaboi

1st, i hope the brain issue is clear.

2nd, you CANNOT say you have the right religion vs another because somewhere else, right now, somebody is telling the same thing about their religion. They're taking your bible and interpreting it THEIR way so as to prove their religion is truer than yours.

  • @Kindred1a1 1st no you really didnt, you basically are saying that we humans are stupid i guess. And i can and if you have any question about the Bible i will pray and i would give the answer to you. So it the koran do it says to seek the Lord and you will find him like it says in the Bible?

  • Comment removed

  • @jamesbamaboi i tried to find him. really hard. I never found him.

  • @Kindred1a1 I agree with everything you said but... Osama Bin Laden was of the Sunni Islam faith, otherwise known as Sunni Muslim.

    Am I missing something here?

  • @KoolA1d

He interpreted the Koran so as to pursue his own racist agenda. Kinda like saying the Westboro Bapist Church are Christians. They interpret the bible to end up with ridiculous statements like "God Hates Fags" Just like Osama came up with the ridiculous statement that Christians and Jews are infidels. Religions, fundamentally, have a good message, but ideas like that can bring people together, thereby giving evildoers a great tool of manipulation.

  • @Kindred1a1 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." Leviticus 18:22 KJV

Not much interpretation required there. Pretty clear to me what that means, really.

Religions are based on good messages that everyone already knows, then have a ton of useless and sometimes abhorrent shit added to it.

  • @killerkerara

Might be clear to you but that passage is still being debated as to how to interpret it. Regardless, some stuff can seem clear but you must look at things in context. Things applied with the way of thought of that time. The reason why we call people like Osama Bin Laden and Westboro Baptist church people extremists/fundamentalist is because they refuse to adapt to a new time. We describe them as backward thinkers.

  • @Kindred1a1 but also you can take out ideas no matter how much they were etched in your brain growing up. if you are intelligent enough and open enough.

  • @FenixLites

yea you can change your ideas. Its much harder when its an intrinsic part of your identity though. Still possible for sure.

Yes and also stereotypes form through a method called Heuristics which the mind uses to understand people and get an idea of whats going on.

  • @Kindred1a1 What makes you think he wasn't a Muslim?

  • @DantehMan Bin Laden had an agenda, he used religion to rally people against others. That doesnt mean he followed the religion. That means he interpreted it so as to reach his goals. When he says that infidels are people who arent muslims, that's indicative of a man who is not interested in his religion but rather his racist goal. example, the Westboro Baptist church people are not christian not matter how much they think they are.

  • @Kindred1a1 But he identified himself as a Sunni Muslim. NOW if you're saying he wasn't a proper Muslim by the definitions of Islam in the way that the Westboro Church supposedly isn't a Christian group because they act un-Christian, that's just your own determinations on how a Muslim or Christian should act.

  • @DantehMan

Interesting point. You can identify yourself as anything, but that view is limited by your mindset.

If I like to kill puppies, I can say I'm as Buddhist, but my actions speak louder than my words even if, in my mind, I believe I am totally B. It would be different if I say im muslim but dont fast during Ramadan. Then we can discuss how one views himself & their religion, but if I want to kill anybody that isnt like me, that makes my perception of my personal ID meaningless

  • @Kindred1a1 I wouldn't know why your self-image would be meaningless. It would just be different than others. I worry about the claim that Osama was not a Muslim but just pretending to be because it's too easy to say "oh, he just said Allah Akbar and used religion to inspire people." There's no way to disprove that claim, same as you can't disprove Evangelicals are atheists just conning the religious. We have to assume they're speaking truthfully unless they indicate otherwise.

  • @DantehMan

Im sure to him he is a 110% muslim (we cant know if hes in fact conning people) just like the westboro baptist church people. But when you parade around wanting to kill innocent people, you can call yourself what you want, truth is that you cant say you abide by a certain religious system by going completely in a 180 degree direction and interpreting it to fit your personal view.

  • @jamesbamaboi okay question according to christianity jesus is the son of god. god said if there were someone of another religion, even if were your friend or family member you should kill them, jesus said to love your enemy. who do you follow? I do find it humorous though that you think people don't believe in your religion simply because they want to be bad people. To be honest most of the bad people i met in my life were religious.

  • @FenixLites Where thats at in the Bible my friend you must been reading the muslims koran to much? And its okay to be mad because the devil has deceived you because it looks like you dont really know what you are talking about, and jut because someone is religious DOESN'T MEAN THERE ARE GOING TO HEAVEN. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21 hopefully this helps you along you way

  • @jamesbamaboi also stop being a pompous piece of shit douchebag and saying believe in god as if there were only one religion. as if you either believe in the jewdao christian god or you believe in nothing.

  • @jamesbamaboi It's embarrassing to read your posts, they are that uneducated!

  • @Krzysmalaki74 sorry that you had to read them.

  • @Kindred1a1 stereotypes form as a way of grouping the human brain is made to find patterns, it's the same reason we fall for a lot of optical illusions. human brain likes to find patterns, its how we survived, it's how we learn.

  • @jamesbamaboi so first you told him what to do then you told (concerning his beliefs) then you told him to stop listening to ppl who are trying to get them to believe what they believe... that's pretty much all i have to say about that, anyone reading these two comments will see.

  • @Kindred1a1 Well actually, NdGT said that it is quite literally true that we ARE stardust. The Universe is literally in us, because the universe is all that is (in this universe) and as a part of it, we are part of the universe itself.

  • @riselin I agree, we are star dust. I never said otherwise. I was explaining to Jamesbamaboi that the "dust" NdGT is talking about is not the dust on earth, it's atomic particles. The Universe is not in us, part of the universe is (earth is not in you; its a simplification directed at James because Im sure you know this). Iron atoms that formed in the core of a star are in us.

  • @Kindred1a1 Sorry for my confusion, now it's all clear :)

  • @Kindred1a1 We're composed from atoms forged in the middle of stars. Everything you are now and everything you've every held in your hand or experienced by your sences in any way was one time in stars. Where does the metaphor part come in ?

  • @pupeeck

Yes atoms. Not the universe. The moon is not in you literally. The same kinds of Atoms that are on the moon are in you as well. This was part of a convo with James who took it way too literally.

  • @Kindred1a1 well i think that it is supposed to be taken literally because it is literally true. I know moon is not in me, but atoms are in moon and if you imagine universe as moon and planets and stars, you might as well imagine universe as people. I don't see the difference. I think it comes down to how you define universe. I gotta say i see atoms being much closer to the definiton of universe then moon. Universe is in the moon. It is the moon.

  • @Kindred1a1 i think we can disagree on this and still be both right though. We use the word universe to describe the space around out planet basically. I think that Neil is trying to make you realize that we're also universe despite what the language might make us think. That is that we're somehow special and different. I gotta say i know about this fact a long time and it had tremendous impact on my life.

  • @pupeeck yea i agree it does depend on the definition but in the context of the convo i had with james, he was trying to connect star dust with earth dust. something like that i forgot, you can see it a few pages back

  • @jamesbamaboi in the bible they are talking about the dust of the ground not the stars ...i fail to see relevence of this piece of scripture.

  • Awesome! Unbelievably awe-inspiring.

  • im of the opinion that life doesnt give a crap whether we are here or not. it just is or it isnt. life has no meaning, we as a people give meaning to life.

  • With or without religion, good people will do good things, and bad people will do bad things. But for good people to do bad things, it takes religion.

  • i celebrate wath i want

    i have gifts for christhmas

if u believe tath u when u die will ge sent next 2 god...

    i dont give a shit

but if u say my life as no meanning then u will put no meanning tu yours

    got it?

  • This is a beautiful video, really. And I feel sorry for that bberchin asshole...why should christmas have to revolve around 'jesus'? Shame.

  • I celebrate LIFE by enjoying it. Seeing the world. Fucking girls. Drinking booze...because I have it. You fucking idiots celebrate a bunch of bullshit that isn't even true. Waste half your life praying to a sky. LOL. idiots.

  • @kavimander : You should try having relations with women, rather than girls. Having relations with children will garner you a jail-sentence.

  • @FinallyTheNight

Congrats on proving that you indeed are a nerd. Learn some slang shit head. Go to church.

  • @kavimander : You go girl!!!

  • @kavimander : Tupac! Oh yeah!!!

  • Sweet.

  • Every time I watch this video, it really moves me nearly to tears, ESPECIALLY Dawkins' bit at the beginning and Tyson's at the end.

Haters can hate, but this is more awe inspiring to me than anything I learned in my 8 years of religion classes.

  • athiests are nw referring to irons in our bodies that match the irons in the comet?? that we are virtuelly stardust??? lol from bacteria molecules to stardust particles???? lol athiests are really getting desperate.. as if to set a epic tone that we have some sort of connection lol

  • @6gunwalker not actually just atheists but astro physicists :P Think of it like this right: the same materials that exist on earth are the same energies that exist in outer space, these materials are combined in extreme temperatures to form heavier materials that at some point very small portions of them create the materials that life is partially made of. It's not really strange, rather It's just like any rock on mars would probably be very similar to any rock on earth etc.

  • @vidarmoose so your argument that random particles from random directions in extreme tempertures combined by chance or coincidance to form heavier materials create materials that partly makes life?? from a random by chance view the laws of gravity, the laws of physics (cause n effect), the laws of life n death, mathmatics, philosiphy etc all intelligent came from nothing and chance???? and randomness?? sometimes i wonder if athiests are rational and logic or random and by chance.

  • @6gunwalker It's not random at all, there's only a set amount of energies that can only combine in so many ways leaving the possibilites to be a set amount under different conditions. It sounds complex perhaps but it's definitly not random. Like in evolution nature can't create forms that aren't in balance with the other materials or with the world itself, it could only temporarily create some random mutation that would then die out, so it's regulated in a way

  • @vidarmoose what is nature??? you loosely use the term "nature cant create" as if to say that a certain force, a unforseen force may have governed the evolution process in different stages?? lol that statement merits contradiction on your behalf and an atheist point of view. why would you follow your argument of random sequences was put togethr in a orderly process by "nature" that "governs" that procss??? plz explain

  • @6gunwalker It's simply the sum of what the composition of life consists of. Which can only have so many variations due to the natural laws that they in turn are limited by. But you're right "create" was the wrong word haha. Since it's limited by such laws, it's not random but rather has to find functional compositions to advance. We can't reproduce the process but we see proof of many materials doing this on smaller levels all the time all around. I doubt that covered it but yeah

  • @6gunwalker the current accepted theories of the universe insist that the matter in the universe is constant, that it can not be destroyed nor created, that it can only change, take on new shapes and transform. the matter in our bodies has been a part of the universe for infinity, or since its "creation" (if there was such a thing). and it will continue to be a part of it, until the matter of the universe is destroyed (if that is possible at all).

  • I celebrate 4th of july

  • neil degrasse tyson IS NOT an atheist

  • @colenbrak ....So?

  • @Alphacaliber so it should be known that everything he is talking is not exclusively "celebrate[d]" by atheists.

  • @colenbrak It's also not "exclusively celebrated" by agnostics either. But what it does do is present something other than god or religion that gives life meaning.

  • @Aldridge517 woo apatheism

  • That like bar looks like a joint

  • The music is a bit loud and distracting, but brilliant speakers and clips

  • Bahahahahaha!

  • This bberchin guy is a prime example of how unchristian-like so many of these so called christians are like, who instead of harboring tolerance and understanding or promoting peace and harmony, spew anger and resentment, things that hinder any positive associations with religion.Even my dog, that unique package of star-stuff who knows nothing of god, celebrates with unbridled joy running and playing around a sunny field. You can learn more about celebration from a dog than this bberchin sourpuss.

  • much better without the gay piano music in the back

  • BIRTHDAYS \o/

  • Life has plenty of meaning to me. Not from nature itself, but I live, and I want to have a comfortable life rather than an uncomfortable one, cause it's... more comfortable. And I assume others want to have comfortable lives as well. And I know what things I don't like, and I can assert from this fact that others as well also dislike similar things (not things of taste, but pain etc.), so I try not to have this happen to others, and I bet they do that as well for me. Life is worth celebrating..

  • @SpeedFreakNO And plenty of things in life is worth celebrating. When birthdays are is good to celebrate. When winter comes, it's worth celebrating. When summer comes, it's worth celebrating. These things and many many more things are worth celebrating.

I know that the things I celebrate are real, they happen, there is something there, and that is the reason that they are worth celebrating.

Live for now, for this life, and have a good life, and try to make others have one as well.

  • You can celebrate a life without control and domination by the hierarchical power institutions that call themselves "religions". You can celebrate being free to make your own decisions and bowing down to no-one.

  • atheists have nothing to celebrate? first of all I consider myself to be "agnostic" for what it's worth, but I think this is one of the most ignorant, misguided statements of all time

it's such a standard of the excessively religious mindset to believe that others around you are less fortunate than you because they were taught something different...I have news for you pal...if you were born into an "atheist", islamic, whatever family, you'd have the exact same life as those you pity

  • Beautiful man.

  • These pathetic BIGOTS have what they consider to be a perfectly acceptable religious faith that they tell us suits them just fine.

WHY ON EARTH do they feel the need to LIE about us, to misrepresent our words, to falsely denigrate us, that is, to publicly smear our good names in excrement without just cause, and then turn around and call what they do to us "The Good News"?

  • MEANING OF LIFE IS JUST TO BE ...EXIST...ASK QUESTIONS...FIND PURPOSE...EVEN IN NOTHING DEATH DESTRUCTION....

  • the universe doesn't owe me a meaning, or a reason to celebrate.

  • We celebrate our lives, our children's lives and the fact that the second ammendment gives us the right to believe as we so choose.

  • 1:55 Neil's hand motions FTW.

  • FYI, we atheists celebrate our freedom

  • This was a joke video.

  • Thank you for this truly beautiful video.

  • YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Neil DeGrasse Tyson is sooooo awesome to listen to. His god of the gaps speech is EPIC!!!

  • Wow, quite brilliant. I've always loved that quote from the always brilliant Professor Dawkins but what was said by Neil Degrasse Tyson was beautiful.

  • I celebrate the fact that I do not blindly follow toss pot religions. Now get back to your worshiping, or blowing people up or whatever other activity YOU think that your god wants you to do, and leave Atheist alone..

  • Very cool video... ★★★★★ The christian that this video is in response to is yet another ignorant drone.

  • Your Jesus figure has nothing to do whit what you call christmas Yule is a pagan holliday. It

was properly Coca cola or some shit that invented the American xmas. We are stardust.

  • "Genes that have created millions of bodies without one single failure"... without one single failure?... how can anyone possibly upcomment this?

  • @XaviNL I think they mean that all the individuals in the ancestral line leading up to them were not failures. They were a success because they propagated species. I do agree OP could have stated it better.

  • These dudes shouldn't celebrate christmas because Jesus wasn't even born on December, These guys are the reason why we atheist are proud to be atheist. Because hypocrites like these people instead of using their believes to unite nations they put them apart. What a sad video. People believe in God for the wrong reasons. Expecting a paradise when they could simply have a paradise here.

The bible has killed more people than Hitler.

  • The idea that Atheists have nothing to believe in and nothing to celebrate is a Christian conceit based upon their own simple-minded belief that nothing but what they believe in could ever be true. Atheists believe in life, in verifiable realities, in the fact that the Universe holds mysteries we cannot fathom, and we celebrate life and the beauty found in life. Christians, Muslims, etc are mentally stultified by religious dogma and miss out on a full appreciation of life because of this.

  • Im not worried. The mind pollution that is religion will die out. The idea of god will only remain an idea, not a way of life. That era, will be a golden era. Religion will fade away with history and become only a memory of a time where people were deluded by their parents. I just wish I could experience a godless religion free world before I die. What happens when I die? Its impossible to know. Its rediculoud to claim. But hopefully I come back somehow, after my atoms return to the universe.

  • The bible is fully supported by science and logic. There are no problems with creation.

  • @warriorprince1010 Haaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahhahahhahahahahahaha *Wipes away tears*.... BAaaahnahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha *Passes out from laughter*

  • @KramerUSA wow you're a satanist? hahahahahah that means you believe in God yet choose to go against him anyway- hahahahah

    God bless

  • atheism is evil

  • @Helptheherd Basing one's moral decisions and beliefs on things which are measurable and testable by ANYONE apparently is evil, yet basing one's moral decisions and beliefs on a book whose fairy tales appear nowhere else in any other texts written during the same time period is not? I believe your logic is backwards. There's this awesome object between your ears called your brain. Try using it, you'll realize how wildly ridiculous the dogmatic things you believe in really are.

  • @Helptheherd troll

  • @carparknazi atheist troll

  • @Helptheherd agnostic

    God bless

  • @Helptheherd really?

  • @carparknazi thought so

    God bless

  • I hope that in the future we can celebrate the day we rid the world of religion. :)

  • When Christians accuse atheists that their lives have no meaning, I believe it's just them projecting their own insecurities on others. They are afraid that their life is meaningless, so they reassure themselves that their life has meaning by insisting atheists' don't. Such a pity.

  • @totalsextacy -Absolutely.

  • @totalsextacy christians have the need for a crotch to lean on, due to their lacking will and strenght, to stand for what they do, to accept what happens in the world, and blame it all on religion. atheist have the strenght to accept all these responsibilties on themselfs, they dont need religion. take away a christian their religion, and they fall...they have nothing left
