I've never heard of a Requinto! Kinda of like a tenor uke with extra strings in the bass. I liked the sound and would also (along with others) appreciate a review. Nice job on the tune too! I had never heard of it either. Gosh, I must lead a deprived life.

A requinto came into the scene in the early 40's.They are tuned A-D-G-C-E-A like a capo at the 5th fret of the guitar.

Read the same music of guitar but when played the sound is 4 notes higher.

Played with same tecchnique-No need to learn new "fingering".Small guitars-up to half size- can be use with requinto strings.

the strings (nylon) are thinner than the

corrsponding guitar strings.

That sounded great Grumpy! It's interesting to think that it has the same tuning as a ukulele, yet sounded more like a guitar. I'd never heard of the Requinto before, only the guitarlele. I'd agree with the others - I'd love to see a review video of it. Great value for $99!

actually though the uke does have the same top 4 strings tuned similarly due to re-entrant tuning the G is placed an octave up. Definitely fits somewhere in the middle between a uke sound and a guitar's. It's pretty much a guitar with a capo on the 5th fret.
