HI i dont have vatsim yet but i thinking of getting it, so i just wanted to know do you need fs2crew for the co-pilot to say v1 and v2 or do you get that in vatsim when you play
@780VolvoVn The aircraft or add-ons you use are down to you own personal preference. VATSIM is about simulating procedures, with proper ATC and flight planning.
@dag0620 I hope to soon when. I try an roll with fraps when I can, but somethings I make too many mistakes. I will try to do some new ones in the future.
i have a quistion, when you get clearence how do you remember all the things the atc is saying to you. The only thing i can remeber is the squawkcode and the rest i forget straight away. Any tips??
Yes you fly the SID ATC give you. They should be standard, for each route. More often or not a VOR or a intersection is the first leg of a flight plan. For example HON. There will be a Honiley chart with all the HON SID's on. The NATS website is very good for charts. google this and have a look.
it's actually QNH in europe and it's requied for baro altimetar to work properly...milibars is actually hPa. In USA they use inHg (inches of mercury) , known as altimeter..standard is 29.92 which is equal of 1013.24 hPa or mbar
Hi, i have just brought PMDG 737 but mine looks nothing like your :S its weird because mine looks really crap and their is no sids & stars in the fmc:s
FSX with a payware addon. Vatsim is like multyplayer with sevral diffrences. First of all instead of sessions, its 1 big server. You can fly anywhere and get atc from ppl all over the world. Also the atc is more advanced then the fsxc one. any questions pm please we can even go flying togehter.
It's useful more than anything, because they give you software which generates valid BA flight plans, and a ACARS system which gives you info. I think the BA and pilots, try to emulate the procedure as closely as possible. It's just a nice call sign and valid flight plan from my point of view, but other members take it more seriously.
It helps to have a pen and write down what they are saying to you. Then read it back. If they say read back correct, you have copied the instructions well and hopefully understood what it means.
I was just wondering how you have such good frame rates on Vatsim. I would much appreciate it if you could tell me what you've got the main setting set to and how the frame rates are so good!
It's hard to say. I guess a good PC helps, with general FS effects. In Squawk Box you can set the distance in which you can view other aircraft, and I think this might help with stopping them jerk around.
Does it even matter if we start the left or right engine first. I know most of the time they do so with the right engine. Would it have anything to do with APU
This is wrong. The engines are started on push back. The right engine is always started first in real life. I fly 763s for XL Airways. I hope this helps, If anyone has any questions about XL or the 767-300 aircraft, don't hesitate to ask me via Private Message
Thanks! I was the ground controller. My voice is less squeaky now, and I control Stansted Tower (EGSS_TWR) and as a visiting controller, hong kong tower (VHHH_TWR).
hiya! can u actually communicate with other pilots in the air who are on VATSIM? and ive seen your other video where u are actually flying a training plane, are u training to be a pilot?
No progressive taxi. VATSIM encourages a professional climate.
So ATC transmission such as 'request progressive taxi' or 'request the ILS' are rarely heard. Pilots are, helpful to other pilots, but should be self motivated and research by their own endeavour if they can, (ground charts, departures routes, flight planning etc.)
can you use time acceleration when you're using VATSIM? like, what if i wanted to fly internationally and I didn't want to wait for hours......
654321825 6 months ago
@654321825 Yes but you need to ask permission from atc. This is userly done on long haul flights. Like the cross the pond event.

When he said your cleared on the 'Honiley 1 Romeo' is this the one ATC assigned you ??????

This is the SID from RWY24R at EGCC (Manchester.)
Notice that the magnetic tracks have now changed at EGCC, So 24R is now 23R.
joolsd 2 years ago
So, when you file your flight plan do you include a SID and a STAR or do just fly the one ATC tell you to ??????

Are you a member of British Airways Virtual, because in all off your videos you seem to be either "SpeedBird" or "Shuttle"
If so how good do you rank it
Im a nembie to vatsim and need to know which virtual airline you think is good
thanks Jack

cool video. I am learning ATC with VATUSA. What plane is that. I mean I know you said 737 but what company made it?
cashcow69 3 years ago
Boeing. If an aircraft has 7_7 in its name, it almost definetly is Boeing.

What happens if you don't have a PMDG (so there for no FMC)...? It means i can't select a SID (or departure). Can i still fly...?
crazypilot123 3 years ago
Yes, but you need you use the charts and nav Aids
joolsd 3 years ago
But what do you say...? If they say the _____ departure what do i tell him coz i can't follow the departure...??

Richardelizee 4 years ago
Correct, although I started with the left. After closing one of the packs, this lets more air (from the APU) in to the other engine.
joolsd 4 years ago
the left is started dirst in real life. Givs the ground crew time to load last minute baggage. The cargo doors are on the right.

you can get all the charts for the u.k. airports -one chart type is airport diagram..this shows all the taxiways...you can now navigate yourself
BRADHblackdragon 4 years ago
You should try taxiing without progressive taxi, it is much funner. Once I got lost and nobody was able to explain where to go.

Yeah...if you like annoying controllers. Just pick up a chart and save them hassle :)
