Bootcamp is to run Windows instead of the Mac so you turn on your Mac and run Windows and if you want to use Mac OS X you have to restart the computer. This only makes sence for a heavier application. Something like Paint can very easily run under OS X. I have both VM Ware Fusion and Parallels. They say the latest version of parallels is better than Fusion but I haven't had a need to try it yet. At the time I bought Fusion it was better but they both keep coming up with improvements regularly.

great, but...my XP Pro SP3 works just fine in parallels, yet when i try bootcamp (parallels uses my bootcamp partition), bam, a unending loop starts because checkdisk is not found. what on earth is this about?

I do not have a Mac yet.
It is my desire to use Paint Shop Pro on Mac.
So, is Bootcamp ideal for this, or is this what you call Infusion best?

i think cause parallels emulates windows hardware, where bootcamp gets windows to run on mac hardware.

Awesome! Now it's even easier than manually doing it. Things transfer on there own from folders on windows to folders on Mac OS X!
