I AWARD THIS 3 1/2 DRESDENS...There may be some fine tonal shadings here,but like so many performers,he never transcended the gulf
that lies between understanding how to play an instrument & how that must be restructured into a focused & convincing affect.There is too little color,(although some of the texturing is nice).In the end the constant
lack of cpaitalizing on the appeal of all the turns of phrase make this another easy to forget Schumann performance.
Wow, this is great. Allthough I prefer to play it a little more singing, this version is very impressive!
