  • This is not a very good simulator, the champ car would get murdered in real life as anyone with half a brain would know already, awesome tune though!

  • Try stating that this is GAME footage in your title and people won't get pissed,it's a no brainer for those with common sense.

  • This is shit! When will YouTube start labeling these friggin cartoons as cartoons? Start now.

  • STOP CHILDEREN POSTING GAME VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE HOW STUPID CAN IT GET ...

  • @REXPARIAS Why not?

  • @JohnnoNinja maybe because its stupid?

  • @REXPARIAS Its a simulator, not a game, so therfore it does give a good indication of the relative pace of both cars, so I quite enjoyed this!

  • PLEASE STOP KIDS INFECTING YOUTUBE WITH GAME VIDEOS HOW STUPID CAN IT GET ...

  • Nice, but remix without the music.

  • nice

  • Damn, this was exciting!!

  • En la realidad, en un circuito, un champ car no tiene nada que hacer contra un F-1

  • This is not a real film but a computer generated one,for anyone who hadn't noticed.

  • @ChrisPackham its a game, and a bad looking one at that. theres no way anyone would NOT notice.

(before fanboys hit me with stones: the graphics are bad, not the simulation)

  • They always had less power actually.

  • Something's wrong here. Champ cars are outpaced by F1 cars by about 5 secs on a typical calendar track. They aren't as fast on the straights, or anywhere near as efficient in the corners.

  • AHAH funny video, what set up did you use for this track in the f1? Monaco? LOL! Did you put iron brakes on the f1 instead of the carbon one they usually mount?

  • what sort of CART mod are you using? All the mods with the -faster- DP01 are clearly slower than every F1 mod...

  • The video is as nice as the music in it ^^ ...Metallica 4ever !!! XD

  • F1 cars damn fast if let loose by engineers.. Many Americans dont believe this..

  • @FERRARIAVI *dont know this. not knowing something is something they are best at

  • @FERRARIAVI

considering that champcar are on a budget 1/10th of formula 1

    and are spec restricted

  • champ car was really good back in the late 90s and until 2005 when it was gone. the champ car can make even more power than the f1 but he weight of the car is 700 kg whereas in the f1 is 500 kg if champ car had the budget like f1 they would come up with something incredible.. in real life those old champ cars were fast as hell the indy car from today I don't like them. with a tenth of the budget they make champ cars imagine what they could do with an

  • this video is gay i thought u were gonna show a real video not a damn video game

  • Its a Computergame not real!! F1 is the best motorsport ever..

  • stop dude.....you're embarrassing yourself.

  • You're the one who is embarrassing yourself. You obviously know NOTHING about racing, so just stop.

  • i know more than you. promise. :)

  • F1 car is quick faster than a Champ car, in acceleration, braking, speed corner, max speed..

    stupid ignorant !!!

F1 car have F.I.A. restriction for gear box, air wings, tyres, chassis, fuel..

F1 car not utilized Venturi down effect,

If F1 world series, prepare a car for oval speed i'm sure that beat all speed record..

F1 techonology is by another planet !!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAAAAA!! if if if if. you must hate the fact that indycars bolw them f1 cars in the weeds. indycars are faster...period.

  • @penske13

Indy cars and champ cars never are quick faster by a F1 car..

you and others are real idiots...

F1 cars are quick faster in all tracks..

all indy and others americans motorsport team workers, know that F1 is 4 steps up by all motorsport series...

  • yea.....they are faster on road courses. f1 cars would get smoked on ovals. get used to it bub.

  • @penske13 1 ° ) second you.. Ferrari team or Mc Laren and others F1 teams are not or capable by make a F1 car for oval speedway ?

F1 engineers and technology are the best of world motorsport..

2° ) a F1 car, can run in an oval speedway with 2 - 3 simply changes...tyres for speedway track, chassis configurations and gear box...

  • your kidding right?they couldn't make a tire to handle one fucking high speed corner at indy and all of the michelin teams bailed on the race! formula 1 "borrows" a ton of innovation from indycar....just ask.

  • @penske13

Michelin in 2005 season failed at Indy Gp beacuse not having just tyres grip..

for security of his teams, bored the racing..

second, F1 car reach 5 + G in corner line..

and reach in road track elevated speed in corner..

sorry for you, but never see in motorsport history an Indy or Champ car take a corner line quick faster by a F1 car..

  • No, they would not. If geared properly, an F1 car would beat an indycar by a great deal. So it would appear that you are in fact an idiot.

  • @penske13 it would be simple to run an f1 car on a boring oval track, and it would be faster

  • @penske13 reading your crap i find it hard to determine whether you're just another patriotic american clueless idiot or just a troll. hmmm. the difference is so hard to tell :/

  • @TaoriUTS patriotic?! yes. idiot....sometimes. troll....never. i tell it the way i see it. right or wrong....it's my opinion. if you don't like it, go punch sand fucko.

  • just read chemhead1's reply. you're just nothing else some bastard without a valid opinion. because all you do is claim wrong stuff backed up by zero facts. that pretty much gives away that you're the sort of dude who obviously must be a christian... sorry to crush your world where you think us would be best at something without importing foreign technology. bloody clown

  • @TaoriUTS OOOH NOOOO!! you just crushed my world!! you evil doer you! i think you missed the point of the other post dude. on a proper racetrack....not the salt flats....an f1 car would be destroyed by an indycar. SO....i'm sorry to fracture your frail eurocentric values so easily. don't be a bum...just get educated. :)

  • @penske13 getting told to get educated by an american. ahahahaha. the irony is overwhelming :D you're such a muppet :) seeing how any person with common sense disagrees with you and you claiming indy cars who have about 300hp less, higher weight and worse aerodynamics i come to no other conclussion that you are either just stupid, or stupid and underage. whatever. enjoy your delussional world

  • @TaoriUTS hahahaa. you're funny....sorta.

  • what is top end speed of a champcar???

  • @dolphtrains2 415 km/h in top speed,390 km/h as average speed

  • Comment removed

  • In 1996, Paul Tracy recorded a trap speed of 256.948 mph (413.52 km/h) at Michigan International Speedway.

  • the quick slower F1 car in start grid. is quick faster by 10 seconds to lap by an Indy or Champ car..

you are a mental retarded.. to compare F1 with a shit car..

  • ROFL. Gayest comment ever.

Learn to speak English if you are going attempt your pathetic insults in English.

  • @Arianovich

  • what stupid shit I see on youtube... at least race a real simulator. Ill sell you one

  • Only one fact F1 and Cart on the same Montreal 4.36km racetrack

    F1 Canadian GP 2004

    Pole position 1.12.275 Ralf Schumacher

    2004 Molson Indy GP

Pole position 1.19.897 Sebastien Bourdais. I think now it´s clear who the faster series is !!!

  • No one is doubting F1 has the superior cornering and accelerating, but on a track like in the vid, a champ car would blow the F1 car away, the massively long straights, flat out corners. Champ Cars thrive on straights, F1's 'run out of puff' down straight-aways. They are both superior machines and I loved CART and I miss it, but the F1 this year is proving to be a turn around year and I am waiting anxiously for Webber to win!

  • F1 cars can be setup for higher top speeds if necessary....engineers can adjust the gearing and the aerodynamics. No current F1 circuit allows for speeds higher than 225 mph, but if setup right, F1 cars can reach 250+ mph.

  • @Metman07 an unrestricted indycar would easily go 260 at indianapolis. if you put it at fontana....talladega....the speed would be ungodly. indycars are THE fastest cars on the planet that run longer than 5 seconds.

  • @Metman07 Official top speed record for an F1 car still FIA legal is held by Honda in 2006, which peaked at 397km/h (247mph) at the Bonneville Salt Flats. With special aerodynamic sidepods, front wing, and the rear wing completely replaced with a vertical rudder (like the tail rudder on an airplane).

CART's record is 241mph (388km/h) by Gil de Ferran in 2000 at California Speedway. No special parts to aid it besides being in qualy trim, AND it had higher drag wing On the track, too.

  • @Metman07

You smoking the good stuff? lol j/k. No f1 car is able to pass 245 mph even with the best set-up. in fact most f1 cars without restriction only go up to 235mph.

  • @bogueji1 type to youtube search engine: F1 Honda top speed(F1 top speed test without front wing)

and there will be 413km/h to your sh!ty face! (it's more than 250mph)

  • @bosshunterman sorry, without rear wing, not front wing

  • They only "run out of puff" because the ratio for 7th gear is limited by the FIA

  • Agreed, the F1 V8's enter 7th at about 17500 rpm, engine is limited to 18000. FIA = GAY

  • its like. champ cars have low aeros to race fast speeds, just the f1 has aeros to reach decent speeds and corner at same time!

  • Dude...thats been established like a long ass time ago. Champ cars are heavier and arent geared like th F-1 cars. Champ cars were made for a mix of both speed and handling. F-1s are made for pure out acceleration and handling. The fact is, they're both awesome cars....regardless of who's faster.

  • @brixxer99: Better comparison would have been 2002, IIRC both series raced in Montreal in 2002 and IIRC da Matta had the pole and was between 6 & 8 seconds slower than the F1-pole. The german commentatores back then said that da Matta would have nearly rivalled the Minardi F1-cars.

In Montreal breaking and power are most important and in 2002 F1 should have had the overhand in both of them, because CART had already cut down HP, so I'd say a 2000 CART-machine would have been closer to an F1.

  • yeah that's absolutely right!

f1 = technology, hight speed Constructors - you have contently to speed up your car....

Indy car = same chassis with no aerodynamic progresses

They are more formula3 or GP2 cars by comparison, guys! ;-)

  • In the end they where, In the 80's and 90's it was more the other series, not on the same level but not a feder series either.

there used to be 3 differnt chassies, 4 different engins, 2 different tires. it was a hell of a serries and the racing was more competitive.

It was never ment to be F1, it was unique

    R.I.P. lol

  • Dam right it was unique. Long live the Ford Cosworth ED4! RIP CART.

  • that would never ever ever happen boys....when f1 tested at laguna seca, the f1 lapped 13 seconds faster than the world record...good video though

  • But yet Sebastian Bourdais holds the lap record at Laguna Seca, and he was in a Champ Car......go figure. What world record are you talking about??

  • @REVs99 yet champ car would later outpace it by a second i believe

  • Amazing that it ended up being that close for the entire race.

  • We all no that F1 is much more professionel than Champ Car. Look, the dominator of Champ Car, Bourdais had a very hard first year.

  • Because he was driving in a not so good car with the next world champion as a teammate. And i don't think he had a hard first year, Vettel was just exceptionel.

  • OK I like F1 better than everything but if you put an F1 driver in a champ car he would struggle there too. The cars are just different. To go from one series to another requires relearning how to drive a totally different car. Look at Montoya. He was a proven winner in F1, could beat Schumi(yes he never won the chamnpionship) but he didnt walk into NASCAR and clean up right from the start. But in all fairness everyone knows that all drivers want to be in F1. Shit I do...

  • F1 drivers are the best ones when they dive the fastest "cars", F1 cars.

Yes i agree when you change series it takes time to adapt but Montoya will never adapt totally because he is good Single seat driver and there are better car(NASCAR) drivers than him.

P.S. Look at the 2007 race of champions final where Schumacher lost 2 runs in a bigger an heavier car(cup version of a normal car) and easily won in a single seater.

  • but montoya won in USA in his first year for single siters. F1 drivers allways win american series when they move there. CART drivers struggle with F1 cars. F1 are more difficult to drive.

  • f1 2.4 v8 car 750ps and 605kg with driver

champ car 750-80ops 715kg without driver(60-70kg in f1 car in champ car probable some fat american with cca 90-100kg.

So f1 has better power to weight ratio, better brakes, better grip.

In 2006 honda went to mojave desert and with v10 f1 car(950 ps) set 415 km/h(258 mph)and car fully met the FIA Formula One regulations.

  • It did not meet FIA race regulations, it had specially made wings for that 'publicity' stunt. It had next to no downforce, it was designed to go flat out and in a straight line. Champ Cars hold the world record for the fastest lap on a closed circut.

  • @mytchook For no other reason than F1 cars don't race on ovals and for good reason. Why are Champ Cars 5 seconds a lap down round Gilles Villeneuve?

  • Ouch...we arent all fat lol. Yes too many of my fellow Americans are fat...GOD DAMN FAT. But I argue that until now F1 did not have better grip, with tires, because they ran on grooves. But they still managed to beat the pants off champ cars. But are you sure the honda was running race spec? I saw vids at Bonneville where there was no rear wing at least if not a few other aero devices removed.

  • yes, car did have a rear wing that suites FIA regulations but it was simplest(with low downforce and drag) version and it looked like a shark fin.

Grooves tyres in F1(thanks to michelin and bridgestone rivalry) were highly advanced and could easily beat many slick spec tyres in terms of performance. also you dont get grip only from the tyres, you get it from the chassis , suspension, wings... and in all of this areas F1 is better than any single seater

  • What I saw was no rear wing but a single, square rear fin. Yes the grooves were very advanced at the time but there is no replacement for rubber on the road. The actual contact patch of a grooved tire is half that of slicks & no amount of tech can overcome that. And yes the mechanical grip of the rest of the car is part of the equation but not in a straight line with little or no downforce. And when I said F1 didnt have better grip I was only referring to the tires, which I explicitly said

  • Yes, square wing that suits FIA regulations and if there is a track in f1 calendar where car could benefit from that kind of wing teams would be using it.There is no secret that slick tyres provide you better contact to surface but contact patch of the grooved tyres is more than half of slick ones. Also that does not necessary have to mean better grip(between f1 grooved tyre and champ car slick tyre). Softness of the tyre is very important. I think that f1 tyres are softer than champ cars.

  • No, it was a single vertical fin. The was no horizontal foil to generate negative lift on the car. Think of it like a single end plate moved to the middle right over the gear box. And the tech that went into F1 tire rubber probably was better than champ car rubber, but grooved tire were enforced by the FIA BECAUSE they provide LESS traction by means of a smaller contact patch for the purposes of slowing to cars down because they were too fast.

  • Once again i agree that f1 grooved tyre provides less traction than f1 slick tyre but i think that f1 grooved tyre can (or even better) does provide more traction than champ car slick tyre. In your first comment you said that F1 does not have better grip than champ car because of the grooved tyres and that is simply not truth. Look at the acceleration times of those cars with and without TC, F1 has almost identical times and Champ car is way off.

P.S. Wing or fin it is still proper F1 car

  • OK in 500 words its just too hard to say everything to explain what you want to say. So if champ car slicks have less traction than F1 grooves show me the data. We dont even know the compounds being used. As far as acceleration goes, a superior car can make better use of inferior tires and out accelerate an inferior car. Do you have the acceleration numbers for champ car vs F1? And for crying out loud when have you ever seen a fin on an F1 car and not a rear wing? No downforce

  • 1.I did not say that one tyre has advantage(of course i do not know exact tyre compounds and specifications). i was commenting your statement that until now F1 did not have better grip. That is not truth.

    2. Honda set the record for f1 cars, therefore car did suit FIA regulations

    3. No horizontal part of the wing does not means 0 downforce(in f1 car case) because 40% downforce on the rear of the f1 car creates diffuser.

  • never mind...

  • Look up the video on YouTube:

    Bonneville-Just for the record

and tell me thats a legal, FIA approved rear wing. Pause it at 2:04.

Now dont mistake what Im saying as Champ car is better than F1 in performance. The mechanical grip of an F1 car (meaning chassis & suspension) far outstrips the spec performance of any Panoz built champ car

  • Besides F1 cars weigh in at 1334lbs & champ cars weigh in at 1575lbs. With comparable hp the F1 car has the distinct advantage in hp/ton thus much better acceleration, 0-62 in 1.7s vs 0-60 in 2.6s respectively

  • we all know F-1 cas outpace Champ cars for one reason....the F-1 car was design than handle at speed. All this adds into acceleration, braking and corning. While a Champ car can kick some ass on a GP track, its not made for jus GP tracks.....its made for a mix of both pure out speed on super speedways and good handling on GP tracks. Both cars are awesome in their own ways. Both have rich history...both sound good and both are fast as fuck.

  • Finally a comment with some sense! People don't realize that Champ and F1 shouldn't be directly compared because they race on different tracks and exploit a different essence of speed. Furthermore, both cars are performing under potential due to engineering restrictions.

  • you'd figure people would notice that....but they're still stuck in this "Our car is kooler" gig. Opne yo eyes people!! If thats the case, Nascar and ACCA Trans Am are the same!!

  • champcar beating modern f1s? bwahahahhaa

  • on a track like this? Yes.. it could happen

  • Champ Car have a higher top end speed. Formula 1 has the quicker acceleration and cornering. I would love to see a late 97 or early 98 Champ car up against a current F1 car. That would be interesting!!

  • Agreed!

  • Now that'll be a match up. the late 90s Champ Cars were made to be just as quick as an F-1 in both the straights and the corners. Those were the days....

  • @mytchook Higher Top end speed? Not on the track that both series have actually RACED on.

  • round an oval the champ car would be much faster than an f1.

A champ car creates much less drag due to its simpler aero package.

Round a track like hungary or laguna seca an f1 car would own a champ car.

F1's are More advanced cars Champ cars are at least a decade behind f1 technology.

  • Actually the lap record at Laguna Seca is Sebastian Bourdais in a Champ car, he was 2 seconds quicker than the Toyota F1 car.

  • The Toyota F1car had demo tyres, short revs (monaco settings) and it was the first time that an F1 car drove on Laguna Seca. Believe me, when F1 had a race out there they would be 2 or 3 seconds faster then a Champ-car. Still, a Champ Car still has good speed, comparing an F1 budget to an Champ Car budget as far as car developing is concerned.

  • @mytchook No, F1 car was not even setup, which already makes the difference of 2-3 seconds. A fully setup Mclaren, for instance, will be roughly 4 seconds faster than Bourdais' time. The difference wasn't two seconds. Remember, look to the Villeneuve circuit for actually comparisons in performance. The F1 is supreme in every way.

  • The Music beatiful

    The Cars beatiful

    The Idea brilliant

    Thank you very much.

But who will win in your opinion, if this will be real?

  • the F-1 cars......for two reasons....they're quicker in take off and can handle better which means a higher turn in speed for the corners.

  • The f1cars are small and Bull #$%^##$^.

  • First of all, Christian Albers isn't a shitty F1 driver. Second, I drove this champcar against 2 BMW F1's driven by the computer. Maybe I'll make another movie, but then driving a F1 car against a Champcar and I would probably win. Third, in the real world I think that a F1 car is faster then a Champcar.

  • F1cars suck . Here an fact champcar have V8 engine with turbo and an champcar top speed is

240MPH!!!!!!and rock and roll and it rules!!.

  • IRL have no turbo on their engine IRL shut up.

  • F1 slow.

  • You have a shitty F1 driver like Christijan Albers go up against a quality Champ Car driver like Tracy or Servia, im sure the outcome would be in Champ Cars favor also.

  • dats bollcoks it shit every1 knws a champ car wud b ripped by a F1 car way more technology in F1 and they much faster...

  • Thats not exactly true. Given the rules in place to limit the Wear and tear on the engine and chassis of a Champ Car now adays, a Champ Car would technicaly be lapping around tracks slower then an F1 car. However if you unleash a Champ Car (IE ditch the blow off valve and what not) it could hold its own easily against a F1 car.

Compared lap times between CART / Champ Car and F1 on the same tracks show that a Champ Car really isint that far off of F1 cars at all.

  • talkin about limations do u even knw the limntaions that are on a F1 car like champ cars can ave slicks not F1 so dat makes u faster....aslo arodynamic ristrictions... F1 has engine ristricstions 2 so if u wana start wiv ristrictions dnt start cuz a champ car wud get blown and look hw old da aerodynamic designs are on champ car looks like 80s F1 car haha...

  • What an F1 car top speed/MPH

  • I think they can do a 220 mph on a track like Monza, I'm not exactly sure though...

  • they did a test in a modified honda f1 and got it up to 250mph on a runway, it did have a non standard aero package on it with no wings etc. but they crack 220 at monza.

  • the record on track for a champ is 256 top speed at Michigan

  • No the record, which is a world record is Gil Deferran at California Speedway which was an average lap speed of 242MPH, or 387 KMH, that is an average over the whole lap.

  • But Monza is an permanent circuit, not a speedway.

  • der ferrari fon 2004 390 km/h^^

the ferrai from 2004 drive 390 kmh and more (v10)

at this thime wee use v8... so we have only 350-360 ....^^ and a champ car?

  • Champ cars can crack 285mph if given the room in qaulify'in trim. 250mph is reached while racing on tracks like Michigan and Fontana.

  • f1 car would of cracked 300mph(500kph) by now if they hadn't slowed them down in the 80s think 1500hp v12 with f2004 chassis :P,,... fort so

  • uummm....but they arent 1500hp and cant do 300mph. They'll barely pass 215 on most tracks because of the straight away length. Champ Cars regularly tap 245mph when racing on super speedways. next....

  • did u read the fuking comment properly did i say f1 cars have 1500 hp and go 300mph no.

  • i read your comment properly ....but does it fuckin matter?! No!! It is what it is.....they're both different cars ment for different racing.....get over it.

  • btw honda 2005 v10 256mph at daytona speedway

  • note "most tracks" in my statement.....

  • you are such an asshole, first you should read about down force and why the cars cant reach those speeds ona a circuit and after that, coment

  • i bet you had a lot of fun making that video.
