Guys, that alarm is to warn people that there's someone on the tracks. It sends a signal to security and to the oncoming trains. The trains stop and the security guards come along to sort out the situation.
NEVER jump in to save sum1 unless they arnt touching the track (metal silver shiny parts) because on some tracks you will get electricuted and die instantly!... it happened to somebody i know :(
@mistofoles The funny thing is this is the norm, everyone minds their own business. When I was there my friend who was born and raised in Yokohama swore to me that the families of people who committed suicide on the subway were fined 500 grand because suicides held up the trains and made people late for work.
@mistofoles I kid you not sir XD, my friend could have been joking, but my experiences there led me to believe she was telling the truth. I remember her mother once telling me "a failure should sum up the courage to die." when I looked at her funny she said "In America people tell other people how great they are, in Japan you have to prove it." mind you she was talking about her 28 year old son-in-law who couldn't afford to buy her a luxury vehicle
@mistofoles then if you're in a car crash, even if you were the one that was hit, you still have to pay because they believe it's partly your fault for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. of course the one that has to pay the most is the guy at fault, but that's still wrong. at least, that's what i heard when i lived there
When you are in a train and see the rails wet, that means that it's raining and that the train derailed (normally you can't see the rails from inside).
if sombodies on the tracks nobodies dumb enough to try and save him unless they knew the trains were stopped and the power was cut causing you could end uplike him if u went after him thats why they say dont get on the tracks their high voltage dumbass

Almost all Japanese train tracks are not electrified, they are powered by line suspended above the tracks.
