  • actually it was written for the remaining nirvana members

  • Reminds me of Nirvana

  • One thing I always do when listening and toking is imagine like the meaning of the song (besides making some awesome imaginations for the music) (but thats like everysong...) anyway for this small one when I first heard it I thought it was the perfect ending because its true that something so good would end in 5 complete albums... They really are unique to their style...

  • @420Xbx kyuss had 4 albums, just saying

  • I like this song...It should be used at the end of a zombie apocalypse\alien invasion movie, after the victory of the heroes and the destruction of the monsters, when mankind is going to rebuild the world.

    Excuse me I'm high now...

  • i should be studying for my exam tomorrow...instead im listening to kyuss, and i like it better.

  • Amazing song. Creepy but good at the same time

  • call me a pussy if you want but everytime i listen to this song i tear up a little, its for kirst and dave, but at the same time a feel like in a way its kind of the whole band saying goodbye to each other, it kinda makes you think of all the great music they created, and those slowly played chords by josh just makes it so much sadder

  • @peacelovemusic2461 The song is actually very Kurt-like, I've heard tons of Nirvana demos and they sound similar to this. Slow power-chords, a tender melody whined out, with some backing vocals close-behind.

  • i use this song while floating near the sun getting my sun dipped power up.

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN Listen to the lyrics, and you'll understand why

  • i think kyuss is my new drug

  • i'm not quite sure but this song talks about death

  • Scott Reeder you are the human form of jesus himself. Too fucking cool for this planet.

  • sounds like nirvana

  • Such a good song, reminds me of Nirvana.

  • @lecrapauddejerri9 It was dedicated to Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic after Kurt Cobain committed suicide, apparently... I read that off of Wikipedia, so it probably isn't 100% accurate.

  • I cant play guitar.

But i learned this song today.

Played it until my fingers couldnt take any more.

And after hours of learning and playing and listening and worshipping.

I just want to play it all night.

And listen to it all day.

    Beautiful.

  • @j1mmyj03 fuck yeah, fuck yeah

  • @Honeytrip420 holy fuck yeah to your fucking fuck yea, fuck yeah!!

  • what a fucking beautiful song... \m/

  • some people say that this is dedicated to dave & chris (grohl and Novoselic) it should be to chris & dave cause dave was the new one but anyway i find it hard to believe maybe afterwards they chose to use this track as a dedication but on demon cleaner single from 94 its almost impossible timeline problems

  • @QOTSAPT To me, this sound more like a goodbye to Kyuss...

  • @QOTSAPT I don't think either of them give a shit whos name is first. That's a little childish.

  • @iSabotage you are right I was just stupidly trying to find some reason to justify something, cause i dont believe that this was realllllllllly dedicated to Dave & Chris

  • @QOTSAPT Why not? :o

  • @iSabotage I find it little info online and much of it in blogs I would like to read something more reliable than wikipedias small Kyuss page

  • this is indeed hiddden on ...And the Circus Leaves Town (1995) but it is also on Demon Cleaner single (1994)

#4 Kyuss - Day One (to Dave & Chris)

  • @QOTSAPT not really hidden just 20 mins into spaceship lading lawl

  • @CephalicZyklon hard to reach man

  • What a way to end the existence of a legendary act.

  • When I listen to this song In october and on halloween, I feel perfectly 100% complete.

  • dudes reading some comments almost made me cry..

kyuss hold a pretty big part of my emotions/life...

helped and still help me through my teen years...

i found a support there ,that olny a friend could give me...

aaah... the sky is blue again after so many months of raining here...

i can almost hear catamaran in my head...

    ah... RIP kyuss...

but you will NEVER die...live in our hearts.. :'(... i cried.. im a fag .. :S

  • @InTheSideOfLight

John Garcia is on a Kyuss tour! I'm going to see them play in may :D (they're also going to play slo burn and unida tracks)

After that, I can die happy...

  • @td6d ooh myy god!!!

    WHAT??

is that for real?need details dude..

    A.S.A.P.

  • @InTheSideOfLight

    Just google; 'Garcia plays Kyuss'!!

    He's on Hellfest too ^^ Can't wait

  • i heard of kyuss about a year age. I can't get enough. It's the shit!!!

  • best song ever written by human hand. noone fucking knows how much we miss you..

  • Is there only guitar or guitar plus bass? Thanks.

  • I believe both of them are playing.

  • Thanks, blitheringFool!

  • i am at peace when i hear this song

  • That's crazy this is for the remaining members of Nirvana.....(to Dave and Chris)

  • It has an obvious "Something in the way" flavour, plus it is also a hidden track. Also, one of the most beautiful slow songs kyuss wrote, a gem.

  • Why did they have to break up before I was old enough to appreciate them? Can someone explain why all the good bands where long gone before I was old enough? All I've got in my era is 1,000,000,000 guys 1 haircut and the same music :/ can anyone recomend more like this and failure?

  • I know what you mean. Back in the day when artists died or stopped playing, there popped up new bands to keep the tendancies of awesome music going (Like with Jimi Hendrix and then The doors). Queens of the Stone Age rose from the ashes of Kyuss, but I don't think after QotSA there'll be a new band to take the banner. It saddens me that we're left with Kings of Leon and crap bands like that

  • So instead of whining form your own band

  • What do you think I'm trying to do?

We only need a drummer and we're off :)

  • Thats pretty rad!

  • Yeah, it's gonna be something in the stoner-rock genre but with higher pitched vocals and I'm guessing a bit faster. As I see it, it should be awesome

  • sad but true man, now i guess its all about what the mass public wants and what brings in the chedda. as for bands check out slo burn, electric wizard, unida, fu manchu, and theres many other

  • This is actually better than Spaceship Landing, in my opinion.

  • The true Kyuss "Swansong". Miss the hell outta you guys. Fifteen years ago, 'this time became a part of me

And now this burning memory'. RIP Kyuss. No one will ever stand against you

  • best fuckin band ever! no one nowhere ccan ever match these guys

  • kyuss is great

  • This song quiets my mind

  • I know, every time this songs kicks in (i always hear music in random order), the muscles of my face just relax entirely and I can't avoid to say loud a very calm "WOW!"

  • Goddamn guys...I soooo fuckin' miss Kyuss... ;(

  • I like to imagine that the middle of Spaceship landing is one epic travel through the silence of space, and then this song kicks in just as the hatch opens and the astronaut lands on the alien surface for the first time.

  • You are so stoned and I am so jealous.

  • yeah I know space fiction with stoner/space rock is super :)

  • Comment removed

  • weirdo lol

  • @p47plane thank you man! new feelings!

  • @p47plane that's because you're on a lot of drugs

  • @p47plane the lyrics match perfectly dude..

  • wants this played when ever i tilt my head and see the beauty in life

  • The ability to say so much in only 1:49 is a gift.

  • great lyrics

  • awesome song
