  • "Color of Pommegranetes," with better color.

  • whats the point of putting such a great looking movie up in such shitty quality

  • Hola.

  • Love this film maker.....

  • shit

  • Fellini films are hard to understand for me.. but Satyricon is so beautiful to watch that even if I don't get all of what they are saying it is still such a wonderful theatrical master piece. Even when you watch the trailer for Satyricon it tells you nothing about the movie, just outstanding and enchanting cinematography.

  • I call this movie, "Great theatrical homosexual LSD."

  • @LaGioiella This film, was inspired in Petronius,(poet of Neron)He committed suicide at a banquet front Neron.Slashing her wrist.Satiricon was the first novel before the Bible. These are two guys who want to efebo16-year.There is a wedding like Neron(wedding homosexual)Contrary to other works, you can see how the populace lived, unaccustomed to the Roman patricians.advanced film for 69 years.I really like and you're right, hallucinatory this film.

  • I love this film by Fellini!

  • it's a sick movie, but I love it!!!

  • I watched this up until 4 in the morning I was so tired this movie is so weird to watch when your tired...

  • Andrew Rudin's music score did a lot for this movie.

  • questa sarebbe la COENA TRIMALCHIONIS

  • In this film there are some shocking images of a dark taste (I'd say sad / pessimistic). The usual nostalgia of the Master is multiplied to represent the memory of a time immemorial. The earthquake is hallucinating.

  • When I was an under graduate many years ago, my professor of Classical Literature told us that The Satyricon was the first European novel. What survives of the novel is incomplete as some of it was lost. From what I learned of Petronius, the author of the novel he was quite a genius in a very dark time in human history. He was a suicide who spent his last hours enjoying frivolous songs as his veins bled out.

  • brilliant movie

    not many people understand it

  • Fucking weirdest film of my life. Then I realized it was based on a satire of Nero's escapades then it all made sense.

  • This scene is somewhat reminiscent of our law firm's Christmas party last year.

  • rofl

  • Dockstader music! And Mimaroglu!

  • This movie is INCREDIBLE. I once saw it years ago late at night on SBS (Australia) and absolutely LOVED it. I never knew what it was though until last year a friend showed it to me thinking I'd like it. An aural/visual masterpiece.

  • Fellini's downfall was his self absorption. His early movies are more story centered and have some insight into characters but they become increasingly superficial, self indulgent and outlandish for no reason . Camera wizardry and outlandishness of characters is not enough to carry a film. See his earlier films which have more emphasis on character and story.

  • The self-absorption reflects that of Roman society, a society not unlike our own. One where a vast majority across the globe live in misery and abject poverty fighting for water, space and beliefs that replace non-existent food as sustenance. The glorious vision of a mad world where an elte abandon themselves to pleasure; bathing in an orgy of blood and copulation. Fellini; circus master, player of tricks throwing the distorted mirror in our faces. Ha, ha, ha, as the minotaur comes for its prey

  • I want to watch this movie again, I only remember short parts, since I was very little. It looks so bizarre, it captivates me even more. It's just so artistic, i call it a masterpiece.

  • this was a beautiful film because of the most beautiful boys, Gitone was so pretty, as were the others, a sweet visual treat.

  • This is the strangest, weirdest movie that I have ever watched in my entire life.

  • I watched this movie stoned, and I thought it was confusing when being sober lol.

  • A true masterpiece!
