Adrian, don't you ever sleep!?!? This video is gonna go viral in the woodworking community. Your scrollsaw dovetail method is exactly what thousands of guys have been waiting for. Congratulations on another spectacular How-To video. Aloha. Clayton
Youtube finally let me fix this. ;o) "Yet another masterful video showing just what an ingenious and crafty individual you are. I'm going to have to give this a shot on my new DeWalt scroll saw. World of difference from the crapsman I had before. That Hawk sure is nice too. ;o) thanks, mate."
As your stock gets thinner, you need a steeper dovetail angle to maintain strength, and the steeper dovetail angle automatically provides a larger gluing area.
@Aristocob : Thanks for the comments. Yep - this method is only good for small projects. I just cannot justify buying one of those expensive dovetail jigs that work with a router.
@adrianiredale Yeah, I used to do the same thing before my router obsession kicked-in! BTW, I've been enjoying your work on Clayton's clocks for some time now. Nice work.
@turbo1zz YT doesn't police comments, though they should. Nice video and process, but folks who wish to use this method for anything large, such as a drawer, should be aware that these angles are extreme. Normally you'd use 1:6 for softwood, 1:8 for hardwood.
Beautiful work! The magnet is a great touch.

@turbo1zz : Thanks for taking the effort but I read the first comment as "shot". By the way, my scrollsaw is an Excalibur and I love it.
