Great upload. Giants they certainly are. Mulligan's solo is amazing. One of the great albums of all time. Verve certainly did put out really great records. My favorite label. People esp the kids of today don't know how lucky they are to have something like u tube where they can hear all this great music.
I think 'round about the time they were doing this, I had an LP with Polly Bergan singing it. When Arbogabo wrote his comment, I wasn't on You Tube, so I missed his comment ang a whole gang of "right-up-my-alley" Music! Oh well... sic transit gloria mundi, or words to that effect!
Nice, thanks! This shows (again) that Einar Swan's great song can very well be played at a faster tempo. I especially enjoy Peterson's technical restraint, Ray Brown's steadily walking bass and Bellson's elegant ride pattern (although I would have appreciated a few accents) . Is Herb Ellis somewhere in the background -- can't detect him? It's all very relaxed and a beautiful example of mainstream jazz from the period between swing and bop.
This is a magnificent Dream Team! Mulligan, Peterson, Getz and Sweets Edison! What could we can do more? Sublime!!!

A fine drummer, Louis Bellson. Relaxed, long strokes, no dominant hi-hat. Gives the men room to stretch out.
