@2WaffleSisters Patriots didn't drink tea because they boycotted it. Due to the taxes on tea that the British government enforced, patriots (pretty much colonists) decided it wasn't fair ("no taxation without representation"). They boycotted buying the tea imported by the East India Company (granted a monopoly to sell to the colonies). This led to the Boston Tea Party (men disguised as Mohawks threw tea off of the harbour). Haha sorry I wrote so much :p
